this is not the kind of thing i want to be seeing.. it reminds me of the "tea party moement" which started off with ron paul supporters, and then quickly turned to palin supporters...and now the secession moement is turning into some religious tyranny, if you beliefe this guy.. look, we een hae some kill the gays talk below...well, im begining to think that the enemies of freedom are on a quest to demonize eerything thats sensable and good... we need to get rid of the horrid fed, but ...
This guy is apparently far less intelligent than he would have the viewer believe. As a Southerner born and raised and as a delegate representing Tennessee to the Southern National Congress, I detest your view of my People and if you like California so much then I can only say, Go West young man!
Obviously with that shirt, you show you are a flaming homosexual...The South will rise again....and now we know who you are !!! Scumbag Liberal human waste...The decayed rotting flesh of society!!
I don't understand how you can be pro-Palin, who governs according to faith, but also believe there is no God. I did not vote for Palin specifically because of this. I don't mind Christianity, but I do not want faith involved in my government.
I support League of the South. This man doesn't have the right to force is atheist, humanist socialism on Christians. We don't want abortion shoved down our throats. Homosexuals in CA have attacked churches, Christians and are such violent haters they threaten to burn down churches and kill people, attack Christians, deny freedom of speech and religion and attack democratic rights to vote. The homosexual activists are dangerous. Christians want a nation where we have liberty and safety.
Are you a homosexual? I saw that you mentioned How hypocritical Dr. Hill is because he stated that queers should not be allowed in Dixie, while wanting Liberty. I think that you're being hypocritical because, In order to have Liberty there has to be quidelines to preserve the Liberty of others. You preserve the Liberty of others by requlating things that may be harmful to that Liberty, Culture or Community. Move to San Francisco. Please write me back if you wish debate over something.
I believe that for a crime to take place there must be victim. Any social or commercial interaction people have which they willingly engage in and neither party is physically harmed or defrauded ought to be unmolested by the state. San Francisco many allow homosexuals more freedom to interact but there are thousands more laws interfering with commercial interactions there than in Tennessee. As for regulating Culture, that sounds less like Liberty and more like the Kulturkampf.
Hey, I'm shopping for recordings of Don Giovanni and Der Ring des Nibelungen. With Don Giovanni I'm torn between getting the 1960 Carlo Maria Giulini recording or the 2007 Rene Jacobs recording. As for the Ring, I'm torn between the Georg Solti cycle and the Herbert von Karajan cycle. What are your thoughts? Which do you prefer?
People can have freedom, but morals and social morres are to be followed in the culture. All cultures have them and the South is no different. Homosexuals are not welcome in the south.
Hmmm... I wonder what a Republic of Iowa would be like? Did you meet any Iowans? If you did, PLEASE tell me they were libertarians. By the sounds of it, some of these fruitcakes make Hillary and Rudy sound like a Utopia.
The League of the South has been the only halfway decent sized pro-secession group I can think of for a while and they endured a lot of stupid attacks and yet people want to go to their conferences and attack them?! If this person is tolerant, I will be glad to be called intolerant.
As a non-White person, it sometimes amazes me that these tolerant cultural liberals don't get meanings. Tolerance does not mean acceptance. Don Kennedy can talk about not having homosexuality in the South and still talk about liberty because one is an undesirable cultural trait and the other is political. Liberty does not mean libertinism.
This person is clearly culturally liberal and lives in the southeast and went to a seccesionist convention. There is not much about modern cultural liberals who are pro-homosexual, anti-Christian, and fall over for non-Whites saying things like "Wow there are no non-Whites, this must be a Klan rally". My comment continues...
This guy is just too damn biased. The more of an accent has, the less credibility they have, huh wogs?
American education has done a number on you. Can you define why the LoS is insane? You do realise that Christian Exodus is NOT affliated with LoS, do you not?
Oh great! A Constitutional lecture from Yankee Doodle! I forgot that you know all about freedom, liberty and Democracy! We souterners know first hand, Sherman style!
The South still reveres the tenets of our historic Christian faith and acknowledges its supremacy over man-made laws and opinions; that our Christian faith provides the surest means of securing the welfare of all mankind; and that our primary allegiance is to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Church.
Then the real question to ask them next time is do they envision some kind of theocratic state or must there be a dedicated principle of non-establishment of religion.
If they are for the creation of a state religion, they just made an enemy out of me.
Great coverage of the convention, and I have to agree with your summation. It's a shame that such a wonderful idea as secession is almost entirely in the hands of people who would use it to turn back freedom, liberty, and democracy even more than our current federal government has. Glad you thought the California guy wasn't a kook. I'll be in touch with them to find out more.

Homosexuality does not need to be stamped out but it doesn't have to be forced on people through the media.

What an idiot.
Notice how he takes the high ground, superir to everyone he's just met.
Typical Liberal.
If the economy tanks, he won't survive California-and if he does, he won't be a Liberal when he comes out of it.

In terms of religions, I think Christianity is much less dangerous than Socialism.

Freedom religion is rather important to those not a member of the majority. Jefferson knew this. Apparently these southerners have forgotten.

I didn't hear any of them advovating state religion. Can you produce evidence to the contrary?

From the LoS website:
