the triple premiership Brisbane side was just astonishing. Black, power, lappin, leppitch, vossy, brown, lynch and the best of all AKERZZ. Akerz is known to be over rated but its quite a different story when he kicks the match sealing goal infront of a 90,000+ crowd. Unbelievable stuff that man can produce.

As this was an upset! brisbane had won 15 in a row goin into this game! including beating essondon relatively easily. Essendon loosing to carlton in 99 was an upset but not so much this. It was an even game and brisbane were better on the day

Actually Essendon had a year full of injuries thats why they lost games in 2001 and were not very fit going into the finals.

but u know what..theres alot of geelong-hawthorn of 2008 in this grand final..and i think geelong are the best team ive ever seen..im sure if they replayed that grand final a week later..geelong would have won..but they gotta win it this year otherwise essendon and geelong both go down with 1 flag when they so deserved 2-3 each. u people agree with me? lol
