In the Lakers vs Orlando series Dwight only had one game of amazing basketball. Bnyum, even though he only had a few good games, did his job as a center and contained Dwights performance. Shouldn't Ogden have done that as well against Yao? Their both young as well so theirs no excuse for how Ogden played.

First I would like to say that I have been to at least one Blazer game every year, during the real bad years when the Rose Garden was half empty, so I know I am entitled to be excited about this year. Denver is not going to be good this year. Dallas is falling off. So that leaves the Spurs, Utah, LA, and the Suns (although they are getting old too.)
LA has the best of both worlds youth and experience. Hornets are going to be good, as well as Denver. You can never discount San Antonio, Houston, or Dallas. Utah is also the bigger team physically. Portland is going to have to fight like hell to even get close to a playoff position.

They did have him starting, but for some reason he struggled. Then they put him on bench and he flourished. It reminds me of cliff robinson back in the day. Travis can easily be the sixth man of the year...he is an incredible spark of the bench...I think he is perfect right where he is.
Well they did try to start Outlaw..he just did not produce the same way he did off the bench for some reason. You have to admit, as a sixth man of the year...ghe is a great asset and a great spark of the bench for our team.
1.) Aldridge is a PF, while Outlaw is a SF/SMALL power forward. Outlaw can play it when he can take advantage of a slower PF on the other team...not against all the starting PF's of the league.
2.) Aldridge is better. He helped carry this team offensively, and he improved his post play, rebounding, and defense DRAMATICALLY in his 2nd year. Sky is the limit.
3.) Aldridge will likely be the starting PF on the Blazers for the next decade or so...he's KIND OF a big deal... (Anchorman reference...)

Also why can't you just give credit to the blazers for putting together a pretty decent team over the last few years. The Jailblazer era is long gone. You can't go wrong with the richest and best owner in all of sports. You have the best player in the league with Kobe, but outside of him our second and third best players on our team are better than yours.
Because what has Portland always done on a consistent basis, they lose. They have had chances to do great things yet they fail to ever do anything better then medicore. Also I live in Oregon so I can talk bad about them as much as I like. :P I live near Tigard.
Maybe you should move to LA since you are so in love with them. You are right the Blazers did not sweep the Lakers but it seemed like it. The bottom line is the Blazers will have the better team next season. Lakers lack on Defense and rebounding. Even with Bynum the lakers would not have been able to make up the 20 rebound edge the C's had in game 6. Again the weakest front line belongs to the Lakers. There isn't much more to debate on this. The Blazers will prove it next season.
I'm sorry it was a 19 rebound edge. I don't see Bynum making up for that. Lakers as of late have had more success than Portland. But thats all about to change. Overall though, the C's have dominated the Lakers in every aspect. I am going to agree to disagree. I just HATE everything about LA including the city. In the Lakers vs Orlando series Dwight only had one game of amazing basketball. Bnyum, even though he only had a few good games, did his job as a center and contained Dwights performance. Shouldn't Ogden have done that as well against Yao? Their both young as well so theirs no excuse for how Ogden played.

Nah dude... Think of the big picture, Durant is a tall Iverson. We already have Fernandez, Batum, and Outlaw in the SF SG spot. Plus Roy wouldn't do well with a player like Durant. The only thing the Blazers need to win a title is a dominating center. Greg Oden is that guy. Its not easy coming back from a knee surgery. It took Amari Stoudemire a year to recover now he is doing amazing. When Oden comes back and starts dominating, You can bet your ass no one will want to see them in the Playoffs!

When Portland won the championship (which was a fluke) they had Bill Walton. One of the best passing centers around. They also had Lucas. Gross, Holmes, and Twarzdik.

What about when Portland blew their 15 point lead on the Lakers and lost the series. Didn't Portland have tons of trade talks after that. Those supposed fans aren't real fans they back out the moment the teams doing poorly but are back in it when the team is doing good.
Portland might make the first round then get knocked out. They have to contend with Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Suns, Denver, Utah, Lakers, Hornets. Yeah and all these teams have way more exp then them.

First I would like to say that I have been to at least one Blazer game every year, during the real bad years when the Rose Garden was half empty, so I know I am entitled to be excited about this year. Denver is not going to be good this year. Dallas is falling off. So that leaves the Spurs, Utah, LA, and the Suns (although they are getting old too.)

LA has the best of both worlds youth and experience. Hornets are going to be good, as well as Denver. You can never discount San Antonio, Houston, or Dallas. Utah is also the bigger team physically. Portland is going to have to fight like hell to even get close to a playoff position.

They did have him starting, but for some reason he struggled. Then they put him on bench and he flourished. It reminds me of cliff robinson back in the day. Travis can easily be the sixth man of the year...he is an incredible spark of the bench...I think he is perfect right where he is.

1.) Aldridge is a PF, while Outlaw is a SF/SMALL power forward. Outlaw can play it when he can take advantage of a slower PF on the other team...not against all the starting PF's of the league.
2.) Aldridge is better. He helped carry this team offensively, and he improved his post play, rebounding, and defense DRAMATICALLY in his 2nd year. Sky is the limit.
3.) Aldridge will likely be the starting PF on the Blazers for the next decade or so...he's KIND OF a big deal... (Anchorman reference...)

Bynum is barely proven at all. You Laker fans pronounce him the saviour of your team when he only played 40 or 50 decent games. Gasol is weak, Fisher vanished in the Finals and your bench is not very talented and they are inconsistent. Lakers beat the C's (barely on two occasions) but the Blazers never lost by 39 POINTS! in the most important game of the season. Blazers are more talented on paper by far this next year. If you can beat us on a regular basis then you can talk.

What about when they blew a 15 point lead to the Lakers that could have knocked them out? They had Sabonis, Wallace, Stoudamire, and others and they LOST a 15 point lead and then LOST by 10.

We couldn't play in LA because of the riots...Yeah I remember Clyde Drexler laying the smacketh down on Vlade Divac in a sweep of that series. Also me living in Utah for a few years I seem to remember the Mailman and Stockton sweeping the Lakers TWO years in a row with Kobe and Shaq on that team. You can't go wrong with the richest and best owner in all of sports. Maybe you should move to LA since you are so in love with them. You are right the Blazers did not sweep the Lakers but it seemed like it. The bottom line is the Blazers will have the better team next season. Lakers lack on Defense and rebounding. Even with Bynum the lakers would not have been able to make up the 20 rebound edge the C's had in game 6. Again the weakest front line belongs to the Lakers. There isn't much more to debate on this. The Blazers will prove it next season.

Overall though, the C's have dominated the Lakers in every aspect. I am going to agree to disagree. I just HATE everything about LA including the city.
