  • wow I like movie theatres over there

  • Kogi! :)

  • like if u liked the first two comments saying it's 2011.... but then u realized its 2012.. XD

  • like if you're still watching this in 2012 :)

  • I don't like the reserve seat thing very much. Me and my friends are "theater hoppers" so maybe that's why. XD Thankfully theaters here don't use it except for special events.

  • The piggy is so cute!!

  • I COME FROM THE FUTURE AND THE SYSTEM IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE IN MOST PLACES IN THE WORLD, WORLD 0 - KOREA 12938284938

  • like if you now watching in 2012

  • I really like the idea of reserving your seats when you buy your tickets. It really is a great system. It also helps deter "theater hopping" because when you go to a movie that you didn't pay for, you might get booted out by the people who bought the seat fair and square.

  • Pig. :3

  • Watchin' in 2012.

    I'M SO FUCKING FUTURE.

  • It's 2012 and i'm still watching these :) Anyone else doin the same???

  • hehe we asians have to reserve seats, we're pretty sneaky lol. i miss not having to have seat no.s in america.

  • Man I wish you could reserve your seat in Canada, but people would probably steal your seat anyway.

  • Like this if you're watching this in 2012.

  • OMMGee, watching this makes me ask America why are we sooooooo behind the times? This is an awesome concept...OH I have to see the rest of the world up close and personal. Guys get your college degree and do some teaching and see the world(maybe im projecting my desires on ya'll...my bad - yeah im ready to move like ASAP)

  • In referal to the top comment: Actually I am watching this in 2012 :3

  • 2012!!!!!!!!!!!! happy NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

  • like a korean argos movie theatre

  • lol i work at a movie theatre and i feel like if we had this in a weird way it would be less anoying but i def see more arguing nd stuff lol

  • CUTE PIGGIE

  • @brokkenmask No. Idea. I was like 6 though so i really enjoyed it!

  • Like if you're still watching this at 2011 :P

  • @gelOoish Hah, Im watching it in 2012. :)

  • you guys are so cute together ><, sry I know it's random, but I just had to say it.

  • A local theater chain here in Utah has the same seat reservation system... so it's not just foreign countries, there are smart companies here doing the same thing. The other major theater here is Cinemark, & I'm pretty sure the local guys are winning for market share right now. :) They let you pick your seats on a touch screen at the theater, or you can do the same thing from home on their website, or a mobile app. (search: Megaplex Theatres)

  • lol, 0:40 i sense sarcasim.

  • Piggie!

  • I was at a Korean movie theater, and at the beginning of the movie, a person in a costume came out and started dancing! Korea can be o strange!

  • @mrsbieber4250 lol what was he dancing for? promotion for something?

  • What movie did you watch?

  • yay! piggie! it's Kogi!!

  • .. I love how I'm watching videos from 2008 in 2011.. :D :D

  • The seat reserving thing is brilliant...

  • yea you can pick a seat here too, in UAE. But you don't have to get a ticket to wait for your turn at the ticket counter..

  • waah! you guys are awesome! i've been wanting to go to korea someday, and im afraid im gonna be clueless when i get there,, your vids are an awesome sneek peek of what im going to see and experience.. thanks a loooot! :D

  • Is that the same pig from the newer videos?! What was its name?

  • is it as expensive as i n.america?

  • here (in finland) you can also pick the seats beforehand at the counter, but you can also just simply buy or reserve the seats at home on the internet.

  • i love the ending

    ~Shows the GIANT aegyo pig~

S:What does this have to do with the movie?

M:He's so sweet *pat on head*

    S:No it isn't -_-

    hahahhahahhah

  • hey thats a pretty brilliant idea!

  • They had this in malaysia also. I loved the organized concept

  • I love the girl's pronunciation !!! I understand her very well, more than my English teacher

  • Holy crap so organized O.O I wonder if it's like this all over Korea or if it's just your city...

  • woooooooooow.........THEY ARE SO MUCH MORE ORGANIZED AND SMARTER THEN HERE IN AMERICA!!!!!!

  • ...... people do that at meat stores in russia

  • i like the pig. :)

  • aw... the pig is sooo cute!

  • I love Korean movie theaters!

  • that's odd... when i went to korea, the seats were automatically chosen for u.

  • haha...simon is soooo cute^_^

  • I agree that there are many things that we took from Japan, but I can't agree with the statement 'a joke of Japan' cuz there are also things that Japan don't have, and, I want to tell you this. American made cars for the 1st time, so is every car made in other country is just a joke of America? If you still want to insist that Korea is just a copy of Japan, again I want to tell you this, as hawaiikai2 said, we koreans transferred our culture to Japan since 7th century.

  • You should've shown inside of the theater for a little bit! It's huge in there.

  • Korea rocks japan sucks

  • you can also reserve online days before for even better seats. if you know korean.

  • have you ever lived in Japan?

all of korea things you introduce in your video are just copies of japanese things

present korean society is just a joke of japan

  • @hawaiikai2 you ignorant fool. if you are going to state that korean society is just a joke of japan. guess what? most of japanese culture has transferred from korea from the baekjae dynasty. japan is japan. korea is korea. don't start with the whole "copy" shit.

  • @jun08548 no you ARE ignorant fool all of koreans are fool anyway

whole korea is bad copy of japan

  • @hawaiikai2 Nice comeback. Get at me when you learn how to speak English and say things other than "whole Korea is bad copy of Japan.

  • @hawaiikai2 perversion=JAPAN... so many culture steal or copied (other country ) so many Asia people multiple murder and sexual assault

  • We get to designated seats in Australia as well First come first served, just like that.

  • Italians do that too... the real problem is that they have a break in the middle of the movie. I know it's not suppose to be a problem because you can go to the toilet without missing the movie but if you are in the crucial part of the movie is so annoying =/ Since in my country they don't do that i'm not used to it...

  • I don't get it ? can someone explain ?

  • we so need that in New Zealand. Sometimes you have to wait 30 minutes in line for a ticket, so annoying..

  • LOL u aint beatin noone up

  • comercials really jajaja waste of time

  • @dodgesxt

I lived in Korea, so I went throught this

When you arrive at the theatre you take a stub from the machine that gives you a number - this number is what number you are in the the line. When the screen shows your number, you're up!

When you get your actual movie ticket, it has the row and seat number on it - the seats in the theatre are numbered, so your seat is assigned and nobody will take your seat. If they do, you just show them your ticket and they'll move.

    I hope this helps!

  • all that work to see a movie lol

  • @theshatnerman4242

I thought that at first, too, but it actually makes it more convenient. You pick your seats when you buy your tickets, so you don't have to scramble in the theatre to try to get a good seat.

  • you see both

  • I'm so jealous watching all these vids... i'd like to teach in English in Korea but i'm guessing i'd have to finish my degree from UofM (Michigan) first, I failed two classes in my last semester but chose to follow a great sales job at the time and have to retake those classes :-/ Seeing you have a puppy of your own, do you know much about taking pets to and from Korea? I've read it's not that difficult..? I have two cats that I couldn't imagine leaving here...

  • I wish theatres here in Canada ran like that...

  • cOOL :D even my country's kinda hi-tech, but doesn't have like these D:

  • lol did simon just hesitate when saying "no" to beating someone up?

  • I dislike reserved movie theater seats!! Their popcorn and soda sizes are too small!

  • Korean's awesone~!! I love Korean

  • Wow, that is a good system. It makes sense. :)

Gaah! I love your pig! He's so cute! ^o^

  • Wow, that is a good system. It makes sense. :)

Gaah! I love your pig! He's so cute! ^o^

  • that was cool i like your videos and the pig lol

  • wooow rly? hahaha- its been So long i've been to Korea =) things sure changed a lot

im going back to Korea this summer

this vid saved me from being a retard @ movie theatres then AHAHAHA

  • Wow, that's pretty cool. And the pig is cute lol.

  • Korea is so smart and brilliant (:

  • do they show american movies in korea?

  • yeah.

  • Yes.

  • @lvll138inrs yeah

  • Hey aqatsukista.

    Stupid Japs

    U BAKKA??

    idiot JAPS.

  • Imbecile, they're not Japs.

  • They're not Japanese. They are Koreans. By the way, "Japs" is a racial slur.

  • @JazzyZenBrotha ikr? one time someone in one of my classes called japanese people "japs" and me and my friend got mad at him

  • "and having one of these numbers saves you from beating someone up!" "which we haven't done!" "uh yes!" "and we wouldn't do?" "nuh-no...*shakes head*"

XDD i love you guys! i love your korean videos because now i'm prepared for when i live in korea someday!!

  • Simon has such funny expressions :)

  • omggg i loovee that pig!! :) if i ever go to korea (which i hope) that will be the first thing that i would buy :) it looks like the one that leeteuk has on one of his picutres, i love him too :D

  • (antique was awesome whee)

It's not quite like that in daegu (aside from the assigned seats on yuor ticket)

and they don't open the physical theatre until like ten minutes before the trailers

and there's usually only like 2 trailers.

  • That pig plushie is really adorable :)

  • hahahaha "saves u from beating sombody up?"

    is it THAT scary? lmao

  • Do you see american movies, or korean movies?

And completely unrelated but... what does korea smell like in comparison to canada?

  • Both. We see american movies (with Korean subtitles!) and Korean movies (without subtitles) or we rent Korean movies and watch with subtitles. Some theaters offer english subtitles for older Korean movies.

I can't answer the smell question because it depends on where you live in Korea or Canada. City or rural area? But seriously, great question...LOL!!!

  • Almost all of my DVD's are korea. I live in Calgary so... it's pretty big.

  • @iSplode Some area's smell like garbage and other smell like pleasant refreshing breezy air that just makes you smile!

  • @iSplode it smells like a beautifull forest with a nasty restaurant in the middle.

  • @iSplode Korea smells like Kimchi!

  • that pig is sooooo cute ^o^

  • Awesome! I'm hoping to go to Korea this summer to watch a movie coming out :p

  • LOL!

  • nice piggy!

    @_@

  • Did u guys saw "antique"???

  • Not yet, but we want to. We're waiting for English Subtitles. Our Korean's a bit weak.

  • I see, darn to bad i do 't live in Korea :( I wanna see that w/ sub or w/o sub...rofl

  • or "소년, 소년을 마난다" ?

  • srry I ment "Mannada" -_-

  • Ahh, I don't remember if that came out. :P Anyways, we always rent Korean movies (the old fashion way) and I'll just have to wait for Antique and other movies to hit the shelf with subs. yeaaaaaa MOVIE RENTALS!

  • I see Thanks for telling me^^

  • We finally saw Antique! It was aweeesome. It was pretty close to the manga/anime but they skipped some of the minor details at the beginning.

  • I want to go to korea..

  • We should be using that system here in Canada for a lot of things, particularly as civility seems to be increasingly on the decline everywhere. I'm a bit surprised to learn about the Koreans budding in to lines. I thought were supposed to be a polite people. Hmm. :)

  • Super delayed response:

What's strange is, they don't actually bud like North Americans. The problem for us is everyone stands really close together, but it feels weird to be that close to someone, so if we leave more than a foot of space they think we're just not in line. So we're trying to discard our "personal bubble".

  • This response felt a bit more like a time warp! LOL. More than a foot means you're not in line?! LOL. OMG! Hilarious! In submarines they say, "up bubble" or "down bubble." Sounds like with you folks it's gonna be "no bubble." LOL. There is a comedy skit in there somewhere ( not sure where though). Very interesting cultural stuff though. Thanks for sharing it as always. :)

  • they are. they did this so that you don't have to stand in a line to buy the ticket. normally they have seats there, so you can just sit and wait for your turn or go and do something else while waiting.

  • um... people to people politeness and discipline is surely the priority, but among many groups of people individualism is more apparent, different than japan where you keep distance between yourself and everyone, even people close to you. In groups Korean people tend to care more about their own groups and stuff. but mostly they're polite people :)

  • Thank you for that insight. Having not traveled to Korea or Japan, my only exposure is what I see here and on TV. Cultural differences are always very interesting. From you are saying, it sounds like Koreans are very polite. :)

  • "Nooo, we wouldn't" Funny^_^

  • lol~~ "which we haven't done!" haha u guys are awesome

  • These videos are cool. They are really interesting if you live in the United States and if you want to visit korea. Nice Pig at the end. lol
