  • If corporations are psycho than why are we surprised when Republicans who represent them are psycho too?

  • When psychopathic corporations control governments, as they do, then very bad outcomes can be expected. Here is the USA, there is a rapid movement to a police state, complete government domination of all aspects of the lives of its citizens. We must support OWS as a movement and not allow its suppression. Leaders, like Ron Paul/Jesse Ventura/Dennis Kucinich, must be supported as they will be targeted by psyops to completely isolate and destroy their reputations. Be vigilant and discerning!

  • i had that view well before this.

  • How can we stop buying from this corporations when almost all of the products and services we buy are being run by corporations...

  • @charredpalace

a good star is if people stop demanding $20 clothing, use green energy where they can, buy from farmers markets and try to pay for things by cash.

  • I believe capitalism is the best catalyst for a good life. Just as guns are one of the best methods of killing someone.

However, you would not give a gun to someone who didn't know how to handle it responsibly and that's exactly what has happened in America today.

We as a society have outpaced our intelligence with technology and greed. This is made possible by capitalism though it is not the fault of the machine, but of ourselves.

  • the incidence of psychopathy among CEOs is four times what it is in the population at large. Psychopathic traits may be advantageous in some situations

  • We must stop complying with and giving our heard earned money to the Psychopathic World Leaders. Stop buying from corporations. Stop paying taxes, stop buying insurance, stop using too big to fail banks, unplug your television.

Strengthen your communities, shop locally, get to know your neighbors better and educate your children about the truth. Don't let the system control their minds anymore. Stop eating and drinking the toxins. Demand that Chemtrail Spraying stop! Love your Family.

  • @LoveVanillaRose idk that sounds like to much work for my patriot ass (coming from a typical american) lol

  • @drogden, I think what they mean is one person or a small group of people who own the corporation allow this carry on and are aware of the possible damages so in essence you can relate the corporation to a singular entity

  • @cfclover86 "you can relate the corporation to a singular entity" No you can't "corporation" is a conceptual aggregate in legal terms. The "Corporation" does not exist, and cannot be a person that actually exist nor can it be considered an "entity". (Entity is defined as something that exists) If it can then anything goes. E.g. This forest is a beluga whale. <~~~That is just as valid and if i had a billion dollars i bet i can get the courts to agree.

  • It is humorous that this film entertains the idea that a corporation is an actual person. In reality it is obviously not. Just as a forest is not a tree. I'm surprised they don't make that distinction is this film. It amazes me how retarded supposedly educated intelligent people can be.

  • @drogden did you not see the earlier parts? they work up to explaining on how that came to be.. now they're being tongue-in-cheek about it, examining a corporation as if it were a person to show how destructive it is

  • @drogden Even more retarded to not e able to draw and see the comaprisons .... erm, comparisons lol !

  • @drogden Corporations are given the rights that humans are given. That's a fact even though they aren't.

  • We need to put an end to corporate domination without making government reach into our lives, and without ending economic freedom and true capitalism.

  • Corporations aren't people though.

Their behavior emerges from the actions of groups of people, and judging them in human individual terms doesn't make sense.

It's like judging a thunder storm, or some other naturally occurring pattern.

Of course corporations will take the path of least resistance and most gain.

So will an animal, that doesn't make it a "psychopath".

    This is just hyperbole.

  • @unqueued All you pulled from this was their comparison of corporation to a psychopath?? You just made a comparison of a corporation to a "animal" ...... and that isn't hyperbole?? I think you are missing the real message behind this.

  • @unqueued The suggestion is if corporations are individuals as applied for and then granted under law, some of them would meet the diagnosis check list for psychopathy. And so this indicates the law needs reviewing. Its a simple point, theres no need to resort to redundant poetry.

  • New World Order - facism - coming to a theater near you. I have a youngster and fear for his future.

  • sick thing is the NHS in england is a corporation =0

  • 47 seconds for one part? WTF?

  • So corporations pollute or the people who buy their products because Britney Spears and Justin Bieber promote it, pollute it when they tatlly like someone else. How many of you hippies drink bottled water cause its trendy, when you could drink tap. How many buy floresent lightbulbs cuz they last longer though they are filled with mercury. People are no different than corps they will speed if not caught, though speeding could kill someone, speed limits are based on stopping conditions. Hypocrits.

  • every one just keep spreading the message.

most people are completley unknowing of globalizations effects...

  • if the corporations want to be treated as people, they should have to abide by laws and regulations like all of us. After all, if everyone is equal, shouldn't they be too?

  • how do you fight a problem thats been grown into peoples minds over the past 150 years? People expect this out of corporations and its up to us to 'deal' with it. I really don't know how people would be able to stop this unless there was an absolute revolution. but it would have to be global. You if you know what this revolution would include its scary.

  • @snowier5 You don't it is impossible to deal with, the only thing you can do is inform the public and limit its expansion, and promote environmental responsibility, not that hippie new age organic crap, real social reform that really works.

  • Why are the ads so fucking loud? So ironically, ironically loud? I have to use headphones when I watch this thing because the producer's ads at the end, or the ads youtube occasionally tacks on, are twice as loud as the fucking docu.

  • I want to learn more about corporations. I learned a bit at the beginning of the film, and afterward the focus was entirely on how many different ways in which the entities are evil. We all know this. No shit. Duh. DUH!

Documentaries are learning tools, and I think this film is about done for me.

  • The pyschopathy thing was brilliantly set up! I was wondering why the checklist was being presented the way it was, then it was spelled out in black and white.

  • @randman21 did u not seen the beginning and how the law says a corporation is legally a person.

  • @ronoc9 I did! But I didn't recognize that those items on the checklist were symptoms of psychopathy.

  • @randman21 it said at the top of all the list "personality diagnosic checklist"

  • GO LINK T.V.!!! (Thank you so much for uploading!)

  • the root of the problem is the nature of what we now call 'money'. Unfortunately, this is obvious to only a small fraction of the people. I think perhaps the best book on this subject may be "The end of money and the future of civilization". Tom Greco nits the nail on the head, and if you watched this film and read his book, you can see how the monetary system has allowed this kind of monstrosity to exist. You can also see how much better it would be if we could achieve the book's solutions.

  • the one about milk production, where they inject cows with this chemical that increases milk in the udders, but then the side effect is that the cows get infected and the pus from the infection mixes with the milk, that part, made me swear i will never drink milk again.

  • that would describe most of america (including me) we breed people to be selfish and uncaring. the family life is destroyed and we are nothing but a number to our government that we have lost control of.

  • Oil is a natural resource which does not and cannot belong to a private concern or person. And yet the giant oil corporations have claimed that they and only they have rights to oil anywhere in the world. This must stop immediately. It's already too late. But perhaps we can save other natural resources such as water. Once again the multinational corporations are buying up or claiming all the potable water in the world. This too, must stop. The day of the sociopathic corporation is over.

  • @BillSalem The world's increasingly rare and precious water resources are already being privatized and put under corporate control... I'm waiting for the day they'll claim our air too :S

  • Psychopath=sociopath="antisocial peraonality disorder" The terms have changed over the years, but any of them still describe corporations to a tee.

  • This is a very sad documentary. I think the biggest problem is that now that the wheels are in motion it seems almost impossible to stop it. We have become so dependent on everything like plastic, electronics, machines etc the only way to stop this is to go back to a VERY simple way of life which i guarantee will not happen. The truth hurts.

  • You all should see the video "Psychiatry an industry of death"

  • if a corp does something that would land a person in jail.they should lose the charter

  • I am strongly pro-capitalist. My parents are entrepreneurs and own two small businesses. My goal is to continue that tradition and own my own business someday. However, I am strongly against "Corporate Personhood" because it is being used to destroy the free market and undermine democracy.

Corporations are using campaign donations and lobbying to gain unfair advantages. They are becoming state-sponsored monopolies! We need a Constitutional Amendment to put an end to this madness.

  • The US Constitution from its very inception was a legal abrogation of wealths extreme concentration in the hands of the real minority:the economic.

Indeed, our Federal government receives it very justification for existing in being an agent of security for those most historically vulnerable to mass insurrection:the top 1% of the population;the class of property owners.

    Consequentially,an 'amendment' won't do anything.

The nation needs nothing short of a Constitutional Convention.

  • @wbaltzley I think small businesses will cease to exist pretty soon. It will all be chains of big companies. Hell most of what you need is already in Walmart. I don't see any small businesses existing in the next 50 years outside of the odd niche store.

  • @wbaltzley hmmmm...idk all things become big in the future...and u may not be in charge to regulate it when it happens.....so how will you do it in the future????

  • @wbaltzley Pretty much their are two types of Capitalism. Capitalism that although largely for gain and success, still caters well to the people. The other capitalism is the most common which has sold it's soul to the bottom lime.

I think the distribution of capital in large corporations should be spread so that the top dogs aren't worth millions of times more than they should be, and the bottom end isn't worth so much less than they are worth.

  • @wbaltzley Not if the corporations which run out daily lives can help it. Face it, you to are controlled by the corporation, you can't live without it. The computer your using to view this comment was manufactured by a corporation. This website is owned by Google a powerful corporation. The shirt on your back was probably manufactured by a Filipino women for 3 cents and you purchased it in some sort of store which is probably a part of a corporation. We can't live without them, we have failed.

  • @wbaltzley as long as there is an incentive for proffit and proffit only it will happen again and again

  • @wbaltzley very well said, one of the more intelligent comments ive read on youtube

  • @wbaltzley Chances are that if you or your parents own businesses then you are abusing other people who work below you. Perhaps not as much as large corporations but it is impossible to deny it none the less. I highly doubt you work along side other workers and make as much as them. I agree with everything else you said though.

  • my teacher has been showing this film in class for the last 3 days. I feel like she has indoctrinated my senior high school class by ultimately showing them that coporations are the biggest flaw in society, of course their flaw and of course this film shows it but I feel like the students in my class are getting one side of a story.

  • There are two sides; the corporate side (monetary gain), and the side represented by the film. In documenting the problems of corporations inherent to the very structure of what a corporation is, this film is not designed to demean corporations (it's made by a corporation, afterall), it's designed to assault the framework of the global corporation as a profit-generating mechanation, and only that.

  • If the corporations were people, they would be arrested and jailed long ago, they would be classified as sociopaths and psychopaths, as pointed out in the documentary movie "The Corporation".

  • we should be critical of our own nations in particular. it is not our government and businesses that define us. pleease don't get caught in the trap of saying 'if you dont like it you can leave'. thats a cowards way out.

  • AMERICAN REPUBLICAN FASCISM: Nationalism without merit - Constant desire for "rebirth" Military Worship Worship of the ultra rich Corporation & State collaboration - avoiding labour rights Social Darwinism - "Bad things happen to bad people" Inequality is good & necessary Fraudulent Elections Imperialism - Culturally & Militarly Minimal social policies Corporate media manipulation Anti-intellectual Anti-multiculturalism Anti-homosexuality Anti-labor unions Anti-social democracy
  • @junkyassmonkey

you don't have to live here....

  • I love that argument... shhhhh dont speak out against the 'good ole USA' just move out.

  • that's called giving up lol.

    .kandrea..

  • Because if you want something to get better, that means you're UNPATRIOTIC.

  • @junkyassmonkey shut up

  • greatest video on youtube has 84k views

  • well economics literally means "house management " i think managing the economy with earth friendly products is better

  • I agree that economics should be taught in schools, however, I did not know that public schools were showing this film and a quick google shows nothing to suggest that. Can you give me a url showing that schools are indeed, showing this film in classes?

  • Well, if you youtube "The Corporation-A critique" they show it being shown in class, and I believe their were a couple comments here or on another part where people talked about seeing it at there school.

  • stfu

  • it's great they show this in schools! This is real economics whitesox. And it's economics that goes beyond the normal mechanistic mumbo jumbo. I think the arguments substantiate themselves rather well really.

  • So you're saying nothing that has been shown in this film so far is supported?

    None of it?

    .kandrea..

  • Yes, because they didn't prove their points and a corporation isn't a person, it is only legally defined as one because it is easier that way.

  • What's MSM ? I'm a little bit confused

  • American conservatives and libertarians sometimes refer to the liberal media as the main stream media, or just MSM for short.

  • I remeber watching this in grade it and before i watched the psychopath part I yelled there a bunch of pyschos! and my history teacher said exactly and that came up

  • I was hoping not to waste my time reading one of your posts again, however I ran into this one without reading the name attached. For once you said something that is worthy of being noticed. You are right there is a definite difference between commerce and corporation.

I'm however please to see that there is no blithering MANLY MIND statements attached. LOL

  • Trollin'

  • You should talk, you probably follopw CNN, ABC, CBS to get your news....if you don't wanna see all the truth wellso be it....my american fiend

  • You amuse, 37rod37. Reading mere words whipped you into action to get my focus.

Why do you project and tell us you get your news from MSM?

  • @TruthAxe you're so republican...

  • @CobainFrusciante Republicans are Collectivists, same as Democrats.

    I am not a Collectivist.

You do the rest of the syllogism.

  • You amuse, TruthAxe, acting like a Republican.

  • "Republicans are Collectivists, same as Democrats."

Exactly. They are both flip sides of the same coin.

  • did you just say....that canadian males are effeminate?

    wow.

    .kandrea..

  • I did not "just say". I wrote it and awhile ago.

  • lol dont be a dick.

my point is you said that majority of canadian males are effeminate.

i personally think that' is fucked up.

    xoxo

    .kandrea..

  • "Only a dick takes steals time from himself or herself to write to someone else 'don't be a dick'."

true, unles the person in question is being a dick such as yourself.

you stole minutes from my life by not just answering my question thus being a dick lol.

and there's no way you can make a comment like that about canadian men, unless you know all canadian men.

    thumbs down.

    .kandrea..

  • @turnstoGOLD You amuse.

Perhaps, you're merely looking for dick.

  • thank you for once again saying nothing that had anything to do with my comment.

    and nothing of substance.

    .kandrea..

  • You are the brightest comment on the block, marianna2012! You are absolutely right, and its YOUR generation that will be affected by all this the most. People do not realize the power they hold. If u want the corporates to sit up and take notice, stop buying their products, then they will change, cuz they are not going to shutdown, they will conform or else.

  • well if mom and pop stores are polluting the enviroment like these big rich monsters who purposely hide the proof of their acts against our environment/loved ones etc...then yes, u need to stop them.

No businesses big or small have the right to destroy others for profit. How much are your children/grandchildren worth to you? Do you want them drinking pus from dairy cows infected w/ a hormone causing it? Would u knowingly drink it? How much more do we not know? This is just what the know now.

  • I agree, no business large or small should be able to destroy the environment. That unfortunately isn't the argument being made in this video. They are using hasty generalizations to make the point that non-human entities don't have human feelings. No shit, really?

  • What a bunch of crap. A tree could be proven psychopathic if you really work at it. A corporation is many more things than what is over-simplified here. I work for a corporation of 12 people. Does that make us psycho? 99% of the "corporations" in the world are small mom and pop businesses. You start making laws for the big evil scary corporations, you better be ready for the same laws to come down on everyone.

  • Short but Sweet

  • Short but even sweeter

    utube beatleha + birth certificate

  • ...no...

  • This part of the movie scared me s***less...

  • u'll feel much better when u watch th videos below

    utube beatleha + birth certificate

once u understand how UCC is applied to you person(a merchant corporation as well)

u will understand that companies are presenting u the remedy that u need to fulfil when u create a liability for them

  • I'm 19 years old. I can't believe how much this impacts me. It almost made me cry. We have to do something. Our planet is giving all those corporates what they need for them to become wealthy and all they are giving to our planet is pollution and contamination, deaths of our animals, our people! WE HAVE TO WAK UP!!!!!!

  • im afraid its kinda too late for that now; what we need now is an intervention be it holy or e.t. thats just wishful thinking on my part; all i can do is wait for death to come, i hope to escape all this trash through death but then again, death might not even grant me that; this hell after all...hence the cycle continues...

  • Don't listen to people who say there is no hope or it is too late. Rome, Spain, Portugal, and England were all once Empires that people of their times presumed could never fall. The Roman Catholic Church once controlled the lives of everyone in the West. But those things collapsed under their own weight, and corporations will too. Don't give up. Be the change you want to see in the world. Find people like you, and strategize on how you can make even one small difference.

  • utube : mr beatleha + birth certificate

solutions are already in place ...

..but it should be worked in tandem with the majority of the people proclaiming that the birth certificate is evidence of a fraudulent contract ..set up when u were born and therefore incappable of understanding the terms of the agreement

  • WAK UP OR WAKE UP???

  • Ever heard of the Technocracy Technate alternative? Try to investigate this on youtube or google. =)

  • You're 19 years old. No offense, but live for a while and then come back and re-examine your thinking. This is pure propaganda by socialists who would rather we all work for the government so they can control us.

  • medicare, social security, state-sponsored unemployment, public schools, public transportation, fire and police departments can all be defined as socialist programs.

lets rid ourselves of these evil commie institutions and go back to a purely market economy. we can float our old and infirm out to sea on ice rafts and rally volunteer posses to enforce the law. watch out, that listerine might be snake oil, and your fillings, pure mercury.

however old you are, name calling sounds childish.

  • These are strawman arguments but I'll take shots at them anyway. YES - medicare, socialist security and the FEDERAL funding of local public schools are all socialist and not within the original intent of the Constitution. Get rid of them all. BTW all of them are bankrupt or very close to it. Police and fire are locally managed and funded by the same people they serve. There are no nationalized fire departments yet. You offer typical liberal spew full of slippery slopes and false dilemmas.

  • aha! well at least now you define your 'socialism'... if you'll read my post again you'll see the key words 'can' and 'define' ...your def might more aptly be dubbed 'federalism'.. and if indeed that is what you rail against then we agree on more than you think. far from 'liberal spew', i was taking specific issue with your careless use of the term 'socialism' that detracts from real debate. and alas, you fail once again to resist the urge for name calling. my interest is the good of the debate.

  • What name calling? Is "socialist" considered name calling nowadays?

  • Did you ever consider maybe the police or the library or any of the other services that have kept you alive as long as you have might be GOOD?

  • @mariana2012 well miss mariana your a corporation too and so im i look at your drivers linece passport any document its written in all capital letters like a corporation. File bankrupty the same way. You are a person in court and a person means a corporation. Your a corporation. only corporations have income and you labor is taxable because its a buiness.

  • @mariana2012 join the underground- with love, Rutgers University

  • @mariana2012 you're are the young generation, the younger generation is the one which is going to need to be taught that what is happening is awful and the ENTIRE WAY OF LIFE needs to be drastically altered in order for their to be any difference

  • @mariana2012

I 'wak' up daily. 'waking' or 'wacking' in general is good for maintaining an easy disposition.

  • @mariana2012 we will never wake up, as long as the environment is not a profitable commodity then the corporations will continue to degrade the environment and what they have deemed inferior peoples until they are no longer exploitable. As long as white people get their two story houses in the suburbs with a white picket fence, a car, cable or satellite TV with 5000 channels, high-speed internet, and all the latest and greatest electronic gadgets from Apple then we will never wake up.

  • @mariana2012 youre 19? sorry man....youre pretty much doomed. my generation pretty much wrecked yours. fact is you wont live as long as your parents. thats a REAL statistic. thats mostly because of the influence of corporations on the FOOD you eat.

  • @bradford71us The corporations do not force feed. You put it in your mouth, they just fulfill a demand. If people didn't want this food, these fast food corporations wouldn't exist. Put the blame in the right place.

  • @Trimbler00 THEY create the demand. the economics, imposed by them, are the controlling factor. youve got it backwards....people wouldnt want this food if they had another choice. in both senses they DO force feed. do you ever eat anything you know is bad for you?? why??

  • @bradford71us They do have another choice. Stores do sell fruits and vegetables, you know. I occasionally eat food I know is bad for me because I exercise and I can work it off. It's my choice to eat the food. I wasn't coerced.

  • @Trimbler00 the fruits and vegetables from the 'stores' are owned by 3 multinational corporations and are generally NOT healthy. so, yeah...you have a choice...between 3 corporations. you cant "work off" cancer or genetic deformities caused by vegetables and fruits that is genetically modified by corporations. so how were you not 'coerced'??

  • @bradford71us You can get food that isn't genetically modified or without certain chemical preservatives, etc-- the type of things I'm assuming you think lead to cancer. It just costs more because non-GMOs make for a less productive harvest and no preservatives make transportation difficult.

  • @Trimbler00 youre barking up the wrong tree. non-GM food is VERY difficult to get, in america. yes, they do lead to cancer: FACT in many cases. it does NOT cost more to produce organic food and it IS a more productive harvest. youre also very wrong about preservatives. how long does it take you to drive from new york to california? name a food that would ruin before then if kept cool?? im sorry but youre talking to a national expert on GM food.....in more ways than one.

  • @bradford71us Not all food is produced domestically, so citing the distance from two points in the United States is invalid when we're talking about international agrobusiness. Also, when you add in stops to all the distribution centers in the shipping process, even domestically, you're looking at a longer time than you would think. I would like you to tell me why companies would use preservatives if they didn't have a purpose in the shipping process.

  • @Trimbler00 preservatives are used because of lobbying power of chemical companies, also for liability reasons. national distribution isnt a necessity AND we are talking about a psychopathic legal individual. that chemicals are harmful to human beings is beyond doubt. its acceptable fact. much of what we eat is banned in most of the world by NATIONAL health organizations. since 1997 almost everything you eat is GM, leading to a mass increase in diabetes, allergies, even deformities.

  • @bradford71us So you're saying that the reason that preservatives are in food is because they are mandatory per government standards due to the lobbying of chemical companies?

  • @Trimbler00 yep. you got it. rather....not as much mandatory as that they use them to just make money. watch this entire documentary.....

  • @bradford71us As a libertarian, I would take away whatever legislation mandates/encourages companies to use preservatives. We need to dismantle the government's intervention in commerce. Agreed?

  • @Trimbler00 i completely agree. in fact, i agree so much that this is EXACTLY what i do for a living!! i do not deal with government. all my commerce is off grid and i encourage off grid commerce, in specific markets. you see, im an expert on GM food as im a farmer/scientist. specialization: organics. im at the head of my field market. GM food IS bad for you. thats a fact.

  • Respond to this video... yep. they make money that way. simple explanation.

  • @bradford71us Genetically modified food actually is healthier than typical food.

Genetically enhanced food often contains more vitamins than you'd get naturally, as well as the added bonus of decreased risk of infection due to embedded preservatives.

I strongly encourage you to check out yestogm.com, and learn more about what's on your dinner plate!

  • @unqueued hahaha...youre crazy to think that. its nt healthier and there is FAR more proof against your ridiculous claim. i suppose youre gonna say no jews died in ww2 next?? so...lets see...youre claiming that 'more vitamins than i can get naturally' is a good thing??? you should learn about nature. thats not how it works. more vitamins are BAD, not good. decreased infection? are you nuts? how about increased allergies? increased resistance to antibiotics?? who the hell are you??

  • @bradford71us genetically enhanced food certainly doesn't cause the problems you mentioned.

Food that has been enhanced has actually been cultivated for thousands of years, through selective breeding.

Did you know that the corn you eat today didn't exist in the wild, ever? That it was selectively bred into existence?

    Or how about bananas?

In conclusion, genetically enhanced food is perfectly safe and harmless.

It does NOT cause diabetes, or any of the illnesses you mentioned.

  • @AnonymousElektron youre crazy, excuse me dude...youre talking to a very old corn farmer.....the original corn is called teocinthe....and you have no clue what youre talking about. corn was NOT selectively bred. its a mutant version of teocinthe. pure facts refute what you claim easily for GM food, which is WHY its banned in most of the world besides here.....DUH.

  • @bradford71us

Yep, they (the Psychopaths) get you indebted early in life so you'll spend your life slaving away to try to keep afloat, but when you get old enough that you may not be as productive for them, and when you may want to retire and enjoy life, they now want you to die, because they want to get at that pension money you've sacrificed for all your life.

Paste these in YT search bar:

Don't forget, your productivity IS their wealth.

  • @bradford71us Terrifyingly true. I'm 21. It's gonna be interesting to see how all this turns out.

  • @mariana2012 You're obviously not used to political material and you're acting neurotic a la Glenn Beck. You need to do some serious research before you start to make these apocalyptic remarks. You're running off emotion, my friend.

  • Items #2 & #3 seem to be checked off incorrectly.

"Reckless Disregard for the Safety of Others" particularly seems not only uncharacteristic of corporate interest, but classifiably bad business. The Safety of Others is best interest of the corporation due to the possibility of expensive litigation which results from lapses in safety policy. Also, potential damage to a corporation's public image is another factor.

I'm behind you on sentiment, but this adaptation seems especially cynical.

  • No it's not fly to India and see it for yourself..

JUST WAKE UP they using other people to make profit.. only that they on the other side of the World and they give a fuck what happens with there workers.

    it's slavery it's madness it's psychopath

  • Comment removed

  • Well, safety of others can also apply to externalities, where the company is not legally responsible, but is none the less causing harm.

Though I will say, as public image (as you mention) becomes more and more important with 21st century transparency in branding, this is likely to fix itself. Disregard will no longer be profitable.

  • Litigation which the plaintiff can afford better than most defendants, and most defendants know it. And there are junk/bitch scientists willing to swear in court -- for a fee -- that the chemical does not harm, blah blah blah. A rationalist would be worried about bad PR developing, but a psycho enjoys the idea that scads of people will get cancer, knows that he will make his bundle before the PR storm breaks, and that he will be protected by the corp. shell from personal penalties.

  • This is a fantastic series. It should have been bought by one of the news/education channels like PBS. Even BBC. I admire the effort made in making this. I too, shall make a donation.

  • I understand the filth and shady practices that go hand-in-hand in the corporate world. However, these practices come from people, not the system per se. Capitalism isn't intrinsically wrong, greedy acts are. I actually believe "less is more" when it comes to extra legislation. As scary as industrial power can be by itself, our society won't be better off if we add incompetent and unaffective government into the recipe.

  • "The ABCs of the psychopath -- no anxiety, no bonds, and no conscience -- have been in the boardroom and in the news media for decades." Reid Meloy Ph.D. - forensic psychologist and author of The Psychopathic Mind.

  • This is a blurb about a book that Robert Hare co-wrote. Robert Hare is the expert interviewed in the film.

  • It's simple: if a corporation wants to be considered a legal person, then they should be forced to receive the whole gambit, not the just pick and choose what that applies to. If a person commits murder with his hands, we don't cut them off and send the criminal on his way; we persecute the whole being. Each of the leadership involved in a rogue business should too be treated in the same way as the rest of the self; if they commit murder, they should all suffer an exacting punishment.

  • La planet faut qu'elle pête !!!

On ne la mérite pas car, on la

détruit au bout et on s'en foue

on pense juste à l'argent et

ne la mérite pas faut qu'elle

    saute et recommencer à zéro.

  • "truthadvocate" watch the whole film and the longer description of the psychopathy of corporations that this psychiatrist gives in the "extras" of the corporation dvd. You'll see there's lots of evidence presented.

  • Previous section proves it. Watch it.

  • Well as I'm guessing you weren't aware of, the first corporations had a legal agreement with the U.S. government stating that the corporation would legally be treated AS A PERSON. Look it up in the other parts of this documentary.

  • shut up.

  • Interesting. I was hoping for something better. That's the problem that people like Ralph Nader and Naomi Klein seem not to appreciate; they treat people as if they're better than they are, as if they're just as clear minded, if not as educated, as Naomi and Ralph - but their followers are just regular dumb folks with a bee in their bonnet over "the other side". Well, from now on I'm taking up a pro-"The Corporation" stance to see what the reaction is...

  • You would have made a good Nazi.

Göring: "[I]t is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Communist dictatorship... voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

  • I just know you have that on a t-shirt.

  • Or perhaps a Leninist.

    Lenin: "Freedom? What for?"

Victor Klemperer would have had people like you strung up and left "hanging from the lampposts for as long as was compatable with hygiene."

  • A Corporation is a ''legal person'' according to the law.

  • Yes. My reading is that these laws need to be "tweaked". Find a regular joe citizen who gives a shibboleth.

  • Oh, your "reading" says tweaking is in order? Do you ever speak anything but pretentious, steaming bullshit?

  • Somebody needs a nap.

  • Funny, I thought the most harm in the world had been done by people in power who knew EXACTLY what they were going (Do the names Hitler, Stalin et al. mean anything to you, you complete cretin?). Your pretentious paraphrase of Marilyn Vos Savant is the most fucking idiotic thing I've ever read.
