  • nobody uses yahoo anyway

  • @hellojulie how can Yahoo still be worth millions (if not billions) when nobody uses it?

  • Wouldn't they do the same thing here? If the US government asked for that info, I'm sure they would give it. You can't attack one company for a sickness in the whole system.

  • In a Chinese jail you have to work for 16 hours a day 7 days a week. You won't get that in the US.

    FREE China from slavery.

  • Yahoo should be tried for treason, conspiring with communists, and crimes against humanity.

  • lol i heard he quit his job... i wonder why... XD

  • well China is a good place without the CCP. Chinese are nice people, CCP is not chinese people!

  • Boycott Yahoo. There are other alternatives.

  • The ones that doesn't work for CCP fear them!

  • I am lucky I do not live in China or Tibet.

  • wow Jerry Yang gave the personnal info of chinese civiliants against CCP directly to the CCP. What a shame! What do u think happened to those people when they were jailed in China, tortured and killed...

  • 10 years in a chinese jail for forwarding a trivial directive. People in china must live in fear of CCP.

Jerry Jang and yahoo it looks like you help create fear among many people.

  • 中国需要一个多党制。

  • Also Jerry Yang is 'Black listed' in Ireland

  • I hope this Jerry will be arrested in the future for what he has done, what goes around comes around, shame on him

  • I think it's a huge shame the travesties against those in China and other communist countries is still an ongoing issue. I fully remember the Tianemen (sp?) incident as if it were yesterday. It was horrible, just horrible. God bless those who are suffering and give them the strength to not falter. In the end it will be full circle for what goes around does come back...to bite those that have caused pain and suffering!

  • i wonder how about US national security agency orders chinese companies (branched in us) to disclose their information. is that legal?

  • bg24955:

This video was silenced and the news story was crushed over night!

We may never know what acts of treason that Piece of Shit g. w. bush committed against U.S. Citizens or for that matter against the world.

  • seriously! agh!

  • Terms Of Service - TOS violation .... hurray !

  • sometimes I think my walls have ears.

I knew the subject matter in 1984 wasn't far off.......

  • Thank you .. so I suppose this also applies to private email...

I suppose no email is safe..

  • its a damn shame that is come to this

    what is yahoo doing ?

  • What the hell these no brainers' congressmen think they are doing. If yahoo is on Chinese territorial jurisdiction then they are obliged to follow Chinese laws. If the law says they have to release information then they have to follow it. They can't do anything about it. Maybe these people should go back to school and learn law before they start running for the congress.

  • If you listen again you'll hear that Yahoo's legal obligation IS mentioned...

  • yahoo blows

  • kill bush save the planet!!!!

  • Wow, the kind of behavior by those Congressmen was very uncalled for.

  • Jerry Yang doesn't need to apology, he is just doing what the Yahoo is supposed to do in any country.

  • the only one guilty here is the fascist chinese government

  • That's a bit hypocritical isn't it ?

The US law requires Yahoo, Google, and other such firms to give access to their logs as well, without informing the user of the fact.

It was an unfortunate incident, but a company needs to abide by the local law, and that person should've taken some basic precautions instead of puting all of Yahoo's chinese employees in that situation in the first place.

  • wow, so who is safe to email with?

why were they legally obliged to give that information?

  • One human life is more valuable than $1 billion dollars. Shame on Jerry Yang for sacrificing hi Tao just to protect its 'business interests' (i.e. money-making business)!
