Guys, he's using either acrylic ink or watered down acrylics. I read someone say it was water color but you can't get that opaque like he did when he was applying it without using a fuckton of pigment, which could be very wasteful and expensive. And he probably used white acrylic to cover up the yellow. Case solved! :D

Its a clayboard so the ink comes right off, as opposed to it being paper where the ink would basically stay forever!

the reason why i love alex pardee:

he takes the visions that we sometimes all have, and he emphaszes on them until he's created a masterpeice. he has no boundaries with his art. he does stuff that we all wish we could do, but dont have the mental tools necessary to expand on the idea. alex does, and he uses them beautifuly. same reason why i love david firth and mike sutfin.

i think its funny how everyone is like "what kinda paint is that", its kinda similar to some graffiti artist believing there's an ink that is impossible to buff (remove). but in reality, its just putting in work. most people will always see the final outcome, but very few see how much it takes to get there.. IMO of course

@blueguitar77 Fuck yeah I was wondering the same thing... I've just made a painting using similar technique to Pardee but I'm still stuck with all that excesive paint! Although I used watercolor instead of ink, and I ain't got a ink pen till tomorrow so using a uniball black pen atm. But turned out real good anyway.
