Yet another brainwashed doctor. Astigmatism is actually one of lesser serious eye problems. You get astigmatism from: prolonged computer use( eyes fixated on the screen etc) Always looking at near objects (computers) etc.Not to mention that humans are divine creatures, use your eyes, or anything for that matter for the bad of others or yourself and surely you will be punished.
Start loving yourself and smile - your eyes will heal. Glasses will not fix your sight but worsen it.
@wheresmyfun science isn't an answer to everything and religion isn't the answer to science. they complement each other and let's leave it at that.
as for astigmatism - it can be congenital or acquired. even if you don't believe in genetics you believe that things have predetermined functions - so that concept isn't very alien.
I do agree though that everything is economically driven but results are results. you can't ignore fact.

He actually developed a system that helps you relax the eye muscles and loosen up tension. His method was so successful that the major players in the eye/glasses/contacts industry made sure his merchandise was made ILLEGAL. Really? Why would people/ want something that actually helps other made illegal? Because this industry makes billions. You can heal.
i also have had astigmatism all my life & since my eyes r diff. (1 is worse than the other) i used to see three diff things. 1 was the real thing & 2 were fakes. thank god we eliminated 1 fake with lasic and narrowed the 2nd...though i thought i no longer had it i just figured out abt a yr ago tht i still do :( and it can come on at anytime...i dont even gotta blink! it rrrlllyyy stinks to have astigmatism :(
Hi . I have had a astigmatism in my right eye all my life . I tryed glasses. I didnt like them . Then I tryed contacts . They irritated my eyes . My eyes could not adjust to contacts . I can see when both of my eyes work together . My vision has got worse over time . Now im worried that my left eye could get hurt and leave me blind , because my right eye is such a blurr ! I want to fix my bad eye , but i dont want to make the wrong decision that could leave me with only one eye ! I Good luck !
@gina777416 well i am 15 & the same way. but honestly after u wear the glasses 4 a bit...like a week or 2...thn it will b like your not wearin thm except when your nose sweats......they r a pain then /:
@gina777416 Just wear your glasses. Either that or your eyesight will just get worse. Glasses are easy to get used to. Contacts take patients. it took me nearly a year to get used to mine. or you can just go get surgeryy?
Hi! I have this eye problem where I kind of have double vision. Like when I look at a horizontal line, there will be a "shadow line" just below it. The greater distance, the further away the "shadow line" is from the real line. Is this astigmatism?

I got a question does your vision still get blurry at times or not(with your contacts on)? Because I've had mines for a week and I still get blurry vision.
I was told I have astigmatism but I can see things just fine. I can read the eye chart perfectly and I can read books fine and things in the distance, still I am being perscribed glasses yet I see things clearly. Why would I still need glasses?
i was told today that i have astigmatism, i was also told its irreversible and that my eye is shaped like a football leading to why my eye lid's are football shaped.
I was told that my astigmatism couldn't be corrected! I wear lenses sometimes, but they really don't help much! ... So I am kinda used to living with it now!

You are not correct too doctor, the cornea do not have any relation to the astigmatism!

I have an extremely bad astigmatism. But I can see REALLY good up close, it's almost like microscopic vision xD.
It sucks though, I hate it.
