  • Is the only difference in titebond 1 2 and 3 the time it takes to dry

  • is cherry good for a amndolin

  • can an european linden be used or only american aka basswood

  • FM-52E Mandolin is my mandol;in and the part to hook up to the amp r whatever isnt functioning..... the electric part.... i dunno... can u help me or suggest something.

  • You can do what ever you like, I am trying to show you how to do things and save money at the same time.

  • Is there a reason that you cut the maple veneer in half, run it through a surface planer, and then glue it back together? Could you instead just get a larger sheet of maple veneer with a quarter inch thickness? I ask this only because iv'e not got a table saw :P

  • It's more like a mandola or octave mandolin.

  • i want to build a 5 string CGDAE electric mandolin but i don't have the equipment.

  • Do you know where I can get ebony wood and lacewood

  • @shaqene23 monteath Hardwood in New Jersey. They have a web site.

  • @guitwild wait your from jersey. you make me still have faith in this state

  • :) !

  • nice mando. you might try resawing on a bandsaw rather than that table saw. looks kinda scary!

  • hey could you make me a mandolin too? there pretty expensive

  • good craft but why electric?

  • I built this Mandolin for the fun of it and wanted a Mandolin that did'nt need to be mic'd. The cool thing about this Mandolin is that it does not feedback.

  • It is A Fender P Bass pickup. I am only using half of the pickup. I found it on ebay.

    Perry

  • where did u get the pickup exactly? im trying to make a solid ukulele and i cant find any magnetic pickups anywhere for it

  • what are the dimensions of the wood you used?

  • and where did you get the wood?

  • i have a question:canyou make a good-sounding mandolin out of only sugar-maple wood? because my dad is going to cut down that tree and i want to make something out of it

  • Sugar maple is a great Hardwood if you are lucky the grain will be either Flamed, Quilted, or Birdseye. If the tree is not cut down properly you can damage the center grain. My mandolin is a solid body Basswood with a Maple veener top.Pickups make up about 90 percent of the sound.

  • One of your best shows yet, I can not wait to view more.

  • That's cool.

    I love it. :D
