  • Hi, seems that the rear exhaust fan is blowing towards your Zalman CPU cooler. You should turn it around and exhaust the hot air from the Zalman Cpu cooler.

  • what RAM settings are you using with ASUS striker Extreme. i want to install corsair XMS2 DHX 2 X 2GB

  • what color is the leds on CNPS9700-NT

because yours is green, i see some blue ones, and even red ones... do i have to guess wich i buy?

  • @dash605 the fan color for the cpu cooler is green. the blue leds are from another fan!

  • @zycreations thanks, in that case, im not gonna but it, im looking for a red one, with great cooling, is the Thermaltake SpinQ VT an option?

  • will this fit a socket 1366 core i7-920?

  • 775/754/939/940/AM2 2800rpm 90 x 124 x 142

  • dude was anything dripping at the begining or was that the camera

  • That would be the camera, it's the lights reflections in there to the camera that making it

  • Ordered and waiting for it to arrive. I chose this over the LED because I feel better when the CPU fan is auto.

  • why get the NT? when the Copper LED is better.. If you had all green coloured fans i would get the NT too but all your other fans are blue lit, so surly the LED is the one to go for.

  • Matching your colours is not the way to go

  • GOd i love that cooler,i jst got one from frys electronics a day ago! i'll be making a new video on it soon, and some upgrades on my comp. an if you guys no were 2 find a cheap 8800 gts, tell me! i need one more to make my comp complete!!!!!!!! (an mabey a new processor to, hmm?)

  • does any1 have an thlon 6000 x2 and the fan it terribly loud when playing games? i need this fan i think

  • would this cooler be enough for Q6600 ?

  • Yes, my q6600 is running 3.4ghz with one of these.

  • cool im getting it.

  • This is the top-of-the-line flagship product from Zalman, I better hope it's enough o_o

Be careful though, this thing is a good 124mm on all sides, at least. I'd measure out 130 on all sides of your case, to be on the safe side. It should fit all gaming cases, but normal and some gaming midtower cases might have some trouble.

Oh, and don't buy thermal paste. The one that comes with the HSF is great. I get temps of 18C on my e6400 @ 3.0 with them :)

  • its really great my temp dropped from 85 to around 50 on idle and its so quite.

  • you had an idle temp of 85 ? jesus christ what were you doing cookin eggs on that thing?

  • while i got cpu stress test on i can boil water.

  • i ve got a E6850 over cloaked to 2x3.52 ghz could i use such a cooler with a 120 mm fan behind it ? or do i need a stronger cpu cooler? im asking becourse i got a 9500 iside but its blue and i dont want to use it as manuel....

  • would you recomend it for an E6550 ? cuz with the stock fan, its running idle at 54 degrees celsius.

  • Would recomend this cooler for any processor. It's good at its work.

    cheerz

  • Dude, there's something wrong with your processor. Even with stock fan, it's not suppossed to reach 54C. I can only imagine what it'll do on load; 60C is usually considered when temps start becoming dangerous.

  • Case?

  • I should get one. My Golden Orb II isn't keeping my Q6600 cool enough. Running Prime it gets as hot as 65C. o_o;

  • is that a freezer????

  • lol yes it is but he probbly got that thing over clocked so he cold make it silent but lose pc profomance

  • 9700 NT is pretty noisy at full speed, everything around 2000RPM is alright ( 2800RPM is his full speed )

It cools my Q6600 pretty well with CPU temp of 20c and cores are running 32-39c at 1300RPM.

When it's OC-ed to 3.6GHz @ 1.35v temps are higher for 5-10 in load and 5-7 in idle.

  • Sounds nice, im thinking of a Zalman 9500. Isn't much difference is it? except for the blue leds :P

  • the 9500 has less copper and the light is blue. but if your getting the new 45nm chips their very cool, my zalman 9700 does not activate the fan until 10 seconds after start up.

  • just remembered the 9700 come with an auto temp reader that will automatically adjust fan speed i think the 9500 is manual.

  • All that with 7600gt?LOL

    Asus striker? 8800 GT SLI?

  • The thing is i dont play many games just a few like Flight Simulator and F.E.A.R, But incase i want to play more games i would upgrade my graphic card to a XFX 8800GT.

  • hey at least he has something cool unlike you... i hate ppl who think there better but u can only see words comming out of there mouth... nopics or vids about there rig...

  • what are you talking about? Think im better?

    wow

  • I got a 7600GT they are not so bad if you dont game.

  • Well, not the DX10 games but all the DX9 games works great

  • Fuck that big

  • Nice! ya i have it with me and man, videos cant do it any justice it's massive! but i've already measured it for room in my nzxt apollo case and i have plenty of clearance...I almost have all of the parts necessary for my build...just waiting on the 8800gtx now!

  • Nice i just bougt that same zalman cpu cooler how well does it cool the processor i'm gonna be running it with the q6600

  • hey mate the Zalman CNPS 9700NT is a massive cooler. It cooled my Core 2 Duo E6600 from 45(stock cooler) degree to 24 degree IDLE temperature.

  • Hay when u installed the cooler is it tightly installed like it doesnt wobble when u move it to a different angle or is it like loose type of thing.

I have mine installed but it doesnt look tightly installed even tho the screws are mounted on my board but the only thing after I installed it my board it freezes or locks up during post after when its turned on and I have a Asus striker board.

  • The Zalman 9700nt is tight. It doesnt move at all or wobble around for me. you might be missing something have you read the installination guide, its easy to install.

  • you tightened one of the screws too much, take them all off, and put them all in at the same time, but dont tighten them. give them each one turn at a time till they are all tight, then you will have a proper fit.

  • Thats cool i built my rig a few months ago. Best of luck with yours. have fun.

  • Thanx I'll post the video when i'm finished..
