  • dude to know that something that huge can stalk anything is pretty impressive, i just like all of those from the big blue really though.

  • bawia sie paczka chipsow, albo praza popcorn... nie wiem co konkretnie robia ale cos kombinuja te orki ;]

  • Very cool to watch and hear .

  • why does 7:00 to 8:00 sound like a helicopter landing and taking off?

  • The Orca is (in my humble opinion) the most intelligent and most well rounded animal in the animal kingdom. The Orca is the only animal known to actually stalk and kill a Great White Shark. There are certain pods of Orcas that know if they come from underneath the shark turn said shark on its side quickly, the shark will be paralyzed and unable to defend itself. Researchers have just found this out in the last decade or so.

  • Someone help me out on this - It's sounds like there's wind in this recording, but can you hear the whales if you were standing on a ship or at the beach or do you need waterproof recording equipment?

  • i love their sounds... beautiful

  • at 0:20 does it look like the water is moving but realy slowly?

  • Amazing. I love this thank you for sharing. *smooches*

  • These beautiful, highly intelligent mammals belong in the oceans. They were never meant to be domesticated or penned in parks. The average life span of an orca in captivity is 25 years compared to some wild orcas who have been documented to live over 80 years.

  • @da0boogie0man0slayer

I also think it's horrible that they keep these creatures in water tanks and in zoo's! It's abuse! You don't treat intelligent animals like that. In fact, you don't treat any animal like that... I'm against locking up animals.

  • Wow, Dave, I didn't realize that your Orca Song video had become so popular! BTW, if anyone has questions about whales and dolphins, they should visit the American Cetacean Society's website for information before posting speculations on YouTube.

  • theyre from Sirius

  • I love the melody, but the beat could use a little more energy...all in all though, this is a sure fire hit with certain types of people...

  • Did you know long ago killer whales and dolphins used to live on land? Their bodies have adapt to living in the oceans. At least that is what scientists say.

  • Rachel l!!! Just shut up!!!!

  • <3

  • Rachel: Just out of curiosity, what's the most intelligent? The bottlenose? Aren't there some scientists who think the orca is actually more intelligent?

  • @DavidNeiwert Orcas are certainly one of the most intelligent, and some scientists do consider them to be the most intelligent.

  • @DavidNeiwert The Orca is oceans top predator, so probably xD . :)

  • @DavidNeiwert no the bottlenose dolphin is the worlds most intelligent animal

  • @DavidNeiwert yeah it's been proven the Orca is the more intelligent along with dolphins

  • @DavidNeiwert Yes but scientists all argue with the correct way to measure intelligence, but by many orcas are recently considered the ultimate hunter above great white sharks along with the most intelligent. They are also believed to be going through an evolution right now which would be really cool :-)

  • @DavidNeiwert Orca's have larger brains, better memories and a more diverse culture. Bottlenose have self-awareness and the capacity for humour. Needless to say it's a subject to much controversy, they are both incredibly intelligent Cetaceans.

  • @AlphaGinga The bottlenose also have superior cognitive functioning from what I understand.

  • Orca's come from the family Delphinidae, the latin scientific name is Orcinus orca, the genus name Orcinus means "of the kingdom of the dead". your talking to someone who's studid orca for all her 18 year old life. the name Killer whale dervies from the fact they kill whales. they are infact of the delphinidae family aka dolphin and are the largest of the dolphin family. They are the top predator of the sea and are the second most intelligent aquatic animal in the world

  • @RachelBalsdon Did you also know there are three to five different types of Orca? Also, The genus, Orcinus, translates to "belonging to the realms of the dead" or "bringer of death." in Latin. It was given the name for it's ability to kill, and not always eat what they kill, but sometimes to play with it, and for how they hunt...and not just whales. Also, the sea cucumber is the top predator of the sea, though dolphins are deffinatly of the most intelligent creatures on this planet. >_>;

  • whale or motor. this is gay

  • @tr763 how is this gay anyways?

  • THE DORRPHIN AND THE WHARE?!

  • Killer whale means that they kill whales. Sure they are dolphins.

  • ME ENCANTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !! =P

  • They are the largest member of the Dolphin family . Beautiful animals . . . and the Apex predator of the oceans .

  • Hey TheLonelyWaffleKid, the Orcas are a class of the Dolphins. Orcas are part of there class name the name Killer Whale is what they kill and eat.

  • One of the worlds breathtaking sounds.

  • Sounds like, who ever recorded this, was having some microphone issues...

  • @Dolphingerman everything sounds better than Justin Bieber...

  • @mrpoopdaddy LOL rofl. coment made me crack.

  • On en sait tellement peu sur les créatures marines.....

  • this is my first time ever hearing orca music, it's alot better than i ever thought it would be. I love how erie it is..

  • jilicker your absolutley correct whales and dolphins carry a very important frequency for earth and the history of all that ever was ...we need them universally, spritually and historically.

  • dum fishey

  • SOME EXCELLENT ORCA SOUNDS HERE ILL BE DOWNLOADING AND EDITING THE BEST BITS

  • @spootyvell His parents never gave him any attention.

  • theyre so amazing

  • True...killer whale is a missconception. Simply because of their size. They do kill do. Killer dolphins would be accurate. Killer whales sounds proper though in my opinion. Wolves of the sea.

  • 7:07 sounds like a hornet swarm.

  • I love that sound^^

  • Beautiful!! your so lucky to have heard them ........im always in awe of these beautiful mammals

  • Beautiful................your so lucky liketoburststuff!! im always in awe of these beautiful mammals xx thanks for shareing xx

  • Is that sound underwater ? or above the sea level , I could never hear anything when I am underwater

  • is this the jungle of the water?

  • Lol i guess im lucky being a submariner. Im a sonar operator so i get to hear these wonderful creatures chatting to each other all the time. And yeah they are very curious about us. They come really close just to see who and what we are. I guess its because we're making an unfamiliar noise to them

  • thats so cool!!!

  • They have fun when hunting of course, every predator does. However Orca's have never killed a human in the wild so would you all relax and listen to the songs?

  • beautiful pictures ,nice video Thank you!

  • God, hopefully you all would be able to spell correct?! An mammal or animal will only attack if feeling threatened or protecting a pod member..do your homework in marine biology..I have dove with sharks..and "we" are more of the threat to them..humans kill over 100 million sharks a year and countless whales..what's the cost?? we are destroying our closet living mammals..

  • yeah @davidjames308 but also keep in mind that recently whaling became illegal so whales are making a recovery but the japanese are still killing counless dolphins

  • @darkcheerio89 japanese still kill just as much whales as they did before they don't give a flying crap about what rules are being set up.. someone should seriously do something about that.

  • thats bollocks.

    Orcas do kill for pleasure.

These highly intelligent animals have developed "hunting for practise and entertainment" behaviour.

  • @maartsvenson orcas don't attack or hunt or kill humans on purpose ONLY when they feel threatened most ''dead by orca'' causes are because the orcas didn;t realize humans are fragile and easily die and can;t breathe underwater

  • I doubt that you have got any evidence.

Besides, your reasoning has a significant flaw.

Assuming you are right, why should they feel threatened by humans.

    Oracas are

  • very well aware of their size and destructive potential.

they know that a human couldnt harm them-

and as said, orcas do kill for pleasure. this is observed behaviour, so stop speaking like a hippy and back your statements up.

I dont know porpoises very well but they are all way to small to seriously insure killerwhales, arent they?

  • @davidjames308 or if said animal is hungry..

  • lol scrub some orcas soly eat great whites

  • nice to hear wild orcas 8)

  • Orca's a.k.a Killerwhales are in fact Dolphins, the Killerwhale name is because they eat even great whales (the calves)

  • @Niiiiiiickk Orcas comes from the word Ornicus orca, as their latin scietific name says they are from the dolphins family and share many characteristics as gathering in gangs to kill individuals bigger than them as blue whales. The name Ornicus means corpse, simply because sailor saw orcas eating corpses of whales.

  • @Niiiiiiickk Also, they are whales because dolphins are whales...

  • i like orcas ive seen them on attenborough s documentries they even beach themselves to get a top up tan and for fun they play catch with baby seals

  • Dolphins aren't whales they are.....dolphins

  • LMAO! I agree.....THANK YOU!

  • Dolphins are Dolphins yes. And Dolphins are one of the specie whale.

  • yea toothed whales. finaly someone who knows that!

    :-)

  • yeppp

  • no there whales they are there toothed whales

  • Muy bueno! Me encantó. Qué hermoso es escuchar la voz de las orcas!

  • All this interference is pretty unnerving.

  • the relaxing sound is the water dude but the whales help..

i just wanted to hear calm music but whales arent so relaxing so im gonna hear clasical music.

yeah whales are a beautyful animal :)

  • I WANNA HUG THE WHALES! they sound sooo cute!

  • It's amazing how such a huge animal can be so gentle and caring towards people and other orca's. And sound so calming.

  • aaaaaw they are so cute and their little voices are so cute too aaaw i wanna just give um a big hug

  • did you know a dolphin can communicate with whales

  • Beutiful sounds

  • Save the whales!!! Save the world...

  • orca ar enot whales but a type of dolphin... called killer whales cos they eat whales!

  • No, every swimming fish-like mammal is considered a whale. That goes for dolphins and orca's aswell.

  • yet would that generalization would be the same as saying the tabby house cat is a lion!

  • both house cats and lions are cats... like tigers, cougars, lynxes,... but i get your point. you're talking subclasses.

  • no -.- killer whales is a false name, orcas are actually dolphins. their called cetaceans.

    and they arent fish

  • hahaha.. from this i can understand your a little insecure full-of-crap little kid.

  • amen brother, although the word cunt could have also been used towards tristan. retard and wanker would also have been good. and fucking pratt, twat, shithead, arsehole, the list goes on.

  • So your name is Tristan, you're around 15 years old, and you think you're the best thing to happen to the internet?

    Sounds like you're a moron.

  • @TheLonelyWaffleKid Damn right!

  • @TheLonelyWaffleKid

Dolphins and Orcas both belong to the order of whales!

    You hobby zoologist!

  • @TheLonelyWaffleKid Check your facts. Wikipedia is an easy and excellent source. Especially when you are so certain and want to be correct.

  • @TheLonelyWaffleKid Maybe they are called killer whales because they kill whales....

  • @Jaahaah thats exactly how they got the name Killer Whales

  • @Jaahaah thats exactly why xD

  • @TheLonelyWaffleKid kewl. xD

  • u dont lnow what ur talking about and thats no true. dolphins, seals, are not considerd whales dont say stuff u dont know!

  • dolphins are whales, toothed whales.

  • i study these creatures thats how i know im a trainor for dolphins

  • we should better be trained from them than otherwise. thats my oppinion

  • your actilly right!

  • Trainer??

  • FANTASTIC!!!! I LIKE SO MUCH!!!

  • "oOoooOOOhhe!!!"

  • i heard something....Pink floyd!!!!!!

  • what echoes? does sound a lot like that bit in the middle of echoes

  • Yay good song

  • orcas pwn all

  • i love whales. Their advanced communication skills and intelligence may hold the secret to our world.

  • o.o explain please

  • that is ridiculous

  • you are quite correct

  • @jilicker interspeices comunication will hold the keys to the next world for certain, and if we reach towards our own sentients with fellow beings at hand, such as those of cetaceans pedogry, when we will be well on our way by even contemplating such a thing as possilbe. Such may be our destiny out amounsgst the starts as life saviers rather than mere life takers & consumiers, if only we should choose to try .

  • @jilicker Dolphin once had legs... We are going to be dolphins in a couple centuries...

  • @jilicker live. love. laugh. no secret.

  • @jilicker ur not cool for saying something like that

  • check out wikipedia there are 3 types of orcas.

  • very haunting but very cool

  • Man, look how much noise the boats make; no wonder Orcas in the wild are avoiding their usualy places to pass by... too many boats nowadays.

  • There are actually 2 kinds of orcas, one that eats fish only and one that eats mammals only.

  • When I was little I use to love orcas but when I watched a video of them killing this other baby whale they kind of scare me now... Like If I were in the ocean and i saw those fins I would try and get the hell out of there

  • But orcas rarely attack humans! :D

  • To date, no human has ever been attacked or killed by a wild orca whale. However, in captivity, orcas have killed two people and paralyzed, bitten, body-slammed, or held underwater for long periods of time dozens of trainers. I think the orcas are trying to say "Hey! We don't want to be in these tanks; let us go!"

  • Actually, your wrong. There has been ONE attack on a human by an Orca in the wild. A surfer paddling out to sea off the coast of California was accidently mistaken for a seal by a transient Ora. The Orca let of as soon as he realized that the man was definitly not a seal; the guy had to have about 100 stitches.

  • I read about one of those attacks. The whale pulled its trailer under for a long period of time, but they don't believe it was to actually harm the trainer. Some scientists said they believed it was either playing or trying to protect the trainer. Anyway I love these animals! I want to be a marine biologist and study them in the wild!

  • omg your just like me..... i live right by a pod of them Ive tooken pictures of the marks behind their dorsal fins and im able to identify them i want to be a marine biologist and study them also!

  • actilly a orca has attacked a human in the wild. and yes thats prob what they sayin!

  • If you were in the ocean with an orca you'd freeze to death before it could eat you....lol. I love oracs

  • Orcas don't eat humans....

  • haha yeahh!!

  • I love Orcas.....

  • no, they are discussing how awful Bo Derek's leg tastes after it was bitten off during the filming of "Orca!"

  • i really like this its soothing.

  • I wonder if they are singing "My Love, We Are one." from the 1977 film, or the song from Free Willy.

  • good song and movie referrence:)

  • BEST EVER!....LOVE ORCAS!.........I CA TRUST THEM!....GONNA WORK WITH THEM...BUT WHEN IT SAYS ..UAAA..UAAA...UAAA...it sound s like a 10-13 yr old girl saying it!:)...AWESOME

  • i work with dolphins trust them but not that much..............there dangerous so just be careful cuz they wont just let you jump in and take you for a ride to tell you the truth they will prob beat you then try to you know cuz they do that with others so they dont understand that were fragile..... BUT GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING YOU PRB WILL DO GREAT!

  • they are so amazing.

  • i love them

  • have to wonder how much those engine noises piss off the whales huh

  • I love orcas! It makes you feel like they are a foot in front of you to watch this. Great video and thank you for sharing it with all of us.

  • Wonderful. Until at 7 minutes, when you hear how horrid whiney engine noise sounds compared to the residents calls. Sad, but how this urban strait life is nowadays.
