paul belmondo was a classic example of a driver who had no business in f1.....just look at his record it speaks for itself....too many drivers have come along over the years with more money than talent and it shows on the track
think the worst paying drivers who raced in F1 in recent years are those seen. And I say: Yamamoto, Ide, Diniz, Burti, Baumgartner, Kartikeyan, Chandock, Lavaggi,Piquet Jr., ecc.... During the late '80s and early to mid 90's at least paying drivers were driving cars without electronic aids, and manual transmission .... are all heroes to me, even though there were those who had less talent Now, the new generation has no excuse .....
@schopfheim91 What on earth do you mean??? Jean-Denis Deletraz is the greatest Grand Prix driver of all time!!! He was only about 10 seconds a lap slower than the leaders at Australia 94..
now thats a gravel trap

Patrese could of done more to get out the way, but Belmondo was going way too fast, no way would he have made the corner at that speed.

Belmondo was too fast, he would never turn at such speed.

It is uncool to slag off Belmondo only for being a rich kid.
There were plenty of less talented drivers in F1

I think that the fault is from belmondo, because he comes very past, But the williams also was going slowly...
Sorry for my english ;) and thanks for comment ;)

Belmondo was clearly on a quick lap there. It was Patrese's responsibility to get out of the way...instead, he was dawdling just off the racing line.
Had this happened in 2008, Patrese would have had a grid penalty for the race.
