Cat eating bread

Funny... my cat won't usually touch bread, but she will try and steal a Nutri Grain bar or shortbread cookie.

cats can't utilize in nutrition any food based on something else than meat, because they are unconditional carnivores. So feeding your cat some bread really won't give him much energy, so I wouldn't be worried about making him fat (unless it's very greasy bread). It's just something to fill his stomach (like fiber).

i feed cats bread too. just make sure it's whole wheat or else you'll have a fat cat!

Although I find this very cute, you shouldn't let your animals eat to much human food. Cat food for one, is made to fill the need of the cat. Human food is not and can actually in some cases (chocolate and dogs for example) be poisonous. My parents are vets, so I just thought I'd let you know :)

One of my cats like bread too (as well as pizza crusts and french fries, although I don't let her eat those as I don't think they're very healthy). Weird little creatures. :)

This is so sweet. I love how Ludwig just purrs louder & louder the more bread he gets. My cat loves bread too. She will pull a loaf off the counter and wrestle with it while eating it.

That's cute! My cats (who are very picky and won't touch most table scraps) both go crazy over Wal-Mart deli french bread. I have to be careful about leaving any lying around the house, or they will tear open the package to get to it!
