  • hi how do you wire the pickup and everything? i cant get mine to work properly. im getting alot of buzzing when i turn it up. the humbucker on my guitar is acting like a single coil. please help!!!

  • Hi there, great job here, how did you finish it? Did you wet sand and lacquer it?

  • @GMTopDecker Thanks GMT - I use acrylic lacquer. It's great to work with, dries fast etc. With relic Frank's etc there's not so much of a need to go crazy with the wetsanding especially as the coats are VERY thin. Cheers

  • Any updates here.. are they for sale?

  • @gunsandguitars Hi there and sorry for the slow response. Yes, I sell guitars from time to time. If you want, please private message me your requirements and we can go from there. Cheers

  • are you still doing these axes ?

  • What guitar did you use to make tihs one ?

  • @MrHeavysteel Hi - pretty sure this one was a KNE body. Cheers

  • What paint do you use?, Brand cuz i v never found a guitar builder in australia so now i can find out the right paint, lol when i ask the guys at bunnings they look at me like dumbasses lol Thanks

  • @ht448 Automotive acrylic lacquer - get it at auto spares places. Bunnings is for painting the house.....hope this helps

  • HEY can you just do the painjob for me? Ill offer 300

  • You make some really good replicas....you should try making the 5150

  • charvel body? Nicely done.

  • Please make a lefty evh guitar for me? Doesnt care if it is Frankenstrat, bumbelbee og Vh-1 cuz no one are making em :(

  • Where did you get that 3 way switch?

  • @evhfrankie Standard Fender part.

  • Hey,

What size did you use befor you put the red coat on?

  • @chez117 the black stripes are standard electrical tape width because that is exactly what he would have used. The thin black stripes where not paint - they where fineline tape he just stuck on - hence they where removed when he painted it red.

  • how was the fender 1's not exact replica

  • No two of the 300 where exactly alike because they where all hand made.

  • Can you make one for me to? :DDDDD

  • damn dude. nice. you almost freaked me out when you flipped it over so quickly. in my state of mind i would thing that it would shatter into a million of pieces if it berly got bumped or something.

  • No way - these are robust as anything. Just look at at!

  • all i see is heaven

  • Nice piece. Did you know that there is a freakin copyright on these guitars and all three paint schemes. I found out the hard way directly from Tracy Taub of EVH. He is better known as the stripe patrol! Nice people but very serous about Ed's copyrights. If you sell these and they find out about it depending on the circumstance the wrath of EVH comes down on you! BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • omgomgomgomgomgomg!!!!!

    u r so crazyyyyy!!!

  • How did you get the fretboard to look dirty?

  • Trade secret.....basically various colours of timber stain diluted with thinners.

  • could you do that to a finished neck?

  • @evhfrankie Not really - it would look strange (fake) and probably end up wearing funny with age. Best to strip it back to bare maple and treat it with wax/oil - it's not hard.

  • great guitar exact to the last detail ike the 1971 quarter and the tone knob being the volume knob so many people miss that

  • Thanks - there are so many details to get right it isn't funny. Get more than a few rong and the whole thing starts to look very un cool. . .

  • how much is this ...

  • Not for sale - but to give you an idea, most custom builders will charge between $2500-3000 for something like this.

  • Yeah jaja cool but i perfer pay some luthier 2500 dlls and don't buy the 1/4 millon dollars for the original jajjaja you have a really special guitar

  • Yes, considering Fender's internal cost on the parts for the 25k thing would have been around $500, that sure leaves a lot of beer money on the table. I may have one for sale in the near future if your'e interested let me know. I built one for a buddy who has since fallen on hard times and may need some cash. It's unused.

  • Ohhh damn i don't live in USA, i'm from mexico :') so bad but how much your guitar?? and what floyd have??

  • Well - I'm in Australia...not in the USA either, shipping to mexico is only around $90. I use genuine original Floyd Rose trems. I've sent you an email on the cost - cheers.
