  • Very cool! I never knew that this kind of system existed. Did you say that this engine was off of a B-47, and it's going into an F-86?

  • if only these wer eon modern-day jets... bird-strikes begone!!

HAHA, they dont make them like they used to, do they?

  • We out here can learn a lot from 60 year old technology - thanks! I learn a lot more from AJC on Youtube than a $2 million TV commercial by GE.

  • @LarryCanFly Funny, I used to make vireos that i thought would appeal to a wide audience and generate views.

Now it seems I make them for a group of I guess less than 100 people who seem to love this stuff as much as I do.

To the honorary citizens of Jet City, I say that I am proud to be your humble tour guide into the fascinating world of jets...

  • Great vid!

  • Would the actuation of these screens be automatic or controlled by the pilot?

  • @FrontSideBus a switch in the cockpit, manually controlled, probably by the flight engineer.

  • Are there end switches for each position? Or stops the motor at a defined torque.

  • @Licon1x The system has a mechanical clutch at each screw jack position, and there are limit switches built in the the main motors gearbox.

This is one electric motor powering 8 screwjacks through a series of flexible cables.

  • Ah,there's a flock of Canada geese...Let's close the screen

  • Thank you very much AgentJayZ for all of these videos.. You cure my curiosity.. = )
