  • just awesome

  • I always knew of this release (while never having heard it) and it was supposed to be the 'dark, suicidal side of mortiis'. I really don't hear that. This sounds like Mortiis to me. The Mortiis I know, at least. I heard he went gay in the late 90s.

  • this is awesome.

  • @blaztradiouz666 My dying bride is metal. This is dark ambient. That's as similar as saying that spanish is fake greek.

  • @Random2 But...It is!!!

  • @blaztradiouz666 No, it is not. One has guitars the other does not. One is romantic, the other is not. One is ... Must I really go on? If the only thing moderately depressive you know is MDB you're in for a rough surprise and I strongly suggest you try and listen to more music and more styles.

  • Im glad i dident pay for this...Fake my diying bride song!!!!

  • Αaaahhh great song from a great record here, this brings back lots of memories...

  • I hope one of them motherfuckers is a girl

  • @cucuk666 Yes, they are Håvard Ellefsen (from Mortiis) and Ilsa Raluce Anghel from Vond.

  • IM A FUCKING HOBBIT

  • i love this song

  • the most depressing song ever. This song describes my contempt for everything that exists. I love my hate.

  • @uglyguido you'll grow out of it...

  • @taikogroove never.

  • This is one of those songs that is forever ingrained in my memory. Absolute masterpiece!! Through VOND, Mortiis shows his more "human" side, I believe.....

  • good song buy i cant tell what the cover is of. is that a dude getting a blow job, or a dude stabbing a chick in a bathtub

  • @uberpwnage223 lol!!!!!

  • @uberpwnage223

Yea its kind of confusing, but judging by the title of the album I think its mortiis literally killing himself.

  • it is not his first after he left Emperor he made a rare mortiis lp before vond he allso made another band called fatamorgana same style as mortiis vond etc etc

  • @decadesofsorrow

I found Fata Morgana and Cintcele Diavoli to be vastly different from Mortiis and this particular album of Vond.

This and Era I Mortiis was lots of orchestral work, dark and eerie, with a very classical edge to it, where his other side projects seemed very electronic. Wasn't a fan of them too much.

  • @Clockworkz

Have you heard all the way through The Devil's Songs? The later half of it reminded me quite a bit of some of the other Vond stuff (Green Eyed Demon and such) - at least it's more like that than it's like the "popular" tracks from that album (Midnight Hunt, Vampir etc).

Also, some of the more uptempo, organ-driven tracks felt very reminiscent of Crypt of the Wizard for me, even though it's two very different very different albums, thematically.

  • I believe this may have been the first release after his stint from Emperor. I know it was banned in Norway after its initial release on a metal label(Malicious). Murder and suicide was part of that scene at that time. Of course this is not metal at all. Love his early stuff.

  • Brilliant...

This reminds me walking through the forest, under the fog, when its hard to see where will be your next footstep.

Still not understand this suicidal thing...

This brings life! do you want to kill yourself? Hear RAP or Hip Hop... Jazz would help too

  • Jazz woul help?LOL FUCK OFF

  • @Haegl0Sein you're the kind of person that everyone says.........sigh..........'well if he won't kill himself... we'll have to do it for him'

    :-0

  • One amazing piece of music!

    He's a genius!

  • Very sad, but very peaceful. I've always loved this song, especially in my ambient/black metal days :D

  • Masterpiece as always by Mortiis.

  • Alongside "To The Dreamer Dead and the Dreamer Dying" this is the best track. Melancholic and depressing, but strangely uplifting. It has a vague medieval air to it as well. Anyone know where the soundbites from "To The Dreamer Dead and the Dreamer Dying" are from?

  • green eyed demon album or you can go on amazon n get the song from the mp3 downloads section just type vond it'll be ther

  • I have the albums and mp3s. What I meant was, there are samples on "To The Dreamer Dead and the Dreamer Dying" which sound like they are from a film. One of them sounds familiar but I can't place it. Any ideas?

  • @maldarorisdead:

could you upload them somewhere? I cant find them anywhere to buy or download here in sweden!

  • its a very relaxing song but, after a while it is depressing for some reason :S

  • Probably has to do with looking at Mortiis attempting to slash some girls throat for 10mins 08secs lol I love this tune!!!

  • Listen also Wongraven

  • best Vond song

  • Very relaxing.

  • Nice upload, youtube recommended me this video and it seems I am the first one to view it, so strange...
