Well, there's free lancer, but you only fly the ship in that game. They were gonna make a sequel that would have been like mass effect with the freelancer mechanics, but it got scrapped

And it focuses on more of a storyline,

i was expecting more from exploration but still a great game. too bad not more options (like different enemies or more unexpected enemies) for exploration would be nice.
