Sold my Mellotron for one of these. It was a compromise for me. The Mellotron had the best sound, but the Arp was much more roadworthy and dependable. I got to where I missed the 'tron sound. Now I have it, along with the Arp sampled digitally. What an age we live in!

Call me dumb or whatever. But why today's gear are not like the old days of lovely beasts as that one? Solina is marvelous. And will be forever.

you´re no dumb, Solina is a great synth. all of the music from 70's and 80's is full of this caracteristic sound,. i have a Solina String synthesizer, very rare. only 100 were made. try to put a phase in the output and listen the results.

This is the original, invented in the Netherlands by an organ manufacturer (Eminent) and re-stickered by Arp.

Run it thru a smallstone phaser and you've got instant Jean Michel Jarre...
