  • Ron Paul 2012!

  • He did it now because he could not pressure the Iraqi government to continue to grant immunity to all Iraqi law to all US troops including contractors not bound by American law while overseas. He wanted them to stay, but only if they could get away with all the crimes that were sure to be committed.

If I recall, Obama actually kept troops in Iraq well after the point that Bush had agreed that they would all be removed.

  • Good job Kathryn! Your absolutely right! People like you make me really have hope for the future of our country! We have to do everything we can, our country needs us

Ron Paul 2012! Restore America NOW!

  • You are awesome keep it up Kathy !!!!

  • Another doll head Ronbot.

She is seething because Obama ended the war in an orderly fashion. Make sure you glue your upper and lower jaw together before spewing exhaustively rehearsed flummery, cupcake.

  • @ninuxy Obamanoids are angry cryptofascists. I would be angry too if my hero had to pay Bill Ayers to write his autobiography. At any rate, the war in Iraq is not over. Thousands of government-contracted mercenaries are still there in a huge fortress (euphemistically termed an "embassy"). Now it will be even easier to circumvent the Geneva Convention! By the way, when is Obama going to close Gitmo and call for the repeal of the Patriot Act? It just goes to show, fascists come in all colors.

  • @badnovelist289 Your drivel proved to be nothing more than a cow mooing while taking a dump the size of a dinner plate.

Those "contractors" are not part of the U.S. military so the term war is a malapropism. Try a bit harder next time before embarrassing yourself, bozo.

    Now, keep walking.

  • @ninuxy (1) A malapropism is "defined as "the unintentional use of a word by confusion with one that sounds similar". Try consulting a dictionary for once in your life. Better yet, if your Mom lets you break curfew, take an adult literacy course. (2) A soldier - whether he is under contract with a corporation or enlisted in a national army - is still a soldier, even if journalists call him a "contractor". Armed combat is war, even if you prefer to call it "security work".

  • @badnovelist289 Malapropism is a misused of words in a semantically ridiculous fashion -- not necessarily in a similar sounding word although it can also be define as such.

My intention was to point out the former which went over your head like sonic boom. But don't let quibbling mindless red herring give you a free ammo to veer off the tangent line just to assuage your bruised ego.

  • I suppose, in your infinite wisdom, a security guard serving overseas for some company under the "hired contractor" capacity should be considered a soldier too *pfft*. You can't wrap your head around the fact that Obama ended the war. You're bleeding all over this thread.

And if you wish to act like a cry baby because you feel offended, then perhaps you should call mommy to set up a parental control feature on your machine.

    Take a hike, kiddo.

  • @ninuxy (1) Read Ron Paul's books "The Revolution", "End The Fed", and "Liberty Defined". Then you might be more qualified to heap ridicule on Kathryn DeLong's superb video-essays. (2) That Obama has wasted even more money than George W. Bush is staggering. These two are actually more similar than different. Your political viewpoint is childishly dualistic. (3) As for hiking, I do that regularly.

  • @badnovelist289 Well said.

  • @ninuxy I'm going to do what we should do in Afghanistan - declare victory and go home. I have better things to do, like read more good books. You should take the hint, throw out your collection of Hal Lindsay and Tim LaHaye comics, and read Ron Paul's "Revolution". That would be a good start. Then, go to your local Army recruiter,

tell him you're an Internet Tough Guy in the "war on terrorism", and that you want to go to Fort Benning immediately. Now move out smartly!

  • @ninuxy Your use of tough-guy movie-dialogue banter, such as "cupcake", "bozo", et cetera, cannot divert attention from your ignorance. Try a website more suitable for semiliterate movie buffs. The grown-ups want to talk now.

  • @badnovelist289 After you learn to read use some of your time to turn off the television and find out what is really going on in the world around you. After you come out of your hypnotic spell and get some facts you may actually be able to use your time to benefit yourself and your community.

  • @jcwbonanza69 My statement is directed toward NINUXY not badnovelist289.

  • @jcwbonanza69 Listen, boy, learn to master the rudimentary of YouTube functionality before deciding to ski on everyone's piss.

And when you put that RonPaul tinfoil hat of yours, make sure the sharp edge points upward.

  • @ninuxy You're the man! Thanks.

  • like dontdependonearth said, weve lost waayyyyy more than a simple 4400 brothers and sisters in arms, due to guerilla warfare, suicide, and IED's, and i say DO NOT vote for Ron Paul, the reason i say DONT for is because the sob want to send us over to hispanic countries to assisst them in fighting drug cartels. WTF is wrong with him, we just got done dealing with uneccesary bullshit in the middle east wat make him think we want to go to one of those places, and we just got back home?

  • 4400 is not the real number of killed us soldiers in iraq where the hell do you people get your information from the false u.s media? the deaths of americans in iraq are over 27000

  • okay thats the biggest load of garbage for someone to hear, ,but vote for ron paul,to legalize marijuana.

  • So, we should leave who to guard the US embassy? You do realize we have security at every US embassy in the world? Different levels and different sources of personnel but if I was stationed at the Iraqi embassy I would want troops as the guards and not some back security detail. Maybe an APC or two and air support on standby.

  • all those troops died for oil is the true

  • Girl is pretty......and smart!

  • The agreement b/t the US and Iraq to pull the troops out has been noted already on this video post. That said though, unless you make an effort to get your facts straight, you're no better than all the other misleading bloggers on the Internet. If I were your teacher, you'd get an 'F' on this blog for incorrect facts.

  • this chick is hot!

  • The troops were pulled out at this time because the agreement with the Iraqi government that US troops would be immune to Iraqi law expired.

In other words, the Iraqi government would not agree to allow US troops to violate Iraqi law without punishment any longer. If Iraq had continued to grant immunity to the US troops, the troops would still be there.

  • Obama was just following the SOFA agreement signed by Bush, yet he and all the media praises Obama for getting the troops out of Iraq. Obama is only following the status quo of Bush. to end the status quo that is wrecking this country vote Ron Paul in 2012

  • Obama asked the Iraqi leadership to allow for continued presence of American troops, they said no. The Americans were evicted from Iraq.

  • Yet another intelligent American youth..you speak very well and should be interviewed by RT

  • @ISISMainframe Good idea! She would do great on an RT interview :D

  • @05121784 hey it's sad that RT news gives us a better view of what is going on in the US than the American MSM.

  • CIA Dictator Hussein Obama Soetoro needs those troops for his Wars in Iran, Pakistan, and 5 other nations. The Iraq War lasted over 20 years, with daily bombing from Clinton/Gore. VA says 100,000 US troops died in the Iraq War, with 1-million US troops now paid Disability.

  • You have my vote honey.

  • Visit bluerepublican . org for more information on voting in the primaries to ensure that Ron Paul is the GOP nominee.

    /watch?v=UtGRHg3a8Iw

  • @kathryndelong i liked ur vid content and u are very pretty :) keep up the good vids. i subbed

  • who the hell would dislike this?????? RON PAUL 2012

  • besides oil, we went to war with Iraq and Afghanistan AND why we also occupy Pakistan is because look at a world map!! ALL of these countries border Iran!! They have been planning to take us into war with Iran before we even went to war with Iraq!!! It's so obvious!! These people are not as stupid as they want you to believe!!

  • I'd like to go further and call it an Israel regime. Start by Googling "Obama AIPAC speech" and listen to his pledges.

  • I agree with you for the most part, but I don't agree that every nation is a "sovereign" nation.

  • Bye Bye Alexander the Great, RON THE PAUL IS HERE !!!

    CELEBRITY BLACKOUT !!!

DAMMIT BLACKOUT ALL CELEBS WHO DONT GOT BALLS TO USE THEIR CELEBRITY STATUS TO SUPPORT RON PAUL OR LET THEM SAY WHY THEY DONT SUPPORT HIM AT THE LEAST SO WE KNOW ;)

DONT WATCH THEIR STUFF EVEN IF ITS FOR FREE

THEY MADE ENUFF BUCKS OFF US THOSE STINKIN CELEBS AND NOW THEYRE SILENT?

END THE FED OR FEED THE END :(

RON WINS HEARTS NOT JUST VOTES

  • We're a long way from being out of Iraq... they plan to keep our bases there forever and keep us funding the Iraqi kleptocracy forever+.

We owe trillions to other governments, yet somehow we can afford to invade Iran now (?) Glad to see some people are waking up. Vote Ron Paul in the primary!

  • hey id vote for ron paul just for that cute look

    lol

  • thats a lie he is not bring any troops home, the war is more about just being over there its about that pipe line look it up

  • @d0ct0rd3ath The reason people like Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Boehner are getting away with insider trading is because they are Jesuits, or friends of the Jesuits, or under the protection of the Society of Jesus. These traitors do not represent Jesus. They go around doing good works of piety, but inwardly they are full of deceit and every form of sin and abomination. Beware the Sons of Loyola!! reg6(dot)com

  • why are there so many porn videos in the sidebar?

  • Also, America was founded as a republic and NOT a democracy.

  • Herman Cain worked for the Federal Reserve in Kansas City, he's about as establishment lackey as they come.

Would you rather buy a car from a slick salesman that paints a pretty picture or would you rather buy from an owner that points out all the dings?

Ron Paul is the latter, swimming in a sea of the former.

  • Politics suck.

  • Perfectly said! I vote for Ron Paul!!! I appreciate you. You are an honest person and very Wise! We need more Wise people. MIke

  • No question, Obama's wagging the dog with this withdrawal.

  • You rock. Ron Paul 2012. Cheers from Miami

  • Voting for Ron Paul in the primaries holds the same weight as voting for him in a straw poll. If you really want to see him nominated as the GOP presidential candidate, you have to become a delagate! It is the very least you could do for him. After all, he has been fighting for your liberties for decades. Take the time to learn the delagate process and show up at your precinct caucus and get nominated as a delagate. Respond to my comment if you have any questions.

  • You are awesome. That is all.

  • You go Girl! I absolutely love seeing the younger generation, that understands how wrong it is to invade other countries. For instance we had no right or reason to attack Libya. But the global elite want Libya's oil & Gaddafii wasn't selling to the U.S. He also was planning on only selling oil for gold. Well, the globalist couldn't allow that. So he had to go. Even though he loved his countrymen & gave them the highest standard of living in all of Africa. Blessing to you my friend.

  • WTF? You don't care about Kim Kardashian's divorce. Where are you're priorities woman?

  • Hot, intelligent and definitely marriage material!

To understand Ron Paul's views on the monetary system and fiscal policy, you have to understand the mechanics and ethics of free markets, and you have to know history. Most of the public is stupid which is why Ron Paul probably won't get elected.

When the dollar and economy collapses and riots occur, I actually won't feel sorry for the public. They're ignorant and will get what they deserve.

  • @FattyWalsh

    Just a little creepy dude.

  • Intelligent attractive female Ron Paul supporter FTW

  • @mjULTRA for real! so many hot Ron Paul supporters

  • And o yah, Money bomb 11 11 11.

    .

    Support the troops.

  • O yah,

    .

    Ron Paul 2012!

  • Kathryn, you and I must have babies together. We will raise these babies in the image of Ron Paul.

    .

THEN, we live happily ever after. :-)

  • Tell it sister!!

  • I didn't hear you mention the fact that Obama is bringing troops home because IRAQIS ARE KICKING US OUT.... that is conveniently left out in most media reports since it makes it look like Obama is keeping a campaign promise. That multi billion dollar embassy we built in Iraq will be staffed by an estimated 17,000 people...

  • That''s it! Marry me, Kathryn!

  • Actually, the decision to pull "most" of the troops in this year was not even made by obama. It was made by bush before obama even got into office. Obama didn't anything in his presidency, well he did play a lot of golf.. :/

  • Obama's Irag policy is a joke. It's great hes FINALLY bringing them home but nowhere near his 16 month promise. Also, there will still be private forces in Iraq supported by the US (think Blackwater oops, I mean XE Services)

  • ha ha ha, 80% of americans are stupid, they don't even know what a sovereign nation is :)...stop using words like that...you are confusing us :))) obama is cool, that's why we elect him, we don't understand his policies but hey he is cool, he has our back ...we need oil so fuck other countries!....America, fuck yeah!

  • I've been told by sources inside the US military that 15,000 US troops will stay and over 50,000 "private" contractors ......

  • Thanks for doing what you are doing and dealing with all the ignorant racist a-holes on youtube.

  • @ohara3762 Thanks. :)

  • @kathryndelong i would love to meet u irl and maybe hook up :)

  • @jrandpolitics Hey I don't know if you're ignorant or whatever, but I'm not Chinese, I'm American. The "wars" we are involved in now are not wars - they are occupations. You can't win an occupation, no matter how "strong" your military is. Herman Cain is not the answer, he's part of the problem. Vote Ron Paul in 2012.

  • @kathryndelong

    Keep up the good work!

Ron Paul 2012 (or America as we know it, is finished))

  • @kathryndelong Great Job Keep it up....RON PAUL 2012!

  • @kathryndelong As a lefty Canuck ( I can see thousands of confused Americans already. "lefty Canuck"? Isn't that redundant? Aren't they all commies up there? Which. of course makes me smile.), I had high hopes for Barack Obama. In one of the CNN YouTube Democratic Primary debates, he said he'd re-negotiate NAFTA, negotiate unconditionally with countries like Iran, North Korea and Venezuela and close Guantanamo and was broadly for pulling out of wars - "dumb wars" as he himself said long ago.

  • @kathryndelong That said, I didn't really believe him on the NAFTA front. No elected "mainstream" Democrat has been against NAFTA in a long while. But the rest seemed very possible. All that is to say that if I were a United States citizen and the choice was between Ron Paul and Barack Obama, I'd vote for your guy Ron Paul. Good luck!

  • @kathryndelong Now while I don't disagree with you, I will not be voting for Ron Paul, for one reason. He agrees, to disagree, with the separation of state and church. As an Atheist, this is a major problem.

  • @SupahJeezus and why is it a problem ,and as a non believer myself ,i dont give a damn ,nothing will change when we always got a right.

  • @kathrydelong Every politician is a theist. Why cherry pick ?

  • @kathryndelong hahaha well played :) started watching your vids. Kinda wish all Americans had even half the intellect you have!

  • @jrandpolitics Herman Cain lol you must not know that Herman Cain was apart of the Fed in Kansas...you must not know that Herman Cain wants to draw freedom of religion from people....Stupid People are ruining America and Herman Cain is one of them...these are not wars they are setting up a military martial law for all over....look it up America 1913 <---where it all began

  • @jrandpolitics 2007 GAO report shows that by 2040, nearly every dollar the government collects in taxes will be needed for Social Security, Medicare, and paying interest on the national debt (search "The Nation’s Long-Term Fiscal Outlook April 2007 Update" on GAO site). Cain will piss away money on the military to the point that not only will we all be tax slaves by 2040, there won't be 1 single penny left for defense. Check out MY article: "Ron Paul 2012? The Stars are finally in Alignment"

  • @jrandpolitics Funny how I try to stick up for the GOP when libs call them all racists, maybe I need to stop defending them?

  • @jrandpolitics I agree we need a strong millitary, and the way to make it stronger is to bring them home and let them protect us instead of doing all of this nation building. If Herman Cain wins we will just be in more wars and never get out of debt because cain is in the back pocket of the federal reserve, and war is good business for them. P.S. The young lady looks American to me. Americans come in many different packages. That was very racist for you to say that.

  • @jrandpolitics I lol'd....I'm still lolling.....still..... ok I'm done....XD

  • @jrandpolitics

Moronic statements like yours are whats wrong with America. People like you should kill yourself to save America.

  • @jrandpolitics

Ok, I get it, I got trolled. You win

  • @jrandpolitics well now that Herman Cain dropped out you just look dumber and I don't even know how that is possible. Anyways I hope you're supporting Ron Paul now.

  • @jrandpolitics Herman Cain? Can that guy even read?

  • I wonder how many U.S. soldiers died from the time Obummer got elected until he FINALLY decided to pull some of them out?? VERY sad that he is using the withdrawl as a RE ELECTION SCHEME again how many lives would have been saved if he had KEPT HIS promise early on and pulled out od IRAQ in 2008??

  • thanks for making this video!! you present a mature voice for the movement, and the more voices, the better to represent liberty.

  • So so beautiful.

Anyway id like to add the war in Libya is supposedly over(and most likely is), and theyre claiming victory. With only over 3000 people killed! Isnt that great. They wanted to save civilians from dying under oppression and killed over 3000 doing it. The war was started under the guise of protecting citizans yet theres no mention of that on tv. Instead theyre talking about how great it is that Gaddafi is no longer in power. Not forgetting they had 100 other peaceful alternatives

  • Obama will be expanding troop presence throughout the middle east.. yep this country is in the shitter.

  • I'm hispanic 21 and i am voting for Ron Paul :) come on hispanic people wake up and vote for Ron Paul.

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • how can you stand living and studying among these retarded fellow students?

  • The Administration wanted to keep troops in Iraq. It was the Iraqi government that refused to renew the immunity to our troops. So we basically get kicked out, it wasn't at all Obama's choice or preference, the Democrats hail it as a campaign promise kept, and the Republicans call it a poor choice by this administration. That is how we are spun in the USA.

  • Amen sister!

  • i love this girl(kathryn).. but i love more Ron!

Don't forget to register Gop to vote for Ron!

  • People need to know some hard core history: Watch clip titled:

US is a Corporation, not a Country. Got a problem with that?

  • Well stated. Thanks for the video.

  • The only reason Hilary Clinton did not get the nomination is because she voted for the war on Iraq due to wrong intelligence. Obama got elected because he has not had much dirty laundry. Ron Paul never changed his stance over the past 30 years.

  • Very good video. You make some pretty interesting points, but I'm actually more impressed with how you handle some of your critics.

  • Ma'am, hate to break it to you, but Paul will bring no better solutions to the table. All western politics is, is lies to get into office and more lies to make war seem prettier. But like it or not, the U.S. will ALWAYS be in a war whether the news lets you hear it or not. Trust me, this is coming from a guy who's been there. My suggestion is, if you hate war that much,is to move to a country that doesn't have the strongest military power and itchy government trigger fingers.

  • @mercturd85 Are you hopeless?

Not me. I served and proudly rejected Unconstitutional orders, after discovering my assets were oil assets. I came out honorably and without a scratch. Perhaps, there are just too many cowards running amok.

  • @mercturd85 I don't think you "get" it.

  • @CindyVision Wow, thank you for going into so much detail, it really helps get your point across and makes you look well educated, too.

  • MrChannel5news = sexist. nuff said

  • Cool channel, keep it up!

  • facebook made more changes than obama.

  • For the sake of this nation: Ron Paul 2012

  • I strongly recommend watching: money as debt, freedom to fascism, ring of power, 911 mysteries, viberation creates form, behold a pale horse, 2012 enigma, Jim Marrs the 4th reich, the polarity matrix field, Graham Hancock - Quest for the Lost Civilization ,Red Ice TV - Episode 4 - Symbolism in Logos, Indigenous Native American Prophecy, Michael Badnarik's Constitution Class 1 of 43, Consuming Kids:The Comercialisation of Children, Fluoride Deception Part 1, Are You a Sovereign Yet...

  • Ron Paul? Really guys? He's in 5th place in the polls. Give it up.

  • its not pronounced "I"-RAQ

  • god, lovely to see a girl not being one more of those loony lefties...

  • agreed

  • Stop telling the truth the slaves wont keep giving away all their money , aaaaah!

  • @MrChannel5news Oh. Hi. Do you know anything about analytical reasoning? I suggest you read up on logical fallacies. Then perhaps you would know that everything you just said is an ad hominem attack and has absolutely no argumentative value. I agree that the War in Iraq should be blamed on Bush, as well. Just because I didn't say "BLAME BUSH" in that 3 minute video doesn't mean I don't think it's true. As I said, Obama is the commander-in-chief. He has the power to end the wars now.

  • @kathryndelong Isnt that what you just stated he did...lol idiot oh and let me mention something to you...once you start a war....you dont leave if you dont finish it.

  • @MrChannel5news Bush no longer has the power to end/start wars, so let's stop blaming him. You also made some sort of ignorant, racist comment. It's 2011. Isn't it time to stop those silly name-calling games? I am proud of who I am and where I come from. I'm sorry that you lack dignity, values & morality and have to stoop so low.

  • @MrChannel5news Yes, you can. Obama said the FIRST thing he was going to do when he got into office was pull the troops out of Iraq. Also, stop calling me names... it's really unbecoming & makes you seem extremely unintelligent. Just saying.

  • @kathryndelong Yeah and hes ending it thats a start BUUUUTTTTT i was saying before once bush started the war he couldnt just like that end it. anyways.... ron paul isnt going to win...stop this nonsense you dont even know why youre voting for him...you dont know shit about politics......get back to your kitchen before a man slaps you up

  • @MrChannel5news Your use (or misuse) of the English language is sufficient to discredit you. Go back to watching daytime TV or call your probation officer or spraypaint a building. Just stop abusing English in public.

  • @badnovelist289 misuse/abusing english???? lol how about getting a social life or a hobbie...you speak pure nonsense and that is sufficient to tell you that YOU ARE A DUMBASS 8D

  • @MrChannel5news I am sure there are adult literacy programs in your neighbourhood where you can take courses such as "expand your vocabulary in 30 days", and, with like-minded souls, discuss the metaphysical profundities of "Who Moved My Cheese". In the meantime, the supremely lovely kathryndelong can continue declaiming her concise and penetrating essays in libertarianism, to the delight of the general public. Someday, if you study hard and do not swallow your crack pipe, you might get it.

  • @MrChannel5news Hey Knucklehead, Yes we can! Bush in his ignorance sent our forces over there, and The Kenyan dude, in his devious incompetence, can bring them home. He has the power. He just doesn't have the will and the commonsense

  • @badnovelist289 Kenyan dude??? Haha cool story bro. How about you gain some braincells before commenting alright. Ahah, oh man

  • @MrChannel5news Sure you can. The Commander-in-Chief can and should halt operations and pull troops back. 70% of our troops agree. As for your racist comment... way to be immature and lacking any strength as a man.

    Man up, jackass.

  • @MrChannel5news So you call Bush an idiot when he didn't bring them back before getting out of office, but then defend Obama when he claims he is going to do it 8 years later?

  • @mercturd85 what??? thats not what i said you misunderstood......man go read a book i hate trying to reteach dumbasses like yourself

  • @MrChannel5news I should read a book.

    1) You use simple insults I used to use in 4th grade to seem cool.

    2) What you said either to her or to me has no real backbone, or argument at all, just insults and racial slurs.

    3) That is what you said, you said Bush is to be blamed for the war, but when she questions why Obama took as long as he did, you stated that you cannot end a war on a dime, as you were insulting Bush for not doing. Hypocracy at it's finest.

  • @mercturd85 K cockfagot...lets clear up your stupidness...

    1) IM IN THE 4TH GRADE COCKFAGGOT

    2) The argument i stated was indeed a response to her idiotic reasons......so fuck you again cockfaggot

    3) EXACTLY ....so fuck you double on that you cockfaggot dumbass

    COOL STORY BROSKI 8)

  • @MrChannel5news Woah, calm down, buddy, your scaring me. I'd have no clue what I'd do if a big and bad internet tough guy with a fowl mouth said any of this to a ex Ranger and Special Forces Operator like myself.

  • @mercturd85 You wouldnt do shit and you would shut your stupid mouth because youre just some fat cockfaggot that is stuffing mcdonalds up his ass while playing world of warcraft.......

  • @MrChannel5news Your insults are hilarious, keep it up. This is no sarcasm.

  • @MrChannel5news

You're and asshole dude, you must be 14 years old and or retarded.

  • @kathryndelong Bush gave us the TSA body scanners and set up the POLICE STATE. Three strikes you are out for POT what a joke the bush family is the largest drug cartel family in the world. Iran Contra Bush one was the mastermind behind 9/11 a total military coup. Veteranstoday can open your eyes. BUSH is a CHICKEN HAWK and is responsible for thousands of lives.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrChannel5news Congratulations! You have just revealed yourself as a racist, a fool, and an ignoramus in front of thousands. First of all, Obama has the same executive powers Bush had. Therefore, he could bring our soldiers home now if he wanted to.

  • @MrChannel5news typical progressive.

  • @rickster348 very much indeed

  • @MrChannel5news idiot... get a life, loser...

  • He didn't call the troops back cuz he wanted someone dead. I think we all know who that one person is.

  • OMG....Cute Brainiack...hitting the subscribe button now! :-))

  • News isn't reporting that our troops are losing their immunity to Iraqi law after this year. How would they continue combat operations if they were held to the local laws? Of course Obama's ending the war! Why is the immunity issue not being reported more heavily in mainstream media???

  • Yep. Syria and Iran or next. Now Obama can play the part of a peace candidate and those same idiots you mentioned on twitter will actually believe it.

Your vids are great. Ive only seen like 3 and I already am willing to get down on one knee for you. ha

  • The Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) between Iraq and the U.S. was agreed to in Nov. 2008. The SOFA requires U.S. combat forces to be out by 12/31/11.

Obama is spinning this to make it appear as if he is upholding a campaign promise - He is not. The Obama administration pressed Iraq to renew an agreement, but the sticking point was continued immunity from Iraqi law for U.S. personnel. Iraq refused to extend the immunity (imagine why).

Iraq said GTFO, but you'll never hear Obama admit that.

  • 15,000 are staying
