While I'm sure Red looks great, it can't possibly be as good as, or better than 35mm film. Comparing digital video to film is like comparing a high-end phono turntable to an Ipod. One plays continuous, smooth, analog sound, the other plays fast blips of sound. No comparsion. If I had the $30K to buy a Red I think I'd rather spend that money on renting a 35mm Panavision camera package. Film give us the best cinema. Comments welcome.

Arin--oh how I enjoy your work. This video blog is so your style. I would have never watched the Sundance Channel on You Tube if I didn't know you and Susan were doing it. The RED camera will be great, no doubt. But it won't be twice the resolution of 35mm. It will be the digital equivalent of S35mm. After you go into post and crop you'll probably be dealing with a solid 35mm size. I can't wait.

I don't want to sound silly but this vid fucking rocks!! I wish I was there, film fest are one of the greatest things in the world. Where I live we only get one a year, but its still like the second biggest in Africa (Nollywood is a force like you can't even imagin!!)
