Damn this is a great song. I like the minimalistic production and the lyrics are wickedly good. I seem to remember that there was some controversy over the verse about 'Michael' as it was commonly assumed to refer to Michael Jackson. Also I think the group later had to drop Timex from their name as it was unauthorised use of a company's trade name.

Timex Social Club and Club Nouveau are two DIFFERENT groups. The only link between the two is Producer Jay King. King was the man responsible for the hit Roumors. When TSC failed to have another hit, he decided to create a new group originally called Jet Set. The name was changed to Club Nouveau (New Club) to pull in TSC fans. TSC came first Club Nouveau second.
