Mac Mcanally is standing there singing backup. One of the most underappreciated artists ever. Nancy and John Prine in concert together... on of my top 5 concerts ever.
Been a BIG fan of hers for a loooonnnggg time,LOL! First time I ever seen her was Austin City Limits....mid 80's I think with "Daddy Said"....was hook'd right then, Haha!
I think the music industry really shot themselves in the foot not give'n her any recognition....back then,if you did"nt know about her or her music.....never know where to find/listen for it.....an outstand'n talent, for sure!
Ah, wasn't she young back then ( weren't we all ? ) ? And didn't she look country ?
But, and more importantly, what DID that male back-up singer have on his head ?
Is it true that was the groundhog that looks out of his hole every spring to see its' shadow, or was this the legendary beast that was caught and transplanted onto Donald Trump's head ?
I absolutely love this tune....its the one that sold me on Nanci YEARS ago! I have seen her 5 times in concert tho...and she has never done this one! Nice to see a live performance!
Awesome, awesome, awesome !!!!!!!!! -----
one of the greatest singers of all time singing one of the greatest tunes of all time
(A Patrick Alger tune) definitely in the Top 100 songs of all time IMHO LOL etc...
wonderful relaxed and unpolished feel here, for example love the opening shot where
Philip Donnelly is caught off guard temporarily, and when Nanci comes in a half second late
on "just saw John Wayne on the late late show..."
Thank you so much for this!

One of my favorite Nanci Griffith songs - I was so in love with Nanci back in the 80s.
"I'd be there tomorrow if I left today."
