  • Kyser has a banjo capo. Some people like it better than the Shubb capo since you can use it with only one hand.

  • thanks for uploading this it is so helpful!

  • Thanks to your tutorial, I can play this nice song now! =D

  • first string E??

  • great tutorial, but please tune your guitar next time, makes it very hard to play along.

  • Hello, good job but your accordage is in standard ?

  • Where do I put my fingers at 5:00?

  • @iiDinnosauriss 10th fret on the first string

  • Hey i really want to learn this song :) thanks for postin it. In the 8 parts, how much of the song do you teach? to you show the whole song or just parts of it? thanks :)

  • Thanks you dude!!! You are real goliath!! Respect you so much !

  • Respect for going to all this effort for free, iam learning your drifting tutorial and will jump on this as soon as iam done, do you read by the way?

  • @strabbs1 random question but yeah i read sometimes. why, do i sound illiterate?

and good luck finding my drifting tutorial btw lol

  • @G0liath1012 i think he meant read sheet music lol

  • Thanks for teaching me the first half! It was so helpful

You should come out with the 2nd half of the song! :)

  • First part down =).

  • Sorry, dint visit your channel :)

  • Awesome! The tutorial is really useful, have also followed your "For My Father" tutorial.

Hey, can you upload tutorial for "Flower" by Andy McKee? Really nice composition by Masaaki Kishibe, played by Andy McKee. Would be great if you are able to share! Thanks :)

  • porra para de fala muito

  • this is really good mate, very well made very informative. five stars.

  • Great tip with the banjo capo! I've been looking for partial capo for ages and they are really hard to get your hands on as the stores don't sell them anymore. Thats because there is a slight possibility that they harm the frets because the pressure which were meant for a whole fret is instead divided over half the fret. Im gonna try with a banjo capo or else I will saw of a bit of a regular capo. Wonderful tutorials btw.

  • excellent tutorial!! Thank you vermy much for this tutorial, you made it possible for thousands of others to play this wonderful song too! You are great!

  • He sounds like Bear Grylls

  • I guess i'll just tune to the video. no worries.

  • I used your tuning video. you're guitar is out of tune. makes it extremely hard to play along.

  • Thank your for your tutorial.! It is amazing.!

I've postet the result after practising a part of it on my profile.!

thank you thank you thank you.!!

    Cheerio Sc4.!

  • thanks a lot bro....your tutoria is really helpfull....,thank you for taking your time to help with this,,,!!!!!!!!!....:)

  • thanks for taking the time to make this!! it's very helpful and awesome. rock on dude

  • I wish your guitar was tuned properly....

  • Thanks dude - Ive been thru your Rhylynn tutorial successfully (not perfect but a decent standard so far) and would love to get the rest of it done if you get a chance to post the rest up. I do have the tab but find it much easier to learn this way. Obv a visual learner.

  • Hey man! fantastic videos! Could you possibly try to learn and make lessons for Never grow old by Andy mckee aswell? That would be awsome! :)

  • you can buy a half capo or somtimes you can just turn the normal capo up side down...just staying

  • PLEASE make the last part of the song.. I suck at tabs, and this tutorial was awesome to learn by..

  • i actually took a dunlop capo and sawed it off so it would end between the second and third strings, works like a charm, had to shave a bit off to make it perfect. DONT OVER SAW IT

  • Dude, i have exactly the same guitar as you!!

  • Noooo!!!!! I dont have a partial capo!!! FML

  • wicked vids dude... I'm going to get started on this song with my 12 string now that i can do drifting with my eyes closed on the 12 string, Hopefully i can master it because it's such a beautiful piece of music

  • whoever stops watching these videos because they give up , DONT FUCKING GIVE UP, if your still a beginner go play for a few months and come back to this song, this is like one of the only videos that are a tutorial of rylynn, its a good fucking song dont give up

  • i just reversed my regular capo. the back side was shorter and with some tape it work

  • @MattPurkis thanks for the tip it works great :)

  • @MrPeterB00th no prob :)

  • U can play it on a classical guitar with a regular capo

  • Do you have any tabs, awsome tutoral :)

  • Cant thank you enough..

  • it's not about being perfect. link said how to play rylynn, but you talk too much. shorten what you have to say and go on with what the link says...

  • you talk too much.......

  • At first I thought he had a stopwatch on his lap because he kept looking at it in the beginning like he was going to run out of time lol. Nice vid though dude

  • what does he do at 6:56? he says the 10th from the second sting but he plucks two notes there and then moves to the twelft on the1st string..so hes only telling us to play 2 notes but he plays 3 >,< from 6:56 to 7:00...did any1 else notice it?

  • @iZenZation Shit! my mistake..scratch that...i was plucking the 3rd string on the 10th fret not the 2nd.aww boy ive been on the 1st video for about half an hour..this is totally beating me..hmm well think it's because i cant play loudly cuz every1s sleeping but awwwwww this songs so perfect i must learn it correctly so imma keep going =) ill shut up now xD

  • its dadgad..not ECDGAD

  • @MrPratik182 I just noticed..Hes really right with rylynns tuning...i thought it was DADGAD too cuz i heard andy saying it but DADGAD is for drifting..so Gareth really got this well.. and he did a helluva nice job here! I love there's a tuto for rylynn, it tells you that you can find anything in here..

  • @MrPratik182 It's ok, ECDGAD from low to hight

  • @MrPratik182 Is it hell!! Go to andymckee d o t com Community>Misc section>The Official Tunings Post. It`s there from the man himself. ECDGAD.

  • This tutorial is amazing! You make it so much easier

  • he's got huge arms! :O 2:48

  • its weird how you made rylynna lmost a EZ song\

  • @batmman08 it sounds daunting when you listen to the whole song. When you break it down into a series of 3 or 4 note sequences they're individually not too difficult. So the way to learn is by learning the 'bite size' sections and then stringing them together into in the right order.

That's all i'm showing you, the rest is all down to you and it's just practice pratice practice. Good luck

  • @G0liath1012 very true there are so many songs that seemed unattainable at first to me. But, with practice and determination, anything is possible

  • Hey GOliath, Thanks so much for taking the time to post these excellent lessons! You do a great job and I could never have learned this tune without your help. Those of us who know enough about playing guitar to appreciate the details you've shared are very grateful!

  • OMG IM FUCKING PLAYING RYLYNN! OHHHH MYYYY GOOOODDDDD

  • shut up you idiots, you're watching it arent you?

i think its very good, and if he talks that much its because maybe its soomething useful and good to know

  • have anyone told you that you talk way to much brow

  • man all of the video is talking.i mean what are discriptions below for???!!!!

  • I like to learn things by myself, becasue I feel like getting much more out of it that way, but this is a very great tutorial. It will teach them who hasnt learned it yet.. those who thinks that he's talking way too much: you're not capable of learning guitar, patience is the most important virtue here.

  • a tip for those who do not have a banjo capo :

if u have a guitar capo whose back side is small and front side is long

twist it and fix it so you can press the top four strings otherwise ur capo will bounce of like a rocket if u put the long side on the four strings . try it

  • @knighthawk095 depends on what type of capo u have!!i use mine with the long side pressing the top 4 strings!!works well!! =)

  • @memomoncayo Go to Andy's website, andymckee dot_com, and find the forum under 'Community' on the top of the page. Then navigate to the 'Misc' section. You will find a thread titled 'The original tunings thread'. Everything you'll ever need is in there.

  • Anyone know this tune the guitar in this song?

  • @memomoncayo I know right? You'd think that with the long-ass intro, he'd mention the tuning. Seems like standard, but I wanted to know the tuning also, but he doesn't mention it.

  • @johncraig1379 Errrm, that`s maybe what the link in the top right corner of the vid, named "click here to tune your guitar", is for, or maybe the same link in the description? Then again, if you think that sounds like standard then maybe you shouldn`t bother wasting your time.

  • @johncraig1379 i mentioned it 14 seconds into the video. In fact, It's the first thing i talk about....

if you can't hold concentration for 14 seconds then i wouldn't bother with the hour long tutorial... lmao

    #fail

  • Nice Job! What kind of tuning are you using?

  • @LookAtMyComputer Well, lets see your rendition of this tune then. No? Thought not. Oh, and just in case your brain cell missed it, T.H.I.S I.S A T.U.T.O.R.I.A.L.

  • i had it until 7:00

    IM SO CONFUSED.

  • Thanks you so much : ) Check out my cover.

  • i gotta smoke.. i'll be right back.. and i will watch this video.. :) my F.ing ex wants me to play this song for her.. argh

  • I just picked up the same capo. It's made by Shubb and is the model C5 for banjo.

    It cost me $24.95 US.

  • Thank you for posting this video lesson G0liath1012. How do you like your Simon & Patrick guitar? I've been looking into purchasing one and they seem very nice. Thanks.

  • hello, a question that I tune my guitar tone to play this melody, very good video thanks.

  • lol coppo

    sorry...i'm immature.

  • Execlent tutorial dude. Helped me alot.

  • god damnnn i wonna learn now but my dads asleep and im ment to be asleep

    mate

dont listen to the hate comments there watching to learn your teaching them if they cant listen and cant be arsed to listen they shouldnt be tryin to learn this amazing riff :) your tutorials are great

    f*** all the haters :D

  • 1 guy ate a bad krabby patty

  • First of all thanx very much for the tutorial man it's epic, very clear and concise your time is very much appreciated.

@the general public: The guy can say whatever he wants if he decides to take the time to tell you how his breakfast went you should take the time and be THANKFUL he's given his time to improve you!!!!! If you can take the time to moan about the guy explaining something for ANY given time then your living proof the world is f*****. Take a look around you. It's your fault.

  • Shut up and play! > Thanks

  • good job dude, awesome tutorial as always. in my opinion, the talking at the start is very useful, so dont listen to the hate comments =) looking forward to the rest of the tutorials!

  • @tepukethundermoaris thanks dude, I think the people who dont have the patience to sit through 4:35 of an intro speech to a tutorial that's almost an hour long should find another hobby. I'm thinking they should stick to the xbox

  • @G0liath1012 right on brother, guitar hero it up lol, no strings attatched

  • @G0liath1012 sir are you using shubb banjo capo??? is that really fits

  • @G0liath1012 absolutely : people are jerks . Because your intro speech was useful .Btw , the lesson is awesome !

  • @G0liath1012 i said btw because i think you already know it's awesome (nevermind , late night and so ... )

  • @G0liath1012 True that. Really good tutorial man so far, I'm looking forward to learning with the rest of them.

  • it took me nearly 45 minutes to play this without a mistake and up to speed

  • i love your guitar lessons, please upload more lessons from Andy Mckee for example Africa or make Newton Faulkner guitar lessons please! greetings from germany ! very great playing (sry 4 my bad english) :)

  • @Haladir1989 y africa would be great!! i've benn looking for good tutorials for quite a long time, but ther's nothing helpful on youtube...

  • Tooo looong! don`t talk so much dude :P

  • What tuning it is????????-.-

  • what i hate from tutorial video is sometimes the tutor talks too much -_- but i hope this video hepls me :)

  • this is a very good tutorial series. you are quite good and i do not dislike your playing. however...i do believe that while you may be in the correct tuning (your strings tuned relative to each other)....your guitar as a whole is in a different key. i played along with andy's video, then tried playing along with yours and although you played it right, your guitar is definitely right. other than that, great job, mate!!! :D
