  • Yes, Cinelerra on Fedora 7. A Shure SM-57 microphone, Mackie 1402 mixer and MAudio MobilePre USB audio interface.

  • I had used xvidcap a long time ago and I remember it being sufficient for the job. However, I've been using Cinelerra for the past few years and remembered it had a screencapture feature which I never used. So, I thought I'd figure out screen capture in Cin and teach everybody else at the same time.

    :)

    And yes, that music is great fun. It's actually from some '70s game show. I guess now I'll get sued or asked to take my vid. :(

  • Nice to see this tutorial - didn't know that GNU/Cinelerra was able to do screencasts.

    Did you try xvidcap or istanbul as well?
