I have whiteheads around my eyes and on my cheeks. They are soo annoying I hate them. How do I get rid of them? I really don't want to pop them cuz I DONT want scars. Helpp!!
I have alot of scars on my face now, because i did exactly what she said popped them out with that metal rod and it ended up with a red scar!! :( HELPPPPP
@skyhightiger use vitamin e or bio oil on it, they help lighten scars. also, if it's a new scar, it may just be red because it's still healing, and may fade in a while.
@skyhightiger hello, if the metal rod isn't sterilized properly, its gonna leave a scar, make sure you wear gloves and your face is washed properly (use a sponge wet it with slightly hot water). Calamansi should help lighten the scar, it takes time though but it works, it has bleaching effect but be careful because it dries up skin so make sure you put moisturizer after applying it. =)
@skyhightiger In addition to what ritz1622 said, also ask your dermatologist about chemical peeling. It'll remove that damaged layer of skin from your face so that a new fresh layer can row in, but the new skin will be extra sensitive so try not to go out in the sun.
@babycookies15 Actually, smart people understand the systems at play and how healing works. They then pop it in a fashion to circumvent what usually happens, which is scarring.
I do not get the whole extractor tool thing. If it is so close to surface that one of those will work, then you did not need it.

i love the satisfying feel of popping whiteheads kind of like watching a volcano erupt and the town at the base being flooded with pus

Whiteheads don't have pus-filled pockets (like this doctor said) - those are called pustules. Whiteheads are non-inflammed and contained sebum.
