Usually such comments are made by trolls. Idiots who crave any attention and since they cannot get positive attention, they get off on bad negative attention and act as jackasses.

Thats a very old art form. I have seen some like that from the 1800's that where fantastic. If your ever around old books, check out the ones with gilded edges, you may find a lot more.

im sure it small amounts of ink on the edge of each page that when fanned correctly creates the image.
i wonder what each individual page looks like. is the ink noticeable? if so how much?

in theory, i guess u could just bend the pages and paint, but im sure theres a much more sophisticated way.
