This season Michael seems to only think of himself in the prison. He doesn't trust Whistler, Bellick, T-Bag (ok, I understand that). the only ones he can actually trust is Mahone, they know each other even before they come to Sona together, and Mahone really tries to gain Michael's trust, he want's to see his family just like Michael. They are very alike each other actually.
