Kamui pulled off a great pass at this spot in F1 this year and I've never seen anyone pass their before. Mighty impressive. Petrov is a fast driver but he can be quite dangerous in traffic as we have seen plenty of times.

The interesting thing about the current F1 drivers in this race, Kobayashi, Petrov, and Maldonado is that Kobayashi was by far the worst of them in GP2 while they were all racing against each other in 2008 and 2009. Petrov and Maldonado were fairly even in GP2 but Petrov has had the upper hand this year in F1 while Maldonado has struggled. Even with this incident I think Petrov and Kobayashi are good friends now.

@mvphrase Petrov was more unlucky in GP2 with crashes than in F1. He was taken out in the crash at Monza 2008 as well, very unlucky to be part f it

No it is not anymore and Alonso already told this once. Kubica has never been in GP2... yet he was nine times on F1 podium including one win.

Petrov and Kubica will be together on team while Petrov will learn F1 a bit from Kubica.

RK could never afford to be in GP2 - too much sponsor money is involved in that. He came to F1 winning World Series by Reanult.

It may not be the most important route to F1, but it is the series from which most drivers graduate, about 14 drivers on the 2010 grid came through either F3000 or GP2, that speaks for itself.

Almost every race has been shown this year, but the times are crazy, much like F1, so its difficult to catch them if you live in the states.

Yea I live in canada and I am an open wheel nut too. I know what you're going through. I would love to watch a gp2 race but it;s before the f1 race and f1 races here are shown at like 3 and 6 in the morning lol.
