i am confused by this movie, was it that heath ledger died while making this movie so johnny depp had to step in?

@tlsgurl Yes, I think it was during a break in filming, where Health Ledger died of drug overdose in his hotel room. After a while they decided to finish film in dedication to Heath Ledger. Originally it was only planned for one actor to replace his scenes, but Gilliam came up with the idea of Tony transforming himself and eventually replaced him with Colin Farrell, Johnny Depp and Jude Law who donated their earnings to Heath's daughter....
