  • Not stupid..if he has the money and it is his hobby more power to him.

  • i can feel how the man bought the sword why laugh he spend 16k$ on a sowrd game but atleast he didnt put it all to a tv show like u, you 2 stupid and tha b1tch ima stick my nut to ya mouth

  • these to f4gget are retarded haha

  • if you ever paid for a sports ticket then you are the exact same, you paid for entertainment, and if you paid for a better seat you are NO different...

  • @MrProset $16,000 worth of crazy.

  • Comment removed

  • Can you tell the difference between a Hyundai and a Mercedes? Why yes, yes you can....

  • i think this is just a setup by the company itself.

  • Apparently, a third of your viewers are gamers.

  • There better be a million dollar online tournament.

  • hopeless nerds lmao

  • Both snail and this game group may know this. While to say to the media they will let them use the word like "a man". In my opinion, better use "a group" to instead of it.

eg. This game group may spend 48,000d on this game. And the 16,000d is only part of it.

So ordinary people better not follow this. It's a trick.

  • Actually i think it's not paid by a man. It's paid by a game group called "love the game" who has the cooperation with snail. It's a kind of propoganda like media hype.

  • There's huge tournaments for some games, Ana.. you should know. You were an underground gamer, weren't you?

  • If he pay 16k, he have the money for it, so let him buy his freaking sword

  • @hiws1

You fail to see no one is stopping the dude from getting the virtual content... we're just saying its kinda if not very sad.

  • @RepublicAgent Not really, and it's not sad, people buy a painting for 500k why not buy a sword you can have fun with?

  • @hiws1

I'll tell you exactly why, the values/properties are off. I have no doubt in my mind that 16,000 could have gone to something more productive.

If you bring up a 500k painting and a 16k sword in a video game, seems awfully selfish to me. Indulge yourself while that money, both 500k and 16k, could have changed lives. As long as you have a painting and a sword made of pixels.

I don't know... priorities seem horribly off and I find that sad.

  • @RepublicAgent You sound like someone trying to save the world

  • meanwhile in africa childrens starving and this nerd with this stupid sword :epicfacepalm:

  • @sociobalto0

Teach African men having sex with virgins will cure their AIDS and you probably wouldn't have thousands of bastard children running around sponging off of every country that isn't third-world to keep all their bastard children from starving.

  • @WarzolJR

*won't. that was a terrible typo, lol

  • @GrandmasterBBC What you fail to realise is how much his character will be worth if the game proves popular.

  • DLC is getting ridiculous.

  • @GrandmasterBBC either a really rich guy or an asian!!!!

  • Off topic: Ana Looks so much better when she has her hair down. Also she's looking really thin and pale. Is she okay?

  • i have a virtual pork sword for that hot bitch

  • propaganda to sell the game, i didnt knew the game and im a MMORPG player.

  • @SmokeBox

Darn, I guess if I was a little bit more nerdy and checked comments section more often I would have seen a nice little rage post here, but alas, comment has been removed :-(

  • What if he doesnt like the game?

  • Lol. The make a living on the internet. They shouldnt be making fun of people living on the internet...

  • Relax liberals. Him spending $16,000 on a virtual sword doesn't reduce the food, medicine, and water supply in the planet. He merely transferred cash to someone else. That doesn't make other people worse off.

  • I'm playing runescape for the first time in months while watching this

  • The top comments have better commentary/reasoning than the hosts. Thumbs up if you think im right.

  • *Crocodile Dundee accent* "You think that's an awesome infinity +1 sword aye.. Well this is a gun." "Wa sikta".

  • Maybe it's a really big sword and you can sell advertising on it, then its an investment.

  • he probably is just a rich asian dude that has so much money they spend it on bullshit like this. If he isn't though I would agree that he is totally insane though

  • The point is not in it's "non-existance" but in that it's pointless to buy shit in a game with non-game money, that wasn't earned in the game, that's basically cheating and therefore no fun.

  • virtual vs imaginary, learn the difference.... fat idiot

  • @robertha Please define the difference for us.

From my perspective, Virtual exists within an fictional world that is hosted on a server (computer). Imaginary exists within an fictional world that is hosted within the mind of an individual or group.

Taking this into consideration, Imaginary is just as real as virtual, if not more (within the context of fictional worlds or the swords that exist therein. If you get onto Virtual Machines, e.g. VMWare that's an entire different kettle of fish".)

  • TYT jealous of ballers, go home and stfu poor ass mother fuckers

  • @robertha how do you know his a baller?

  • @robertha I really wouldnt consider someone who spends $16,000 on a virtual sword a baller..

Actually I dont even know how that would make any sense.

  • @robertha Dude if your trying to justify a $16,000 purchase of a non-existent object with 0% practical or real world application then maybe you should take your own advice and STFU. That aint no baller. That's a dumb c*. End Of This.

  • @horusofoz im sorry you dont have money to throw away poor guy. you need to experience spending tons of money to understand who is a baller and who isnt. make some baller friends, drive some baller cars, and throw some baller parties, youll understand. I hope you understand that china has more than 1 million millionaires...and growing...GET MONEY!

  • @robertha you sound like one of those guys who just go "wow you have a nice car!!" lookin at a bmw or some shit

  • @robertha hang out with one of these guys for your birthday and you'll understand where im coming from....$387,988 dinner bill for some cake and drinks

    h t t p : / / i41 . photo bucket . com / albums / e258 / perfect10exotics /l4p%20uploads / receipt . j p g

  • @robertha You could have used a link shortner there!

On topic: i believe this guy is making a big favor for the game, since the money is goint to be invested at some point (and who said he didn't do it as a donation?!)

You also have to take into consideration that this game has one of the most powerful and accurate chinese fantasy world there is! It's quite easy to see why some knuckleheads with zero history behind(like americans) would say something like the TYT say here!

  • @corpsus1

Thinking Americans all think alike is pure idiocy. America is just as split on every issue as every country is. Don't believe me? Watch MSNBC news for an hour, than watch the FOX news channel for an hour. You don't see me going around saying everyone from the UK has terrible teeth and swallows their toothpaste just because I know a handful of people who do. There is a reason people don't generalize. Doing so just makes you look uneducated and closed-minded.

  • @WarzolJR Not all of them think alike on all issues. Just on this one.

But on a serious note now, because they were raised in a certain way, they lack some finesse when it comes to more sensitive subjects. Of course here we have some peoples that probably never played a MMO in their life, and still comment on the subject like they had!

PS: i don't care how i look, since i know how i am. i try to balance the troll part of me, with the wise one.

  • @horusofoz 16k is fuckin nothing, thats 1 months work

  • @robertha Are you seriously bragging about being rich on youtube ? How incredibly out of touch do have to be in order to ignore the fact that half of the entire U.S. population lives off of less than 34k a year? You're an idiot, plain and simple.

  • @eagles980 rich? who says im rich? what is your definition of rich? i worked for all my money, and i can spend it on stupid shit if i want to, electric is only $1000 a month, food costs $300-400 a month, gas is $200 a month, clothing is $100 every 6 months of so, insurance is $1500 every 6 months, now that all the necessities are paid for, I can drop 16k on a virtual sword if I wanted too, what else do i fuckin spend money on you fuckin fool

  • @robertha FYI

Could you spam the comment section any more? You write like a child.

  • @eagles980 34k is enough for a sports car and healthy food to sustain a brilliant life, you fuck

  • @eagles980 34k a year is called no education, straight out of college kids can make up to 40k entry positions, 10 years experience can make you 80k, where the fuck do you live?

  • @robertha

I'm graduating this quarter. I'm graduating with a 2-year degree, because it was all I could afford while working 2 jobs and going to school full time because my parents make too much money to qualify for financial aid of any kind. The entry-level positions in my field are starting out at around 25k/year, not 34k, and certainly not 40. You can be making 100k/year after 6 years if you get lucky. Pay is so varied for different lines of work, that you shouldn't generalize.

  • @eagles980 if americans choose to be fuckin stupid, thats their fuckin problem

  • @robertha America is considered a First World country even with those statistics. How on earth can you justify calling the majority of the planet that has to scrape by just to earn a living, "stupid"? If anything, you're the insensitive moron that's lived in a bubble so long they've forgotten reality.

  • @horusofoz only poor people make a big deal of 16k, 16k cant buy you shit!! so why you even mad? you living in poverty or something?

  • @horusofoz heres a little tip luxury4play . com .. where the boys with money hang out, go read a few threads of the life style and realize how shitty yours is

  • @robertha You must have a screw loose.

  • argh SiKTiR!!

  • Asian mmorpgs are such cookie cutter bullshit. He can keep his crappy mmo and keep wasting his money

  • i think hes mixed up imaginary and virtual..... fucking idiots....... i bet they think banks store all there money in a big vault......

  • People here really mad at TYT for the story. I laff @ u.

    -Gamer4lyfe

  • I'm a gamer, if I had loads of money I would do that.

  • ohhh i love the fights in the comments of these videos. ♪why cant we be friends...

  • You people don't get it, with those 16000 he can own in the game and get powerful items before anyone else and sell them for 100$ 500$ 1000$ etc, it is an investment, there is people who job is selling and buying online items.

  • That IS stupid but hey its his money. He can do whatever he wants w/ it. (He must be a millionaire)

  • Wow. This is the one and only time I am going to use this word.. but watching this video made me STUPIDER. These 'talk-show' hosts who couldn't get a real job on television because of how retarded and uninformed their commentary is, trying to grasp the fact that online games, MMO's in particular, are now in a multimillion dollar industry, and failing.... miserably. I guess they are just jealous they'll probably never see 16,000 dollars all at once. Get a clue. Then get a job. And perhaps a hobby

  • @WarzolJR Dude they do have jobs on real tv. I don't care how big of a gamer you are or how much loot you have spending 16k on something not tangible is pretty moronic. Gaming isn't a multi-million dollar industry it's a multi-billion dollar industry. I don't think they are poking fun at gamers or the industry but they are poking fun at people with deeply seeded psychological issues which in turn cause them to completely immerse themselves in a fantasy land.

  • @SmokeBox

And they gathered all this information based on a magical gamer fairy who lept out at them from the text of a headline from a foreign country? Obviously because this person has the ability to spend 16 large on something he enjoys and because it's not something YOU would spend money on it makes them have psychological issues? Do you think all of the people currently invested in gold, making millions upon millions of dollars, are moronic? Gold stock is just as tangible.

  • @WarzolJR um yeah dude wasteful is wasteful I assisted lady gaga with her ipad and because she though it was busted just decided to buy a new one. So yes you may have the right to spend spend spend doesn't mean people wont think your an idiot for doing so.

  • @SmokeBox

P.S. Youtube isn't television, and noone watches those infomercials at 3 in the morning.

  • @WarzolJR Hey dumbass they have a show on direct tv and the lead anchor often is on msnbc. But I wouldn't expect an ajax sniffing little troll-bitch to actually follow the media.

  • @SmokeBox

Ah, DirectTV and MSNBC, that explains their shoddy journalism. I wasn't purposely trolling, but I might start, seeing how easy it is to make you kids so incredibly angry on accident. LOL! You sound like you have been spending too much time in front of the computer. I suggest going outside and getting some fresh air. It might help with your childish attitude. Don't forget to clean the blood out of your pussy b4 u make another reply. Noone likes that fish taco smell.

  • @SmokeBox virtual items are tangible...... like these "moronic" hosts your thinking of imaginary. Have you ever heard of the stock market? A virtual market that contains virtual items worth billions, that hundreds of thousands of people spend money in every day. 90% of the worlds money is virtual. You dont still think that banks store all your money in a big pile of gold do you?

  • @lolwtff

I pointed that out in one of my replies to him as well. He's obviously just a little kid who is mad because he can't afford stuff online like this. The only thing I can boil the hatred down to is pure jealousy. The people who are complaining about what someone spends their own money on are just jealous they can't drop 16 grand into something useless that they enjoy as well. In most cases like this, 16 grand is a smaller percentage of their net worth than a cup of coffee to us.

  • I dont like games that sell in game items/perks for cash so i dont support that practice. But as have already been commented on: +90% of all money are 'virtual' money, backed by no real asset. Why is a flimsy football card worth tens of thousands? Because fans, and the market give it that value. To say that something that is virtual is not real; Is a sign that your behind the times, and need to step up your game. Bring an philosopher to the show and he can help you.

  • Cant believe how badly they butchered this story. Maybe the guy is insanely wealthy and spends most of his time playing this game, therefore its worth it to him, it ain't "stupid". Secondly, comparing a hyunday to a lexus and claiming the only difference is the "badge" is insanely ignorant. the lexus, bmw etc are loaded with technology and features (including more safety), and many other build quality advances the cheaper cars dont have, so ppl buy them for a realistic reason, not for the badge!

  • @bm3racer

They get paid by the views, these two 'reporters' are just terrible so they need these outlandish stories to keep their ugly mugs on our television screens to make money. I wonder how many of their videos have the tags of 'porn' and 'sex' in them just to generate the extra views. Lol! But of course instead of owning up and admitting they are wrong/misinformed/can't do their job right, they'll just start yelling their side louder. Loudest is always right... right? OF COURSE!!

  • Any game that gives players that pay money irl an advantage is not a game a want to play. If I buy a game, as far as I'm concerned I've paid for the game's full benefits. Something you buy just because it looks cool, on the other hand, I have no problem with.

  • and what if the sword existed? would it be more acceptable for someone to pay 16k to get it?? what tyt is saying is because it is virtual, it has no value, if someone paid that kind of money for it then the logic says otherwise

  • @tautologicalnickname Exactly. That sword exists in the same way that 99% of the money in the world exists. Just because it doesn't have a concrete form doesn't mean it's not real.

  • Most gamers are suckers. My nephews went wild for that Skyrim game. They preordered it and twiddled their thumbs for months waiting. It finally came in the mail, they put it in their ps3, and the friggin thing crashes and lags out every 10 minutes lol. The company who makes the game refuses to fix it. Despite this, gamers are still saying it should win game of the year. And on some websites, it did win! Just amazing. No where else in marketing can you produce a broken product and get awarded.

  • rofl at all these nerds offended that they're ripping into geeks wasting money.

  • This purchase makes total sense from his perspective. He's obviously got way more money than he knows what to do with, and will probably spend hundreds, if not thousands of hours playing this game, so why not throw down 15 grand on some badass sword?

  • Now all stupidity and "it doesn't exist aside", what's the point? I mean, this guy is cheating himself out of the gaming experience. Where's the fun in playing if you have the "infinity+1" weapon and beat everybody without even trying?

I wouldn't even pay 1 dollar for something like that. It's not that I am opposed to spending money on your hobby any way you want, but it's just stupid to cheat yourself out of the challenge.

  • Its absurd because the sword literally doesnt exist in the real world. Without the game, the sword is worthless.

  • videogamers are so pathetic. Jesus, I barely spend 10 dollars on the downloadable content my PS3 provides. Get a life neckbeards.

  • pepole spend mill on stupid things in real life for vanity.

this is the same idea its like buying an expansive painting to show off to your art budys.

i would never spend that much money on nearly any thing even if i had it to spend.

but if someone has that extra money laying around go ahead and spend it on what ever you want.

and anna is right thear are alwas 100's of game tornomits that he could win money from

then once he maxs out his character he probably will sell it for more

  • I wouldnt even pay $5 for a virtual sword...

  • 16 thousand for a virtual sword, no matter who you are, is fucking absurd.

  • What if the guy was a Millionaire and didn't give shit about $ 16K ? :o

  • No TYT. Your opinions on this matter are stupid.

  • "Everything is worth what its purchaser will pay for it."

    - Publilius Syrus

  • 472 people are faggot trolls that spend all their time in their mother's basement playing stupid video games like this one.

  • Who are the sad gaming dorks thumbing down this video ?

    Get a life.

  • I've known so many women who by expensive outfits that they wear only once. They be damned if someone see them in it again. What an accomplishment.

  • XD HAHAHA!!! Soooo many online gamers thumbing down this video. Funny on top of funny. X[]

  • guest asian people arent so smart after all

  • money is imaginary. its just paper. the sword is just data in a hard drive. we all choose what value to believe in.... that is a lot of money though...

  • Why do people care how other people you're not even associated with spend their money?

  • "[...] goods that don't exist in real life."

This is so wrong on so many levels.

  • 'JESUS CHRIST!!!'.....my thoughts exactly.

  • Something I'd never do but the pointing and laughing aspect of this video of someone spending their own money on something they enjoy means that this video gets a dislike.

  • Oh what happened Ana? I thought were an underground gamer?

    'virtual goods' Pleaseee. Dislike.

  • @TOTCD MMO's are not a very widely recognized genre still (they still have a basement nerd stigma attached to them, and As someone who has been gaming since 1992, the age of 3. I've only played two MMO's I considered good, neither of them of the pay to play variety.) Also did you see the game? its like Clickfest Dynasty Warriors :P

  • @FenrirLaeon Yes it doesn't matter.

you shouldn't look down on them. I think most of these people can't understand why women spend so much money on clothing. It's the same thing.

Leave people alone. And what if the guy who spent 16K on a sword is rich.

    Who cares then?

  • @TOTCD you. shhhhhh.

  • @psycomedybruh lol what?

  • He probably gets his money from gold farming and selling his maxed level accounts.

  • hmm, me thinks the developer needed production capital to finish & publish the game. all the MMO's sell bullshit to boost their finances, SquareEnix does that all the time. I'm sure he's getting more than just the sword though, atleast he better be for that amount of money. hell i'd want my face on the box, the first expansion named after me, and a photorealistic character of my likeness and a guarantee that future expansions won't obsolete the item.

  • @maxdecphoenix damn. i looked it up, game's not even in beta phase yet...

  • @maxdecphoenix i'm going to put my money on it was a totally fabricated publicity stunt and no money changed hands anyway. not to say this doesn't happen though.

  • 16k for an in-game item? it's morons like this that give mmo gamers a bad name. theres a difference between playing a game for the fun/social/achievement aspect of it and revolving your entire life around it.

  • Wait, isn't Ana an underground gamer? She should understand better.

  • whats with all this hate on tyt.

  • I don't understand. Who do you buy that silly sword from? Since the game is not yet released..

  • People spend hundreds on virtual items :l

  • Paying thousands for a superbowl ticket? A big stupid game? That's worse that the 10dollars I just spent buying gold on wow.

  • i get paying for dlc and such but c-mon most expensive add-on i bought was 13$ and once had a subscription for 7$ that lasted 3 months

  • Whoever made up this game is the best scam artist ever!!!! LMAO

  • Wow epic ignorance? I bet they paid for Windows 7, their studio probably owns a shitload of software for editing and broadcasting. Hurr hurr software does't exist.who would pay for something that doesn't exist hurr hur. I will be down voting this video since it doesn't exist.

  • @PointyGorman The difference is that they are actually going to make a living from this so called "non-existent" software, the idiot who bought that sword for $16,000 does not... I hope to god you can see the difference...

  • @EnslynHalo That may be your argument, and I do see the difference. But their argument was 'hurr hurr it is imaginary'. Cenk even said that his imaginary sword is stronger...

  • @PointyGorman You can't be serious. To compare a virtual sword to a Talkshow or News show might be the dumbest thing of all time. Ignorance? To what. A guy spending 16k on something that physically doesn't exist. If he bought a computer for 16k, good for him, but a sword for a game.

  • @isaacBrockofthe41 I am sorry but I think you have to accept that since the 80s there have been a lot of 'virtual' goods. For example stocks are virtual. Would you argue that stocks are worthless and that anyone buying them is an idiot too? Everything on your computer, everything on the internet, wikipedia, youtube, google, all virtual. I think in this day and age it is very hard to argue that virtual goods are worthless. Besides that, the money was mainly to raise capital, the sword is a perk.

  • @PointyGorman Stocks may be virtual, but it connects to reality. The google and Wikipedia argument is total shit. It has no comparison to the topic. Buying a sword in a game is like buying a picture of a sword, then day dreaming about it every day. Look if he paid like 300 bucks i wouldn't care, but 16k. I find it hard to believe that you can't comprehend what i'm saying.

  • @isaacBrockofthe41 Well, no. He actually does own the sword. Just because it isn't physical doesn't mean he can't claim ownership. As someone who owns many TV shows, movies, music, games, and other programs, I can tell you with confident that virtual goods do indeed exist, and are not imaginary. When I purchased Windows I did not purchase 'a picture of Windows, then day dreamed about it all day'. People spend far more on far less. The classic example of cars still stands.

  • @PointyGorman 2 things.

    1) U didn't purchase Windows. U purchased a license to use it on ur PC.

    2) When the games' servers' inevitably go offline what then? He at the most owns a $16,000 PDF displaying an image of a cool looking sword with a heap of stats listing showing just how cool it is. Awesome....

Not meaning to make the guy sound immoral but even if he's a billionaire this was a bad decision considering over a billion people if not the majority of the humanity live on less 16K per annum.

  • @horusofoz And he purchased a 'license' to use the sword (it still belongs to the development company - read the EULA!). Sure if you want to make that distinction... Some game servers never go offline by the way, and even if they do so what? Do you not buy food because eventually you will eat it (or it will go rotten)? But then again, does it matter that eventually the item will be useless? I don't see people not buying computers because in 2 years it will be outdated...

  • @horusofoz And to continue on, people with money should spend it. What is wrong with that? "Oh I won't buy a new shirt because some people only have 1 shirt!" The cost of living scales with your income. Do you think Bill Gates lives on 16K per annum just because "a billion people" do? (By the way "Either 1/6th or >1/2" is not a very good statement when you think about it. Sounds like you are making things up @_@)

  • ive seen people spend more money than that on an antique coin !!! , i think its too much money to spend on a game but who am i to judge if the guy is stupid or wasting his money ? , point is : its his money , he knows how much was this sword worth to him .

  • I've seen people pay millions for painting that look like someones kids ate crayons and shit on a canvas... people will always spend money on shit that me and you wil;l never understand... but if it makes him happy than fuck it power to him.

  • It's not so much the fact that somebody would buy something this expensive that surprises me. It's more of how an item in a game could be so expensive to begin with. For 16k you could buy all the top-notch programs and make your own game from scratch. I'm not going to call this guy an idiot because I don't know the circumstance, but I do think he has his ambitions and priorities in the wrong place.

  • @FuIIOfFaiI hah you think buying high end software enables YOU to make a professional game? with 16k?

  • Another TYT video I'm thumbing down. So judgmental of people spending their own money. He's stupid, dumb, etc. Who cares? It's his money, who are you to judge?

  • Ana, some peoples real life sucks. Playing this kind of games becomes very important and very real. Is a matter of perspective. Your life doesn't suck as much as these guys so you will never understand (nothing wrong with that).

  • Well, why buy a 180,000$ car when a 30,000$ car does the same thing? It's all about feeling more successful than others. It can be seen in a different perspective, too. They enjoy cars, or video games, it's their hobby and if they have the money, let them do what they like. I'm sure others would laugh at those who pay thousands to collect dolls, figurines, comics, etc. It all adds up, so what makes a 16,000 dollar virtual sword any different? I think it's silly, but it's their choice.

  • what they don't get is how ridiculously seriously they take MMOs in Asia. like, you think people take MMOs seriously in Amerika. THey make serious money from this.

  • People spend money on hobbies. Nothing new here.

  • Lmfao "it pays me to know that people are this stupid.' Damnn!! gett'm!

  • You 2 smug, self righteous anchors have no business telling people what they ought to be spending their money on, there's no need to publicly ridicule this poor bloke...

  • like church or fantasy football?

  • Some people pay more money for real swords, which end up sitting on display in their home gathering dust. People can spend their money however they want. If some people would rather buy items in their video game worlds than clutter their homes with real world possessions, what's the problem? As long as they're not spending 16k on a virutal sword while living with their parents and not contributing anything to rent or whatever I don't see a problem.

  • @Matticus333

pretty much I checked this game out and it seems to target people 25-35 who have disposable income.

  • @Matticus333 the difference between getting a real useless sword and a virtual sword in an MMORPG is that the virtual one will cease to exist once the game eventually dies and the servers are taken down in 10 or so years (at the most), while the real sword can last for centuries if it's taken care of. i still agree with you, people can spend their money however they want, but this is still a lot dumber than getting a real collectors item that can last for generations.

  • @Cuddlebunzzzz True, but in the end the sword is still just sitting there. You could argue that over the years its monetary value will go up and the owner can sell it for a profit, but a collector spending that amount on it to begin with would probably keep it. Even if they sold it and made a profit, the guy with the virtual sword could do the same. And yes, a real sword might last for hundreds of years, but again it's still just a material object sitting around on display.

  • @Matticus333 they never said it was a problem, they're making fun of you for it nerd. They would make fun of idiots paying 16k for a sword to sit on a shelf also. Except that the sword on your shelf is actually yours where as your account with this sword can get banned for no reason at all.

  • STOUT SHAKO FOR TWO REFINED

  • If you know anything about MMORPGs, you know that as soon as new sets of gear are released in that game, the sword will be obsolete.

  • TYT = oblivious.

  • what the hell, I thought people paid stupid amounts of money for sentimental value. This kind of blows my theory out of the water.

  • The guy will probably make back his $16k investment through gold farming

  • @Lius525 The money in skyrim cannot be traded among players, and therefore you cannot buy anything with it. I don't see what rabbit hole I need to take you down into. Please explain. I was just pointing out that the person was basicly paying with virtual money.

  • That sword is just a status symbol. 16k is nothing to rich people in today's world. At least it has some function, virtual or not. Rich people spend way more than 16k on "real" crap that does nothing.

The buyer can still resell the sword, and possibly make a profit.

  • And other people spend 16,000 dollars on media which they don't really own.

  • Huh... Why is this video downrated? I usually get why, but this time I am at a loss.

  • @GnosticAtheist I blame the hordes of WoW players. They are obsessed over one issue much like the Paulites; they approve you as long as you don't have anything bad to say about their holy subject (read: the MMOs) and once you say something even slightly negative about it, they consider you their enemy; they are simple "with-us-or-against-us" folk. Considering that there are millions of WoW players, even a tiny fraction of them lashing out is still a fuckload of people.

  • @fingrid I guess... At least the Paulites have the future of an entire country in mind (at least how they see it). Not so for WoWians...
