Lol wow has more quests and raids? Seriously? Honestly I do play WoW now, I retired from EQ a few years ago. But even then it had 14-15 expansions worth of content to quest in. It was good for what it started. But like your video suggests, MMO play-styles have changed quite a bit in recent years. Quicker thrills and such. I do admit to re-activating my old EQ accounts to plunk around for a week, then quit again. EQII is just a monstrosity or ugly step-child lol.

People forget that EQ was released in 1999 and WoW was released in 2004... all MMORPGs today are based off of everquest.

I could easily show videos of someone fighting in EQ1 then show videos of people in WoW just running around too.. or having their corpse camped, Don't just show all bad stuff from 1 game and all good stuff from another as comparison.

Oh I'll admit the part about the regen though... When this video was made that was true. It is not true anymore though, You can have mercenaries now so there is pretty much literally less downtime in EQ1 now than there is in WoW believe it or not, huge change of direction for the game.

eq was the best game i have ever played in my life ... i played it with my older brother sins i was 8 and i have try'd gething the same expierience with a new mmo and you yust can't. old eq players wil know what i'm talking about.

I have to disagree with you, however, but I suppose if you want a more carefree experience, WoW is a bit more user friendly. I find Everquest to be a MUCH more rewarding experience.

We're talking features though. I've been playing Everquest on and off since 1999, but I can still learn how to do different things in the game.

World of Warcraft, however, I feel I've done really all there is to do when I capped my level. The PvP wasn't really all that fun.

Anyways, just my two cents.

pvp isn't even close to all you can do WoW endgame... WoW doesnt really need expansions all the much because of all the ingame updating... it never gets boring because of that and if it does the next patch is coming in a week so u stop playing for that time then go back on...

I started a WoW account, got to 70 when it first came out...I created a raiding guild..WoW is much easier...I might add that I've been playing EQ for 9 years...WoW is way too easy.. And it did base most of it's ideas off of EverQuest, but some of it's are also original, from Diablo, Warcraft(I. II, and III) so, can't say that it is a complete copy of EQ, which it's not. But it is still a fairly decent game to paly when I want a laugh..But I still say EverQuest is WAAAY better...

They didnt steel the idea they took parts like dungeons. Warcraft and Everquest are both very different. Warcraft is hard but Blizzard made it a lot simpler than Everquest.

Since I made this video, I quit WoW and started playing EQ again. I got my Gnome Warrior to 70 then quit. My main in WoW wasn't the wrrior. That was one of my wife's chars. In a nutshell...WoW has more stuff to do. EQ is a major grinding game if you are not in a raiding guild. I don't play either anymore.

Um, yeah, i agree with runaway. also, its kinda obvious you set this up to make everquest look bad. In fact, the WoW mechanical horse whatever is so copying EQ because mechanical stuff is a trademark of EQ gnomes. Not to mention there are like 20 different kinds of mounts (horses) in EQ.

It's easier to obtain a horse in WoW than EQ. It's also easier to solo a Warrior in WoW than EQ...hence the part about having to regen health in EQ.
