  • Ellen had a tit job.

  • I've seen better karaoke versions than this

  • @RenaatD Fuck off have ya,Pillock

  • Ellen's 'Nightout' is one of the most underrated albums of all time. Great to see her still belting it out after all these years.

  • Great video - shit audio - shame!

  • nobody sings it like Ellen...and no one ever will...she had it down and done right from the start...Ellen Foley...

  • Great video, thanks! Even with poor sound quality, Ellen's voice is amazing. Great to see her singing in person and not just seeing Karla lip-syncing over her voice! She deserves true credit for all her work.

  • Ellen's said that she didn't do the video with Meatloaf or tour with him, because he was sexually harassing her. People think Karla DeVito is the singer on PARADISE because she did the video. Weird & ironic that Ellen is not in that video. It's her on the album of course, with her back turned towards the camera. Another blunder on her part for people not to know it's her.

  • But, even though I agree with what you said, having see Karla and Meat singing this, I have to say she did the song justice. And I might add it was not synced at the concerts, because Meat always changed it some.

  • i liked her on night court! why did she go?

  • she was there as a fill-in for when Markie Post's contract with another show expired.

  • And that other show would be Fall Guy.

  • @warriorsfan19 Actually, Ellen was on night Court before Markie Post.

  • @KeltiKevin Oh yeah. I see the mistake I made. It was supposed to say she was a fill-in UNTIL Markie Post's contract with another show expired. Great eyes. Thanks.

  • She wasn't a fill-in for Markie Post for cripes dake...she had a severe drug problem and they had to fire her. I stopped watching Night Court after that, she and Harry had a great chesmistry.

  • @backstopbob89 Back-up the drug problem statement

  • Hammer of Thor's Pat Gallagher there in the Leiderhosen.

  • mmm

  • Thank you for uploading. Very interesting.

  • Ellen Foley was the singer in the meatloaf video

Carla DeVito appeared in it and lipsynched to Ellens voice

Apparently Carla was more theatrical so Ellen got ditched

  • Ellen didn't get ditched. Before Meat decided to go on tour, Ellen was already doing theater productions in LA as well as getting her own record deal so SHE made the decision not to tour. As a result, they brought in Carla.

  • Thats right. By the time Meat's BOOH hit the touring circuit, Karla (note that she uses a "K") came in. She did a solid job though there were differences for sure. In any case I prefer Ellen's vocal by far.

  • Band sounds great and oh man, Ellen sounds fantastic. I wish I was in the room that night, she killed it!

  • whoever it was with the camera needs to get better sound quality so i can hear Ellen's wonderful voice better.

  • the guy on guitar is pretty good

  • the dude ain singin it i hear meat loafs voice

  • @muntzmanj154 He is singing it, there are too many personalized variations. He is just a really good Meatloaf impersonator. Maybe that explains the name of the band being "Anything for Loaf"?

  • is their band the wife beaters, I mean COME ON, if I was going to go up on stage I wouldn't be wearing something that looked like I pulled it from the hamper

i'm not saying wear a tux or something like that, but at least a nice shirt

  • at the time it was around holloween and they were i costume ellen was a businesswomen or something. and the man was Meatloaf (allegedly). the band is called Anything for Loaf

  • ahhhh i see, it's funny 20 years after night court and she still looks the same

  • OMG that IS HER, I didn't know that

I always LOVED her voice on the original recording, too bad she doesn't hook up with meatloaf so they could perform together

  • OMG myself..she made the song...kinda Ruby Starr on Jim Dandy...great singers that didn't get proper credit...

  • I always did like Ellen Foley over Karla DeVito and most people don't know that Karla only did the video. Ellen was the one that sang on the album.

  • great voice

  • Ellen Foley had a couple of great albums in the early 80's that were good. She worked with Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson among others.

  • yeah but she;s more memorable for this song
