Na kar ditha, na kar wala ditha, kism kam dittiyan niyazan, .." and not implimenting knowledge (i.e. having knowledge, of do's and dont's of Islam) yet not implimenting them (on the issue of niyaz) nullifys your namaz. Thats because the niyaz suppose to cover the possible mistakes ...
... in namaz, and if your niyaz is wrong, then what is worth of the prayers because there is nothing atoning for the mistakes in prayers, so in short prayers without niyaz, and niyaz given to wrong people means you have nothng, then namaz is of no use in the day of judgement cause it will not earn you reward.
The part: "chir'ree aahi hath bazan ..." allegorical statement reffering to angles, and soul. bazan is plural, reffering to angles, and chir'ree is sparrow reference...

The next part: "kissay nay nee teri zaat puchni ..." sequentially, life, death, burial. In the grave angles ask, man rabbuka who is your lord, ma deenuka, whats ur religion, and they ask who is your prophet, or do you recognise ...

In this context he is making point to Muslims that in your grave why are you asking about people about their castes, and having dealing with people on this basis when the real basis for differentiating is, who is your lord, whats your religion, who is your prophet, and do you recognise this man. In other words proper way of judgement is not zaat, but based on religion (i.e. Islam) God (i.e. Allah) Prophet Muhammed, and recognision of Muhammed.

Truth987seeker: bulleh shah wrote for all humans and for all times. His Islamic upbringing had a great part in his philosophy and poetry. It is important that our neighbor India have the same values as us. In fact the whole world, including the west, needs to have the same values as us and Bulleh Shah. Knowledge should be passed on so that all humans progress.
Bulleh Shah preached equality and love. All religions preach the same, but unfortunately, people cannot understand the wisdom of this philosophy and create superior and inferior castes due to birth or colour or religion, etc. Let us treat everybody as equal and this world will be a better place.

Bulleh Shah never preached violence. The British were ruthless during the Indian occupation and killed thousands of innocent Indians, but Bulleh Shah would not advocate that retaliation be made on innocent British people. General Dweyer was guilty of killing hundreds of civilians, and would have been punished, if there is any punishment suitable for such heinous acts. I am a sikh and form me it doesn't make a difference whether he is a muslim or hindu. As a punjabi I love his poetry which touches heart and soul. Our Gurus always said "Avan Allah Noor o paya, Kudrat ke sab bande, ek noor sae sab jag upjaye kaun bhale kaun mande". May lord forgive me if I have done any typo.

According to Islam, anyone who declares "Laa Ilaha Illa Allah, Muhammad Ar-Rasulullah" is a Muslim in the eyes of other Muslims. Only God can declare otherwise.

The British were ruthless during the Indian occupation and killed thousands of innocent Indians, but Bulleh Shah would not advocate that retaliation be made on innocent British people. the Qawalli is not written by Bulleh Shah, only the couplet sung in begining belongs to Bulleh Shah.
Qawali is written by a Pakistani poet Sadiq for Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and this composition is of NFAK, you can also listen to NFAK singing this qawali on youtube.

I am a sikh and form me it doesn't make a difference whether he is a muslim or hindu. As a punjabi I love his poetry which touches heart and soul. Our Gurus always said "Avan Allah Noor o paya, Kudrat ke sab bande, ek noor sae sab jag upjaye kaun bhale kaun mande". May lord forgive me if I have done any typo.

I dont know any muslim who has a photo of guru in his house..also, muhammed ( pbuh) was given islam, anything other than that is kuffar..bulleh shah was most certainly a muslim and anyone who denied that will have no fact to back it up..since his life onwards most muslims believe he was muslim and wali of Allah..saints are examples of humanity, but they only follow Allahs religion, nothing else, unless one twists it to incorporate a wider vision.

2/3 A lot of the philosophy of bulleh shah can be compared to the philosophy of the Sikh faith. Bulleh Shah believed, there is one religion (of One God), and this religion has many sects (Sikhs, Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddists, Muslims and many others). @TheHellobibi: Sikhs believe all TRUE saints are inspired by the same source (God)... therefore they all preach the same message (they dont come to spead religion, but to spread faith). Most mainstream Muslims today will vigorously deny that bulled shah is a Muslim. Many Muslims respect Guru Nanak Sahib and have pictures of him in their homes, but we dent tell them to convert. YOU have totally missed the message in the video!

@dreamr00000000000000 ... i have a biography of bulleh shah which tells otherwise. i brought this book from lahore. if you would like more info please send me a personal message. also, i have personally encountered muslims who say bulleh shah (and many other sufis) are not muslims.

@radioactives1ngh well i dont know i have never hear from any person that they dont consider him a non Muslim as for as his biography there many other sufi that were considered non Muslims during there lives but when their lives were studied in detail the true extent of there love for God was reviled . If u like i can suggest u books from good authors

@radioactives1ngh Baba Bulle shah in his time did faced many accusation in his time because his way of preaching was quite unique at that time but later scholar do consider him as one of the greatest Muslim Sufi poet of his time

@radioactives1ngh bulleh shah has a shrine were his urs r celebrated along wid many other sufis mate by muslims. i dont knw whome u met or wat book u have I can assure as person who first taught of baba Bulleh Shah as a non muslim reading his kalams then later realized he was a muslim

@TheHellobibi: Baba Bulleh Shah was a sufi ... most ppl in india dont thing sufis are muslim caz of their spiritual and musical views, just like Baba Bulleh Shah they accept all other religious believes (Sikhs, Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddists, Muslims, Jains, Parsi and many others). Correct me if i m wrong but according to most muslims if you believe in other religion thn u cant be muslim.

@karankyb karan dear there is a great difference in believing other religions n respecting other religions. i m a muslim n we believe that we r supposed to respect the whole humanity. So there is no harm to a muslim who respects other religions as this has been told by our Holy Prophet (PBUH) that " Muslim is the one whose tongue and hands are not harmful for others".

@karankyb That's actually not true at all. According to Al-Qur'an, Allah (SWT) sent down 124,000 prophets, only a few of whom are actually mentioned by name. A prophet was supposedly sent to every nation and tribe, each one bringing divine revelation. Many Muslims believe that Guru Nanak was a Sufi Muslim leader. According to Islam, anyone who declares "Laa Ilaha Illa Allah, Muhammad Ar-Rasulullah" is a Muslim in the eyes of other Muslims. Only God can declare otherwise.

Do you think that Super Power Allah, Waheguru Or Some other names of that power are different from each other. U know what no matter if you are a Muslim or Sikh or Hindu but if your deeds are not good you could not reach there ever. You are trying to limit that super power to one religion only which is not possible ever. It is really good to be stick and follow your own religion because god gave you that path to follow with your birth. but remember different names could not divide Power ..

@karankyb beta, that's called confidence in your deen, if we question you one after another, you'd start wondering about your babas. In Islams teaching, word "Deen" has been used as religion Islam, which means the best way to live life. so in other words, there's no comparison, yes you can argue all you want, but don't forget the one chosen the name Deen for Islam, is All-knower. and Baba bulleh Shah is very minor topic to even begin with. @radioactives1ngh Singh sahab, bohot achha keha jo wi keha. I was born Hindu, born and brought up in Punjab. But "guru" has impact on our lives, His teachings are all rooted to the one almighty. Ki farak penda mai Hindu, Sikh ya Muslim born, all religions teach one and the only thing, keep your faith in HIM. Accept that Nirankaar (One that does not have any shape or bounds) in any form, all ways will take us to HIM. Religion is not God, it is a pathway to reach HIM, the one Nirankaar father.
