They are very 'cute' sharks, as strange as that sounds.

I find it interesting that they can differentiate about what is him and what is food.

At 5:03, you can see him waggling his fingers at the one shark - a very prey like movement - but the animal doesnt bite... Ive worked with these kinds of animals before, and 'dont bite food' isnt the sort of thing that they are easily conditioned to.

Perhaps they can 'read' his electronic 'signature', and have labeled him a benefactor.

@nilesrock024 what i have noticed is sharks are very much like cats. Alot of there behaviour patterns, hunting styles, and even senses are similar. Like cats whiskers are kind of like the sharks abiltiy to sense electric pulses or whatever. And how the sharks do not bit well with cats the normally attack fingers untill the associate them with something good. The same thing is happening with these sharks. Just think about it sharks ARE alot like cats and if not house cats then wild big cats.

Not all sharks need to swim to keep breathing, some can pump water over their gills to breathe, you mostly see this in bottom dwelling sharks like Nurse sharks. Top dwelling / oceanic sharks like the oceanic white tip or the Tiger shark need to keep swimming to breathe.

Thats not true. With some sharks it is like the great white because moving keeps it heart pumping and if it stops well...lol. But with most sharks they can pump water through their gills and lay on the ground.

lol well as it might LOOK amazing, its really not. leapard sharks arent threatening to humans at all. you can handle them in pretty much any way. thats why theyre one of the most common sharks found in public aquariums like this.
