  • hey qsb i wanna talk cash me and you email i can make good money you can too shoot me a email thanks!

  • Craftmanship...that's what I love about coins...I even like the 1 oz Copper coins, they're pretty cool too.

  • I had silver rounds made at Silvertowne and there were a few more steps taken. After the initial design was made and approved, they sent me a "lead shot" to approve the design in lead. They did because the dies are cut in a relatively soft condition and some changes can still be made prior to heat treating the die. After approval of the lead shot the dies were heat treated, polished and ready for planchetes.

  • whats the cost of getting something like this..and also the legal thing..have soem designs based of english coinage, but with completly different designs and such, jsut keeping the shape, size and wieghts

  • @darthkarr Sorry for the LONG Delay! The cost to create a die is anywhere between $300-$1500 depending on what design you want to put on it. I don't know what British laws there are with using their designs, but most US coin designs are public domain besides a few (I believe the Sacajawea dollar is one of those few) Also when using those designs for custom minting you cannot use them with an intent to deceive, or in other words put a $ amount on them, or advertise them a US currency, etc...

  • Nice work!!!

  • what is the cost?

  • @RICHMONDHILL1981 @darthkarr The cost to create a die is anywhere between $300-$1500 depending on what design you want to put on it. Sorry for my delay!

  • Great Video!!

  • This great new art designed by the people.

  • I got you covered QSB.

  • First the hair cut from being long, now the corporate cut. Great job Jim. I did not even notice you for a minute.

By the way, I wanted to ask, how long does a die last or what is the yield of a die? Are multiples of the same die made for high volume products? Are the dies changed frequently on high volume products or I am thinking to much into it?

  • @Anothercoilgun My wife asked me to cut it so I did ;-)

The life of a die depends on how many pieces it strikes and what grade of a strike you want. A prooflike die will probably be good for 10,000 pieces because it needs to be polished so regularly and for each piece, the die strikes it an average of 2-3 times. The constant polishing and stamping of the die causes it to wear much faster. A die used for a bullion grade strike, will last up to 200,000 pieces.

  • What is the minimum order for a custom piece or how odes the process work!

  • @eddiekoski I don't know if you are still interested after my delayed response, but the minimum order with custom minting is 500 pieces.

  • @faithnotneeded I like this idea! I wasn't a fan of the silver bugs design myself, but picked-up one for the heck of it. I think it's good to get some different designs out there, so if I didn't like it as much as the others, no big issue. But the Doubloon idea is AWESOME!

  • The perceived character that I am does not find unsymmetrical scribble drawings of bugs appealing.

  • @Indigozek I will make sure to let you know the next time a new design contest is happening. That way maybe one of your ideas will be chosen to be put on a silver round.

    Thanks for the input.

  • @Indigozek

Ditto anti reverse! I LOVE IT. Check out Anothercoilgun's comment on QSB under the Silverbugs round. Tip of the iceberg. Youtube has no space for me to even hint at the greatness of not just the round but its presence, so I will not even try.

  • But it is an ugly design. It's not being negative that he said that, it's true. If everyone matched the character they seem to be all the time, this world would probably be a hell of a lot different.

  • @Negativerything

Judge not less ye bought and hold the physical for oneself to comment.

  • Loved it Jim!

  • Definitely MY favorite mint :D

  • Nice explanation! I'd still love to see a "Silver to the Moon" round, with the near face of the Moon on the obverse (mebbe in different phases, for a fractional weights series). Thanks for keeping the Silver fans engaged in the process! =^[.]^=

  • the obverse is awesome with the little bugs. But the obverse is very bad no offense. niice video

  • Thats one ugly design.

  • @Indigozek Hmmm...your comment certainly doesn't match the character that your video's on your profile does. Sorry....your video's suggest a positive character of harmony and love.....not the negative that your comment here does :>)

  • @WhyMeWhySilver Can't Indigozek say what he feels without being jumped on?

Eye of the beholder, free speech, etc...

  • @bunkermunk Yes he has the right...but it doesn't measure to the character he implies on his profile channel.

So I have answered your question.

Now answer mine. Should one not relay the character of one's own self that they suggest or imply that they are? :>)

    Wanna answer that one Monkey?

  • @bunkermunk So having said that. I await your answer.

I must also mention that I think that one of suggested decency by his profile that they could have been more polite and said......myself, I really don't like it.

    And like to said Monkey.

    free speech, etc...

  • @WhyMeWhySilver Your comments speak volumes about YOUR character.

  • @bunkermunk certainly :>) and I don't stray from them either. I'm that matter of fact kind of guy.

  • @Indigozek

Back into the block you with ya. Freedom of right click right her baby.

  • Nice work! Also can some post a link to silverbugs facebook page, I keep searching for them on facebook by come up empty each time. Thanks

  • you cut your hair!

  • Dang, Jim you are truly a quality mint and you go way above and behond anyone's expectations. Looks like you and I will be striking an Au and Ag chat 1oz .999 Silver bullion round up soon then huh.

  • Quality Silver Bullion is Silverbugs Favorite Mint

  • Good video Jim, and those silverbugs are beautiful.
