  • Because the dome forms when baking, when you flip the cake over,

    is it unbalanced?

  • @kaleighfoley The cake bakes up rounded, but not domed, and once it is turned upside down onto a platter the cake settles slightly onto the platter so it will not be unbalanced. Hope this helps! Happy baking. :)

  • dont u have 2 grease the pan before u pour everything?

  • @shanagurl112 No, you do not need to grease the pan since you are putting a melted butter mixture into the bottom of the pan. This will prevent sticking of the cake, and the cake will be inverted 10 minutes after baking. Let us know how it turns out! :)

  • @darknessyoko00 Any firm apple will be great in this cake – I would suggest not going with a golden delicious because they are on the softer side. If the apple is really soft it will be too tender after baking.

  • @kamsolsafarees Yes, the pecans are totally optional. They do complement the caramel and the cake layer really well but if you don’t like pecans or other type of nut, you can just skip that ingredient and it will still be delicious! Sincerely, Cate
