I actually for once agree with the people that say "this looks like gears of war" cuz the commands have similar designs to the gears style (like when changing guns, switching to cover, etc)

but considering the other gameplay shown where people are floating in mid air and walking on buildings its sure that this is no ripoff

As much as I hate comparing games like this... there are quite a few similarities to Gears of War. Not just the 3rd person view and camera angles, but the menu and HUD also seem to be a lot alike. Not to mention one of the weapons.

However, I really don't care. I'm buying this game either way. It looks fun and seems like it would offer a lot of new experiences.

You're not seeing what I see. A few similarities is an understatement. The movement, the covers, the guns, everything! You have to look at this really close and not just see that "Oh this is different because of this and that." The guns being used for example. The Retro Lancer... just revamped. The Locust are more human like but retain the pale white color. Come on people a rip of a game is really obvious. It's like when China ripped WoW and changed a few things to make it different.

This game just looks...blah. I mean, the gravity aspect is unique, but I'm sure it's easy to exploit and will complained about almost immediately, leading to some sort of fix. As for the gameplay, I'd have to agree with the other commenters. It's got Gears' active cover system and Uncharted's over the shoulder type camera. I'm hoping this is a work in progress and they make this game more distinguishable so it can stand out against the crowd.
