You can say all you want about how important PE, NWA, and all that bullshit conscious rap was but pac was the first rapper to combine consciousness with emotion, religion, real life and a genuine thug persona, hes the only conscious rapper who never forgot where he came from and he elevated hip hop to the status of a coherent art form
