didnt you see the KOF-like dodging in the very beginning of the battle? If they made it TK-restricted move i wouldnt think its unfair. They could make EX Specials SF-restricted as a trade-off. I have the feeling most of the TK characters' specials will involve combos, because TK is more about combos, in contrast to SF where there are "iconic" moves like shoryuken, headbutt, flash kick. So making those TK specials EX-able might be broken.

I'm also confused on the more recognizable characters part since there were two characters each side, and I recognize all four of them. Mind you I don't play either game very much, recently played SF3 and only played TK 6 one day. Both games have great attacks, it's just a matter of attack preferences. Street Fighter is more strike oriented and Tekken is more combo oriented.

If you ask a person who isn't familiar about gaming and ask them what characters can name, it will most likely be from Street Fighter, as they are the easily more recognizable characters even to people who do not play these games.

Ah ok I see what you're saying. Well Street Fighter has been around longer than Tekken so among non-gamers it might make sense that they would hear of street fighter more often. But then it also depends on who around them is talking about what game. Thinking in terms of maybe the last 3-5 years both games have already become pretty popular and well known, more among gamers of course. but non-gamers hear of them and it goes back to who talks about what. but SF has seniority.

street fighter and tekken just don't go together at all... i mean, one is 2d, one is 3d. one has special moves, one doesn't. the art styles also totally clash with each other and don't look too good. plus, ranged attacks with the sf4 characters would be useless thanks to sidestepping in namco's version.
