  • good tutorial! cheerz

  • please reply man. I cant open MP4 files in sony vegas :/

  • How did you learn about Sony Vegas?

  • song ?

  • that disable resample one was smart never thought of doing that thx!

  • SONG IN THE FIRST SHOT?!

  • It doesnt work in sony vegas 10!!!!!

  • Nice! Please make more series like this!

  • thanks!

  • whazt is the song you use in the first jump shot part

  • BTW what does disable resample do?

  • Thanks some bits helped.

  • Thank you so much!

This fixed several problems I have had while editing in Vegas.

A problem I still have: My preview screen shows around 3-9 FPS (Video files are: 60FPS) is there a way to have it play at 30-60FPS while previewing my edit? Thanks.

  • @TheFraudOfDestiny It's just how fast your computer can preview it, I'm guessing it's a laptop not an 8GB RAM desktop? Make do with it :/ Use the arrow keys if you need to be more precise.

  • @bennyboy6761 Heheh, yep, 4GB RAM laptop. I found out if you change the Draft quality or if you add color correction it will affect the playback. I've been editing a lot since that comment. Lol.

  • whats that song :D ?

  • my peaks disappeared but theres still sound but i peaks back how?

  • What pc do you have it edits SOOO FAST :)

  • Song name ;o?

    nice tut ;)

  • Nice love tutorials, want more with 3d programs like maya and 3dsmax, keep it up :)

  • Thank you zoRRz :D

  • Was a pretty good tutorial tbh :)

  • Awsome man i like it very helpful!

  • i really didnt know about the 1st tip, thank you (:

  • great vid

  • whats the name of the song?

but its a nice tutorial again ;)

  • More useful than I was expecting, some good new tips - thanks!

Do you always disable the resampling on your clips (including high fps PC footage)? Smart resampling seems to look a lot smoother but get some ghosting, so Im never sure which is best to go for!

I think you should continue to make more of these general type videos rather than showing how to create specific effects like VCP does. Otherwise like you say youll probably get 100s of clones with the exact same thing!

  • Thanks, helped a lot!

  • anyone know the name of the song he was using?

  • awesome tutorial. i'm sure they're people who are similiar to me in the sense that even this tutorial was a little advanced. You should really go in depth with vegas from the most beginner stuff up to exremely hard effects. I think that would make a great series.

  • Pretty basic stuff, but you sure know your stuff zorzz. Good Shit

  • THANK U SO MUCH PLEASE DO MORE Tutorials

  • "this tutorial hasnt been exciting" lol

its a tutorial should be informative and helpful, which it did and ty for that.

Everyone expecting excitement on a tut should deagle himself lol

  • u answered most questions i needed to know, you should do more vegas tutorials.

  • the little sorry tutorials help me the most :D haha i love learning short cuts. haha

  • been working with vegas for like 3years now and I still learned some new shortcuts, thanks zorrz : )

  • what song is that it sound sicks

  • zoRRz you are Beast .

  • thanks!

  • Great Tutorial, I have been working with sony vegas for a long time now and i was still able to learn a lot from this tutorial. Keep it up!

  • lol i just watched this, and i had to lower my ak clip because it was all distorted

  • aussie is FTW

  • i knew 90% of this but im still bad at editing :( good job though gordon ;)

  • @xStanley360 That's because being a good editor has nothing to do with program knowledge. Every person in S9 will agree.

  • MORE!

  • Audio fettish ;)

  • Nice tut but omg your vegas lagg soo mutch that its painful to watch xD

  • @BLaXXr Actually I just rendered the tutorial in a low frame rate.

  • dont show any unecissary plug-ins that everyone are going to whore.

  • S1ck clips =O hahahahha xDD

  • Nice tut. It should help a lot of people. :)

  • Can you help me with slowing or fast forwarding audio? I can't do it... HELP!

  • Nice tutorial, but you should actually lower the sound of the music, not the master. Your music will still be clipping but at a lower volume.

  • @Ronin6337 Not true, the clipping will not occur unless the audio output exceeds 0dB in the master.

  • @StudioN9ne It's still there. The OUTPUT was clipping because of the INPUT of the music was too hot. You need to lower the INPUT or it will still be there. I do ausio visual work for a living and deal with this a lot. I'm not trying to start an argument, still really enjoy all of your vids, but by lowering the master, you are just lowering the WHOLE volume and not the source volume that is peaking.

  • @Ronin6337 I know what you are saying, but this simply how vegas works. I will make a video and upload it privately if you need me to. Just take an mp3 that maxes out at 0dB and then boost the track it is on 12dB then cut the bus by, say, 20dB so in general it is quieter. According to you it should still be clipping but at a lower output volume. But no, there is no clipping. Its not considered an output until after it leaves the master.

  • thanks.. i was pretty tired of hearing that. especially when im youtube dling a song with distortion kus i cant find it anywhere else. :S

  • Good tutorial, i'd like to see more :D

  • This is an editing channel so most of the viewers have at least basic knowledge of these things. Just pointing this out. But you are right to start from basics nonetheless :)

    Nice Tut :)

  • FFS??? what is there to dislike?

  • How do you make the music sound distant? Can you do that in Sony Vegas, Final Cut or After Effects? Googled unsuccesfully.

  • @lololFilip I think your referring to adding reverb. Its a basic effect you can do in all the editing suites you mentioned. Reverb, for example is an effect that alters the audio sound to sound as if its being played in a 'Large Hall'

  • @METAL2804 This is correct. Reverb is the main effect for making sounds sound distant.

  • I never new that about re-merging the audio. I always used audio envelopes to remove the unwanted noise or like you say, replace the gun sounds completely.

  • nice ill try to make some aswell ^^

  • n00b question..

how does i get v3gas on my mac...

  • @AussieSN1P3R what you do is go to BRA223RZ.com and it will show you from thier ^_^ <3

  • @AussieSN1P3R You cant get it on a mac, believe me, I've tried

  • @JakeyJeffery LOLOL

  • is that xp ? o-O

  • more !!!!

  • How do you do that grid, in the timeline?

  • I knew absolutely none of these things lolol thanks man ;)

  • nice vid, it'd be cool if you made one solely about video editing, rather then audio, because for most people a song is a song :D

  • Holy shit I knew like NONE of these things :o

  • You should do some seriously advanced stuff next time!

  • good tips keep them coming

  • This was actually SUPER helpful! The last bit about the gunshots being loud but the fluff around it being muted was like ... SO what I wanted to do in a video a week or so back but I didn't know how! AND the slow-mo bit was helpful, I have a video up that sounds terrible because I didn't do that fix to it and it sounds all distorted and shit :\

  • i'm asking about the good windows for editing not what do you use ..so 7 or xp is better ?

  • @ExplodingRageX hmm.. both should be good. But I would go with xp

  • xp or 7 for editing ?

  • @AxysHD The name of the song is. Glitch Mob vs. La Roux. You can download it for free on theglitchmob's website

  • I really liked it. Got more advanced tips for Sony Vegas?

  • keep up with great tuts ;)

  • what's the song you used?

  • I <3 you :D

  • Thanks, that was really good help. This is the kind of tutorials that i needed

  • And I tought I knew alot of Sony Vegas in the past 4 years.... Zorzz made me open my eyes. xD

  • Puddles of semen...

  • @dcskill best comment ever!

  • @StudioN9ne :D

  • good tutorial zorzy boy :)

  • QUAAAD.

    That was needed.

But what if there is a nade exacly on the gun shot?

  • @xZiiFt Then you take a gunshot from another clip and replace the grenade gunshot with it.

  • @StudioN9ne That fails =D

  • This helped alot, thanks.

  • I knew all of this from before, but this is not a tutorial for my level. But im sure this is awesome for people who are kinda new with vegas!

  • @razorGamingEdits You'd be suprised how many editors don't know this.

  • @PhazeDesigns Well, if you have edited for a while you should know this.

  • @razorGamingEdits I've edited for ages and I didn't know everything in this.

  • This is awesome.. thanks guys :D

  • OMFG ITS ZOOOORRZZ

  • first

  • @StudioN9ne -.-

  • @MrTekken138 you wanted it, didnt you?

  • @StudioN9ne noooo..! :D
