  • WHAT IS THAT PHONE?????????

  • me gusta

  • I use to play MODERN COMBAT,.. Made it to rank 48 online..

  • I.WANT.DAT.PHONE.!

  • Why is Bear Grylls at CES working for Intel?

  • HOLY SHIT!!

  • Comment removed

  • This is seriously the future, imagine the possibilities with such small form factors and energy efficient chips.

  • Thanks for you answer! I did find you comment earlier funny, made me chuckle a bit. But I was really hoping for the answer cause I'm interested to see what's new with this Intel chip. Thanks a lot though!

  • is this chip an ARM chip or what?

  • @KRE8TVT "Intel for Cellphones" after seeing that title, asking whether or not its an ARM chip is almost as bad as asking if its made by AMD.

  • @rahmanroni Thanks for the sarcasm but really, if you had all of that to say, you could have easily answered the question. But judging from your comment, it seems to be that it isn't an ARM chip? ARM is just an architecture, Tegra 3 is an ARM chip, so is TI OMAP and Qualcomm. SO if you actually know the answer or anyone reading this does, please reply sincerely. I appreciate any help!

  • @KRE8TVT Sorry, that didn't come out the way I wanted it to. Thought it'd be funny or w.e. Anyways, this chip is based on Intels own designs. That was one of the main concerns because a lot of apps are specially coded/optimized for arm based chips, so they either wont run properly or run at all on a new architecture, such as atom. However, intel said it has an emulator built in and they are giving training to devs that makes apps run faster on arm and intel chips.

  • holy shit that was amazing.

  • so it will run android not ios... yeah.. iphone will die...

  • Wow the 360 Video was awesooooome!

  • is this x86 based processor ?

  • That is quite smooth on Android. It'll be superb on iOS and WP7 devices.

  • The only thing good from that phone is the 360 camera

  • It is the same thing to have a Motorola xoom 2 or a fiona tablet and bet it can't. Be cheaper than all the devices mentioned above

  • Is that 360 video real time or already recorded

  • Prototype? I cant find it anywhere on the net

  • He said 180P, that's better than 240P! lol

  • how do we know someone isn't doing this on a computer in the back?

  • @armyofsporks1 mostandroids havemicro hdmi

  • can we say andriod is comming along now??

  • Where is the VLC player?

  • And its vanilla! Im in lovee

  • Looks great but it really doesn't translate well on an android device

  • wait is it a single or dual core?

  • @mbaseballpro2 Try dual core or quad core. Single core processors went out with 2010. I'd guess quad core.

  • @MBP6705 it is single core, not dual core

  • @mbaseballpro2 lol don't listen to MBP6705 he apparently don't know what he is talking about its a 1.6GHz single core with Hyper Threading more cores and more mhz does not always mean more power in the cpu world.

  • When does the phone comes out? :)

  • wow! cool!

  • As a matter of principle, I try and watch all the ads that run on your channel to help you earn a living. But a 2 1/2 minute for that college is way too long. I refuse to sit through that.

  • AMAZING VID!!!

  • I am assuming Samsung may use this processor in some of their phones? if you pause it at 3:59 you can see the Kies logo which is exclusively Samsung.

  • Can't wait until Windows Phone 8 starts using other chips like this. I don't think any chip in existence could fix Android stutter and lag.

  • @rhinnawi95 Yeah, I do agree about the stutters, but its still a huge improvement.

  • Intel does a ton load of scientific research, so I like that Intel offers scientists ways to get into the field of technology.

  • Yeah.....no thanks. Intel is less reliable then my mothers period.

  • Install windows 7 on it and play crysis see how well that works on it

  • is it 3g or 4g.

  • That's awesome! I just wish Android would be a little more polished up and stop lagging so it doesn't require all that power for smooth performance.

  • @rhinnawi95 Actually, Ice Cream Sandwich has Hardware acceleration. The previous versions of Android didn't, hence the laggyness.

  • @Killerdude240 I've played around with ICS on a Nexus Prime, and it still studdered and lagged a bit, though nowhere near as badly as my Droid X does now.

  • 1.6 GHz single-core?

  • That dragon game.... Rip off of Tiny Wings...

  • i like how everyone is commenting on the p[hone when this is a presentation for the CPU! intel isnt releasing the phone

  • Pretty good for a phone, but it is about the same speed as the A5 in the iPad 2.

  • What about a tablet?

  • time to watch movies :D

  • 5 hrs of browsing ? nah tats wat apple said.

  • ARM>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>686

  • Even though I was never an Atom fan, I think it's found its rightful home.

  • If Intel develops processors for phones, now when they say fast phones they are going to mean it. Soon the intel core i7 extreme will run on phones

  • @BriansPS3 you obviously don't know anything about processors, desktop processors are way more powerful and require a LOT more power and heat deflection...can you put a huge copper heatsink in a phone?

  • @BriansPS3 playing pc like games on phones..... FUTURE!

  • @artilleryisbetter Intel processor doesn't mean Windows games built for desktop Intel desktop processors. This processor probably has a completely different architecture.

  • true but still a steep towards better gaming on phones with these processors

  • @BriansPS3 Useless if battery technology doesn't catch up.

  • @BriansPS3 No. The atom is a long way away from an I7 extreme or even an i3. I7 has a far too high tdp to go into a phone.

  • @Protoking he meant in a long time from now we will have amazingly fast six core processors in phones

  • @eranaldi9 lol and once we go to quantum computing all silicon chips are going to be seen as shit and we will say "back in my day 6 cores was good"

  • None of this is really that impressive...

  • My iPod 4th gen is better than this shit.

  • that 360 video thing was pretty cool. js

  • OMG THAT PHONE IS EPIC! I swear we're going to see like quad-core intel chips in our phones soon!

  • Seemed extremely good, but i`m not pretty sure about its battery

  • I want this phone!!! Beats the iPhone already (unless the iPhone 5 beats it)

  • @wolfassassin15 If it's that good then they'll probably use it on iPhone 5 as well :P.

  • Holy crap!

  • This looks sick..

  • but will it blend?

  • @AtsuikajiOtoko23 Will you blend?

  • am i the only one wondering why he is filming theis guys penis for so long in the beginning?:P

  • rob thomas <3

  • Rob Thomas is great!

  • AMD AMD AMD LOL jk ARM FTW on mobile

  • 3G psssshhhh wow

  • ....this thing runs smooth as eggs

  • 1.6GHz SINGLE core? :l

  • Xzibit at monster boot

  • ...does the phone come with that tv?

  • Love this phone

  • android + intel cpu/gpu = perfection

  • The computer im on is using an atom procceser

  • Wait, how does 360 degree camera work, able to see the people behind him? Does the camera go through him or something?

  • @SonicMaverick3000 It works same way like google's street view works.

  • @SonicMaverick3000 There are a bunch of cameras going around and up on a rig.

  • 14 days on standby my ass

    THUMPS UP IF YOU AGREE.

  • looks good

  • No sympathy for the tiny wings ripoff. The dev never ported his game so obviously someone was going to.

  • i bought the full dragon fly game (no ads), i think its better than tiny wings even though its a copy.

  • damn that's sweet, and on android!

  • if it don't have ICS i'm not interested

  • Tiny wings copy, what a joke

  • I am really not a big fan of intel.. but this looks nice

  • why wouldn't he play MC3.. instead he has the MC2 with much worse grafix.

  • "Tiny Wings" with ads?

    No, thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • Bummmm bum bum bum bum, intel

  • this looks amazing

  • pretty good chip. seems fast. as of now its been just ARM that had the hold on smartphone/tablet chips. Good to see Intel back

  • 2.06 KNIFE!! lol

  • I love it when Intel steps up to the plate and just goes "This is what we can do, what can you do?"

  • Now I have a reason to get a smartphone.

  • Did he say Intel went mobile? Doesn't he know Intel has been making laptop processors for years? Jon has been giving us wrong info

  • @spaceboy2686 not all laptops are inherently mobile, some require you to buy a battery for it, I know I have had two laptops that require you to have them plugged into a power supply at all times.

  • @spaceboy2686 mobile, as in mobilephone. usually laptops are referred to portable. and yes they provide processers to lots of people, also i am fairly sure iphones have an intel chip in them. What he means is that they are producing phones now.

  • @AjblueDesign The iPhone does not have an Intel chip. All smartphones these days use an ARM chip, this is the first smartphone that is powered by Intel.

  • Its not from apple so no thanks.

    BTW sad tiny wings copy.

  • Intel should of just put a i7 core in it..then I would of been interested but Nvidia quadcore has my attention :)

  • If anyone is interested it's/should be clocked at 1,6GHz :D, but it's a single core -_-", it has got hypethreading though...

  • Fuck.. Just got my new phone.....

  • No specs? Serious? 99% of the people here are only interested in the specs, this presentation should be on the cpu not the phone's ability to run apps and hookup to TV's...

  • @fredosstudio its 1.6 ghz.

  • i think it has more ram hmm..

  • Developers running out of ideas? Geez..

  • @supbrotv are you sure? Even if it's somehow possible, I highly doubt it can run smoothly. I don't even think that phone can play 1080p by itself.

  • i want that car lol

  • Intel atom sucks! I'm sorry it sucks!

  • @mrbeady9 And you back that claim with what?

  • @clm51193

Oh, I've used Intel atom net-books they sucked! But it was at my school and they buy crap PCs. Plus they may have improved them. Just from my experience.

  • Wow tiny wings wtf

  • Comment removed

  • That game is a disgusting copy of Tiny Wings...

  • @QUlDgames it really is disguising.

  • @QUlDgames

    noticed that .. :P

  • Dragon fly is like 50fps on my shitty xperia x8. LIARRR!!!

  • 360 deg video is cool!

  • They may be late to the game but that doesn't mean that they can't make a good processor for mobile devices. They have examples from all the other manufacturers, and a background in making computer processors and with proper research and development can make something way ahead of the curve.

  • The thing that amazes me is that it's doing all this while outputting to a TV. So there's that.

  • @jordanpoitra nothing revolutionary..even the iphone 3gs can run games on a hdtv

  • @supbrotv Yeah I suppose there's that, but what I mean is that you can do this without fusing your fingers to one another doing so. Just playing Bejeweled Blitz for 5 minutes on my iPhone 4 gets it hot. (that's what she said)

  • @jordanpoitra and on 1080P!

  • arm will be better for mobile phone cpus where intel for desktop and laptops

  • Is this single core intel atom better than the new tegra 3 quadcore?

  • Intel is three years too late to the mobile CPU game.

  • It has single core 1.6 Ghz processor!

  • oh man, now phones are gonna be twice as expensive with intel phones

  • The only thing that impressed me was the fact that it didn't get hot.

  • 3:34 Pedophile

  • If they made a Mango device with the intel Z2460 I'd buy it!

  • Lol, it can run Dragon, Fly! smoothly. Really? My suckish Galaxy mini doesn't have any problems whatsoever with it. Still, it looks kinda nice overall.

  • what???? tiny wing rip-off!!!

  • Cool

  • should have shown more of the car instead

  • "You can click on links" Best phone ever!

  • The only thing that I was impressed about is the 360 video

  • It's funny how most of the tests they show are graphics based, the one thing that isn't intel on Medfield(Intels Atom for phones we just saw) the graphics is run by PowerVR's popular GPU.

  • @danielholgaard its made by the same developer..

  • How much cores has this device??

  • @HackingDutchman one core, two threads, it uses Hyperthreading.

  • 1:25 That's a freaking Android rip-off of Tiny Wings.

  • i like the the phone wont get hot, but please show something that is really demanding...

  • That is so amazing. All these people being sarcastic are obviously stupid...

  • It was only a matter of time lol

  • @d00nda cant tell whether ur trolling or just stupid.

  • Is it duel core?

  • @davidenelson He's been doing demos all morning, and for the phone to not get hot, is pretty impressive.

  • I want this phone.

  • is it ARM or x86?

  • @XtremeBratmaxe Its an atom processor, it isn't ARM or x86. This processor is used in netbooks.

  • @SOF006 Atom Processors are x86-64 thats why i wonder why this thing runs android

  • they look happy.

  • and that is why we love Intel.
