The Transformers were created by Primus, who lured Unicron into the phsycial realm, trapping him in an asteroid. Primus became Cybertron, Unicron developed the ability to Transform, which Primus then emulated in his creations.
Grimlock is a cold-hearted hard nut in his tech specs and in the comics, he's an anti-hero. How many toylines have characters as ambiguous as Grimlock, Mirage, Thundercracker, Swindle, Sunstreaker, etc. Who doesn't empathise with Ultra Magnus?

Primus the god of light and guardion of all life, he trys to stop Unicron by forsing him leave his god form he could trap him and himself into 2 giant metal planets. later they changed there prisons into a monster planet (Unicron) and a living world (Cybertron/Primus) and this movie is when Unicron is when he trys to get his revenge :P
No matter how much you try to down this movie, (and don't get me wrong, you're points are extremely valid) it still rocks! Just hearing the Touch play while Optimus Prime entered the battle (and you forgot to add his killcount to the pile) shows up brought a tear to my eye, literally! Yes, it was capitalism at its worst but there are times when even greedy, corporate gold-diggers earn their dollars.

Personally, I'm not that big a fan of the Critic's really over the top reactions. Not everything has to be cranked to 11 all the time. Not that I'm saying he isn't funny, I just find him way too obnoxious sometimes.
I like the Chick's articulate jokes paired with well researched reviews, they just feel more intelligent.
But hey, not everyone likes the same things, so there ya go.

You know Chick should of pointed out Critic couldn't revivew the 86 Transformers movie becuase he didn't put Optimus Prime's death on the top 11 Sad Nostagliac moments. And the reason for Optimus and the others death shoudl of been mentioned in the top 11 fuck up reviews.
