  • Do they teach this in the DVD or do they just show it?

  • @evilpoo212 They teach it!

    Sam

  • u think you coukd fool me with that xd well you did it 3 times :d

  • tut Pl0x

  • @TheSlayer391 Dream on.

  • I've never seen this move before and it looks really good. I can only imagine how much cleaner it looks after a year of practice.

  • Love the simplicity of this move.

  • very nice mate don't listen to the twts who hate.

    keep up the good work.

  • The Pop out move is smooth, the flip really needs more practice...

  • @magicianww Look at how long ago this was uploaded...I have progressed since then. Always take the date into consideration before you comment.

    Sam

  • Very very smooth. Better than I could have ever hoped to do it.

  • how the card pops out?

  • Excellent pop out production!

  • I think alot of what you did was obvius but the pop out production was the absaloute best I've seen, you really should perfect the rst of it because if you did you would be one of the best, few people can make portal look good.

  • @Omatollis Thanks! And what I say to alot of people is, is that notice this video is older than a year old? ;) I have practiced this alot since it's upload, and I might put out a video at some point.

    Sam

  • Dayummm I just checked this again and saw that it has 10,000+ views :D Thanks guys!

    Sam

  • nice job!

  • i smell magic

  • The first reveal, where he reveals the 7 of diamonds is a double flip. He takes the top card and puts it into the other deck, while the 7 of diamonds remains in its original deck the entire time.

  • Please do practice your double. The rest are all pretty neat.

  • @helenzlazzli Think about the time and date of which this video was made...a long time ago, right? Watch my newer videos, of course I would have practiced since then!

    Sam :P

  • i suck at doing card tricks, because i have no sleight of hand. double lifts, triple lifts, flipping and sliding.. so i have to give props because you did a good job. but i still figured out how you did it :]

  • I figure this out a long time ago but that card appearing at the end still puzzle my mind. My theory is that this is a gimmick and it needs rubber band :DDD

  • @A1ll9e5n There is no gimmick involved.

  • @TheCactusBoi I knew you were gonna say that. ^_^

  • @A1ll9e5n Not at all. Pure SOH.

  • it took me along time to figure this out. great performance

  • Very impressive!

  • How

  • @magicmania011 Buy andthensome by Dan and Dave, and you'll find out :)

    Sam

  • no need its easy !

  • omg

dan and dave bak not buk

  • @TroyC556 But how did I do the trick itself, huh? ;)

    Sam

  • i dont know how to do the double lift ~_~

  • i just figured out how to do it with your performance

  • Good, but try to cover your breaks abit more. The move itselfs was awesome.

  • nice but...improve the double

  • i know how it's done but know you poped the card out...

  • is portal as hard as people say....

  • @magicundercover At first, yes. But after a bit of practice, as with anything, it will start to become easy. The effect in general is very easy. It's just that last bit.

    Sam

  • @TheCactusBoi I was able to get this pretty easily, but I'm still having trouble making to as smooth as you did. When I do it it looks so awkward!!

  • dun und dave Book

  • figured it out exceptde last bit

  • @ethanbev1804 Lol.....well thats not hard at all.

  • @ethanbev1804 nt my fault lyk im pretty slow

  • whats the name of the cards??

  • @Luisdaple Tally-ho circle backs. They are very common

  • @jerrysmcnuggets Which is better? bycicle or this ones??

  • @Luisdaple Tally-hos last longer

  • @Luisdaple They will only be better if you order the ones made in the old factory. The new ones are flimsy, waxy, and just terrible. But the old ones are probably the best all around cards. They look amazing, handle amazing, and last a long time.

    Sam

  • remember to show the card that pops out, before you bring your hands together..

  • how do you exactly do the pop up thing i cant seem to do it :(

  • Comment removed

  • @WallofMagic No.

    Sam

  • @WallofMagic So I suck because I wont give a free tutorial? You are the one that sucks, you watch YouTube tutorials on tricks and don't bother to buy the DVD's. I think I have made myself pretty clear, YouTube tutorials are wrong.

    Sam

  • @WallofMagic Did you notice that this video was uploaded April 2010? Yeah, thats nearly a year ago.

  • Comment removed

  • tip: before the production put the straddle gripped card in underneath the spread. this will hide the moves with the thump and make it lokk smother!

  • are you british ?

  • @Nuadu96 I am :)

    Sam

  • I get how this works but I am wondering how the card shoots out

  • very clean!

  • that was actually pretty good and smooth, good job

  • Lol.. hes encouraging hi mto mke more videos but entering... you also make tutorials on card flourishes? you just the same as the otehr people wh reveal tricks

  • @Magicdudex1 Totally different arts right there. Flourishes and cardistry don't contain secrets because you can see exactly what's going on.

  • @MarkHilkemeijer noooo.no no no, you dont see every thing thats going on

  • @Magicdudex1 Maybe you don't, but others definitely do. There is nothing magical about flourishes. They are meant to show skills, not to display the impossible and baffle people with that.

  • @Magicdudex1 lol yeah, there is no secret to flourishing. and the flourishes i teach are my own.

  • @TheCactusBoi sybil?

  • @Magicdudex1 yes, but that is what in the flourishing world what we call 'fundamental'. If you are going to want to flourish, you should really learn Sybil first. Just like charlier cut, revolution cut, swing cut etc.

  • @TheCactusBoi hey lets stop arguing ?

  • why did u delete my comment?

  • @Magicdudex1 why do you think, you were going to teach people this for free. when really, they should buy the DVD.

  • @TheCactusBoi Yes, some people arent as wealthy as you or me, and cant afford it so im offering free magic :)

  • @Magicdudex1 Well you clearly arent a true magician.

  • @TheCactusBoi maybe im not,but atleast im out there trying man

  • @Magicdudex1 trying? trying to what, reveal magician's secrets and ruin the whole purpose of the trick all together?

  • @TheCactusBoi Then wtf is dan and dave doing? revealing it but being cheap and making you pay for it..

There still revealing he trick, the whole purpose of magic as you say

  • @Magicdudex1 They are revealing it yes, but, they are making money for it, if they are going to reveal a trick that they created, they are going to want something back. Thats how DnD make a living, selling their effects, not giving them away for free. They want people to buy the DVD so they can make money to bring out new DVDS, decks, books etc. If you go and give the tutorial away for free, DnD wont be making that money.

  • @Magicdudex1 You really really should have a good look at this video: youtube.com/watch?v=vQBKiJkuk0g

It has subtitles too so I am sure you will understand. Thanks.

  • @MarkHilkemeijer i have watched your videos, but with all due respect its none of your buisnes :)

  • @MarkHilkemeijer and plus mismag822 doing tutorials hes the one of the populist magicians on youtube.. you entered his contest?? why?

  • @Magicdudex1 ok, allow me to re-phrase that. You said he is 'one of the most popular MAGICIANS on youtube' you called him a magician, he isnt a magician. He is some guy who knows a few basic sleights that reveals tricks. we never said anything about contests. i have spoken to Jay (mismag822) on several occasions, through personal messages, and sure, he is a cool guy, but he knows i dont agree with revealing tricks, and he understands why i would disagree.

  • @TheCactusBoi Well said. Jay doesn't even quite agree with people calling him a magician. He knows his handlings aren't the best. Unlike many of his viewers, Jay knows he isn't good enough and shouldn't be called a magician. I (and I'm sure TheCactusBoi too) respect him for that, just not for the tutorials and magic exposure.

  • @Magicdudex1 How is it none of my business if it's ruining the art I practice?

I joined Jay's contest because it was one of the few contests that didn't require tutorials. Because Jay couldn't figure out the trick, he banned me at first because I wasn't willing to make a tutorial of it. I made a huge statement by having a lot of Jay's regulars actually see the trick live and teaching it to those who care about the art. Jay had no choice of getting me back into the contest.. and I won.

  • (cont.) Plus, I have been 100% succesful as for magic contests. It was a challenge that couldn't quite go wrong. It got a bit doubtful when TricksterAP took part in there too, but I still was pretty sure of placing first.

Jay even called me his arch-enemy. We are friends now as for persons, but as for exposure vs. anti-exposure actions we still disagree with each other big time.

I hope you noticed you called him a populist? I don't think he'd be very happy with that. ^^

  • @MarkHilkemeijer i ment hes poplular

  • @MarkHilkemeijer Why don you teach me tricks? if its all this private crap your going on about ill just make a private video and who ever wants it gets it

  • @Magicdudex1 I don't teach you tricks because I now know what you are going to do with them. You have absolutely no rights to teach tricks others spend days, weeks and sometimes even years on. How do you not get that it's extremely disrespectful?

  • @MarkHilkemeijer Omfg you guys are sooo argumentative, how would you know what im going to do you don't even know me i have my own opinion, it doesnt really matte considering this is a wannabe place for wannabe magicians

  • Just have to get the point across, YouTube tutorials are bad!

  • @Magicdudex1 Haha, I am pretty sure this all started by you saying you would give tutorials to those who would ask. That's exactly what you are/were going to do and that's what we disagree with.

But fine, let's stop this. It's not that we didn't make our point already.

  • I love ur pop out it's so clean mine looks too obvious

  • @Magicdudex1 no dude...just no.

  • Can anyone send me a private video of the vanish and flick thing? i figured it out i just need to learn how to vanish the card and flick it back out

  • @BeTheDream123 no, i doubt anyone will either. buy the DVD!

  • is andthensome good cuz i might get it ive got trilogy

  • @mrcardtricks987 andthensome is an excelent additon to the trilogy, i highly reccomend you buy it.

    Sam

  • please revealed it!! my parents cant afford the to buy them and i really want to learn it. please help.

  • @galaxyboy6 lol, no i will not reveal it. That would be copyright, and against magic.

    Sam

  • @TheCactusBoi tricks are never copyright

  • @closeuptrix97 Yes they are...

  • @TheCactusBoi ok im going to reveal all the trilogy tricks and hopefully i mite get sued lol ur a dumbass

  • @closeuptrix97 Hopefully you might get sued? Hopefully? Your the dumbass XD And if you were a good magician, you would know that revealing tricks over YouTube is generally classed as wrong. Especially if they are put out for sale by a magician.

    Sam

  • @TheCactusBoi your a dickhead. i said it sarcastically and your the crap magician

  • @closeuptrix97 So I'm a dickhead for being right and you can't create any excuses for a comeback. So you just use, 'your a dickhead'. Verrrry cool, big sign of an intellegent person. Before you call me a crap magician, take a look at my channel and see that I have 1400+ subscribers saying differently. But yeah, go ahead. Reveal the tricks from the Trilogy. You just see what happens.

  • @TheCactusBoi actually it would be breach of copyright :p

  • @galaxyboy6 its easy to figure out tho, i didnt buy the dvd but i know how its done

  • is there a gimmick

  • @MAGICdudesup there is no gimmick involved in this effect, it is 100% sleight of hand!

    Sam :)

  • yeah nice double lift but sup with that shoot thing howdya do that?

aand what is that deck calld?

  • @supgayboyz hehe, this deck is Tally-Ho! These are the 'Circle Back' version, but they also come in 'Fan Back'!.

    Sam

  • @MagicBoy249 wow man, thanks alot!!! :D

    Sam

  • i like shooting the card at the spectator, WAPAHH!

  • Should I get trilogy or andthensome?

  • @ghostbuster117 i would say get the trilogy first, because on andthensome they refer to things that feature on the trilogy, so it could get confusing. get the trilogy, learn the techniques on there and then buy andthensome. ;)

    Sam

  • @ghostbuster117 both

  • lol kwl but i kinda saw how u did it lol

  • learn more magic @ layhtangone(dot)com

  • WOW thx for enterin san it means alot!

  • I bought the dvd. I reccomend it to everybody.

  • One tip: Don't show the preparation of the card for the move..

  • What is the music? Dana Hocking or?

  • Everything was nice and all but i highly suggest that you dont show yourself getting ready for the pop out move. Trust me, it looks a whole lot better when you cant see the pop out move preperation. This is just something to take into consideration but overall good work! thumbs up and faved it!

  • loved that trick very well done

  • For me is the hardest when the card vanishing... Cause when I get it to vanishing the spread don't looks so good as yours D=

  • It looks like you doing a video-cut when it pop out but i'm know the trick and that you don't take a video cut !! xD

  • Wow!!!,verry nice performence!! :D

  • @123ingenting thanks 123 ;)

  • @Thunder3711 sorry mate, i dont make tutorials ;) but you can learn this on the dvd 'andthensome' by dan and dave buck. i highly reccomend it :)

  • WOW!!!

    Awesome =D

    Thumbs up

  • Nice One Sam

a little tip when getting that card in Straddle grip, sort of move the right hand up then down drawing the spectators attention to there, but overall very nice!

  • @MrDookieProductions hey mrdookie! did you get the FM5 GOODY BAG??

  • @TheCactusBoi yes, but I am waiting to get my camera back tomorrow so I can make a video and open it, it is still sealed

  • 5/5 , although the part when you made your fan smaller made it a little suspicious

  • wow! very good!

  • loved it!

  • good job but u need to work on wen the card pops out. it made no sense that u ppushd over the top card from the other packet.

  • nice man good peformance we are still doing our video ok just im filming 4 it now just here and there

  • @masterillusions thanks, and yeah, i cant wait to do the collab. i have been practising my flourishes ;)
