  • WOW!!! I am tingling all over!!!

  • incredible, you can feel the passion!

  • Incredible, amazing, heartwrenching, bravisima!

  • Why are they doing this. it sounds like hell...:(

  • q loooooocoo!!

  • codyclarke1 - It has been two yrs from when you left your ignorant comment. Maybe by now you have found out what true talent is in this dime a dozen musical day and age. Yes, "LED" was fantastic, but so many other bands filled that time with some of the most unforgettable music. The greatest bands back then were made up of true and pure artists. I am glad to have seen almost all of the greatest bands play live.

  • such great of speed and professionell......great

  • Visit our channel: prog-rock band "Gran Torino": our album is coming in 2011: grantorinoProg.

  • I saw them play at Michigan State a couple of years ago, Great show but Lucia blew me away with that violin, she was amazing!

  • This is the only reason why i miss playing the violin.

  • LED ZEP nr 1 forever and ever !!!!

  • Awesome Awesome Awesome and I saw them live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @enkadino Me too! I saw them play this in carnegie hall! They also played the love song from the Godfather and bohemian rhapsody!!! And also the entire Aquaklung album!

  • "Who has the vocals of Freddie Mercury?"

Believe it or not Pink does an excellent cover of Bohemian Rhapsody.

  • I LOVE HER!! Dont take her away from me Never Ever EVER!! ;o)

  • stupenda versione di kashmir

  • a morena é o ziza!!

  • OMG she is like a volcano.

    more than great!

  • I saw her tonight at the Kennedy Center in DC. She was great!!

  • She's more animated than Anderson.This Rocks.

  • Good. It's funny how these violin players always move hysterically though.

  • I've seen these two playing and I was bursting in tears... incredible!!!!

  • I saw Jethro Tull open for Led Zepplin back in 1969 in San Antonio. Blew me away then and still does.

  • this woman give me chills when she plays

  • Personally I prefer listening to "A Passion Play" or "Baker Street Muse" by Tull than anything Zep ever did. Besides Page and Plant stole every big song Zep recorded in the early years, and Willie Dixon sued them and won!

  • h9socialist = fail

  • Page and Plant stole the songs they wrote???

  • Oh My God...

This is music! This is music, guys!

  • My god... this is great.

  • Man this is sending shivers over my spine.

  • I know of no band today that has the all-encompassing musical talent of the greats of the classic rock era. They don't have the musical educations to begin with. Jethro Tull, Zepellin, Deep Purple, Yes, Genesis, Queen, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Bowie, etc. These artists were incorporating everything from classical to blues to reggae to jazz to opera to folk into their songs, they were being influenced by literary, historical and philosophical themes. Who has the vocals of Freddie Mercury?

  • dude yea but seriously man they may have had the training and diversity but their songs have noooo feeling or emotion and they try to compensate by being super loud, zeppelin can be 5 times as heavy with half the distortion and only 1 guitar player and no guitars tuned low. Not even that do you really think avenged sevenfold will be remembered 30 years from now? They have potential to be truly great, but thats not what they are right now.

  • yeah, because Black Sabbath had classical training.

People said exactly the same thing back in the seventies about Frank Sinatra, and Johnny Cash. You're flaunting ignorance.

  • Although I largely agree that musical education usually makes a big difference, this doesn't always bear out - even in the "classic rock" era - guys like Jimi were making some incredible music with minimal musical education.

Fast forward to today, however, and there are some phenomenal groups making highly complex music with thought-provoking lyrics - check out Glass Hammer, Dream Theater, Transatlantic, Spock's Beard, Neal Morse, Liquid Tension Experiment, etc...

  • no one has...

  • did you forget the who

  • @AlexTrevelyan So true I love that stuff The best tunes ever produced in my opinion,

  • @AlexTrevelyan you're right.. i would like to add another one band which influence my musical interest as well = procol harum. Procol and Pink Floyd are on my top list :)) The others are just legendary as well! those were the days..

  • @AlexTrevelyan actually, freddy used falsetto, robert plant, on my taste, overcomes freddy mercury, and i am a queen lover, besides freddy M is only good on that type of music, go listen to judy garland, or elain paige, or some opera and classical music, thats blood talent just as queens and zeppelins, just a musicians thought over a million others ;)

anywise, nice selection of generes and musicians in your comment ! loved it ! except maybe pink floyd never liked it for real

  • @AlexTrevelyan WELL SAID WELL SAID.

  • @AlexTrevelyan No one! He had a voice that will never come again.

  • @AlexTrevelyan Jeff Buckley had vocals equally amazing to Freddie Mercury's of course he had to die after only making one album.

  • Zep Leppelin! Ahah

  • why is robocop a tag on this video...?

  • Did a similar version been use in robocop? I just ask...

  • I love the old stuff as much as any of you... but I am so @%#$ tired of hearing people trash current music and exult only the onld stuff. If you dont know any good new music its because you dont listen to music or only remember the few good bands back then. But there is a million flaming pieces of crap from back then. There is also a ton of amazing artists in the current industry that are obviously below the lazy listeners radar.

  • Yes and agree with you.

We all remember the old good stuff and it was pretty good. Music is still evolving now with electronics in some areas - basically, what I am saying is that time moves on and there is still a lot of good new music if anyone dares to listen, a bit of rubbish too but that's normal.

  • Eeh, you're going to have to send me a list of some good new bands, due to massive commercialization of certain bands such as "The Jonas Brothers" I am less prone to seek out newer bands that I might like.

  • i listen to tons of modern bands and love it but for full enlightenment ,the old bands do stuff the modern ones can only dream of doing.

Take Dogs by Pink Floyd or Thick As A Brick by Jethro Tull or Tales On Topographic Oceans by Yes.

No bands can do that stuff today.

And what happened to the drums.

They pretty much have the same sound on recordings today but go back and listen Bonham,Bruford,Giles,Moon.

These drummers all had a specific sound and feel.

  • what's the venue for this performance?

it *looks* like the Music Hall in Toronto...but I'm probably wrong...

  • this was in NYC's Carniege Hall.

Fantastic Theater and a fantastic show!

  • ian is okey, but zeppelin are nr 1 forever!!!

  • tull have alway's been very good but not as commercial, it reminds of walking into my friends house a few day's ago wearing a ZEPPELIN shirt and his young teenage daughter said they were geat, oldie's but goodie's

  • tull are okey,But mighty zep is always nr 1 forever, YEEEEEEAAAA!!!!!

  • i dont think zep was ever capable of making a masterpiece like thick as a brick

    but ya know

    they're both great :D

  • CANT WE ALL JUST SING ALONG

  • I grew up with this music -- Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, etc. It can't be improved upon! Today's bands are terrible in comparison! No talent anymore -- all marketing.

  • that is awesome

  • wat u mean fu ? dont fuk him suk him u get better flavor

  • FUCK YOU!!

led zeppelin is the best band in the world!!

  • I love it when kids discover proper music, they think they are the only ones who have heard it

  • this looks like DAR Constitution Hall, Washington DC. I was at this show and this number brought the house down

  • no constitution hall has a way bigger stage

i saw dream theater there a few months ago.

  • merveilleux

  • jethro tull is one of my favy bands like led zeppelin are but ian is very ironic at the name and the succes of led zeppelin.Let's be str8 zepp have bigger succes than jethro...

  • yuck FU

  • HAHAHA !!!

  • He's right? Zeppelin will always be bigger and more famous. I love Tull, but I can't say they're 'bigger' than zeppelin.

  • Oh maybe they're better known, but I really wouldn't call that an indication of greater quality; the number of brilliant groups from this period that are still going and are barely known (Tull, WIshbone Ash, Robin Trower, to name but a few) shows this; I'd put any of these above Led Zep, good as they are.

  • kashmir debe ser considerada una de las obras maestras de todos los tiempos,un clasico sin duda al lado de de 9na de bethoven y la 40 de mozart

  • OMG- she is crrrraaaaaaaaaazy! LoL

  • i was at that concert in california with my uncle i loved it...i was 14

  • Lucia with Jethro Tull doing Led Zeppelin; its like a dream come true!

  • oO amazing

I didn't think I would consider if Led Zeppelin's version is the best or not. Today I probably will :)

  • Lucia is an INSANE violinist.Absolutely brilliant.

  • I saw both LZ and Tull in concert (don't ask when). Okay, it was in '72 and '75 in Jacksonville, FL. I thought the Tull show was much better. LZ was a major disappointment, but maybe they were just off that night.

The fact the place was oversold by 3000+ didn't help, either. But the, after sitting on a concrete step for nearly 3 hours, I'd have been ready to leave anything . . .

  • she is so hot it is beyond words

  • This is fucjing great.

  • where is this.....does anyone know?

  • Carnegie Hall Manhattan, New York. I was there I've lost count off all the concerts I've been to but this is still the best one I've gone to.

  • saw them play this in hollywood...amazing

  • is that a glass case around the drummer? afraid he gonna get shot at?

  • no... it's to make the sound better... it's his "monitor" if you will...

  • every time i see someone play the intro on the violin it scares the crap out of me. can anyone say that that is not scary

  • It's gorgeously frightening.

    Love it.

  • intresting

  • more like worms in my bum!

  • wow , totally fuking coollllllllll

  • Sacrifice of the pig oinc!oinc!

  • did he said 'Zed Leppelin' ?

  • yea

  • So? you never heard of HUMOR? get a grip Gezzzzzzzzzz

  • where was this filmed anyway? Its very good quality. I saw them in newcastle on this tour.

  • loved the Sibelius blurb in there...

    very kewl..

  • zed leppelin lmfao! i thought it was funny

  • Fantastic version, is there a full length vid out there??

  • Didnt Ian despise zep back in the day?

  • accually him and robert plant areent on great terms becasue Ian walke dup to Jimmy Page one day and said "With my lyrics and your guitar playing we'd conqure the world!" So little did Ian know Plant was right behind Ian when he said that so Robert got offended and theve never been on great terms. But i think theyve put that to rest and are on good terms now.

  • dont get me wrong i love ian. but better than robert plant? i have to say... plant is a god among men.

  • he is. Robert is amazing. But so is Ian. Hes a master at the flute.

  • Actually, Ian said "With your music and our lyrics, we could be a good little rock and roll group/band (can't remember which)

  • Yeah thats what he said. im not exatly sure what he said. All I know that it was something along those lines.

  • Ive heard Ian blamed LedZep for the loss of his dressinggowncoatything from the early days.

Think they were just rivals really. No real dislike, but ian still likes to mock them.

  • Kashir is from Zed Leppelin's 1975 album, Physical Grafitti. Tull were already well-established by that point. And Zed Lep were tax exiles, unable to tour in their own country and declining in popularity... give me Tull every time.

  • delusional dude here

  • Perhaps I should have said /temporarily/ declining in popularity. Witness the box office for 'The Song Remains the Same'... Doesn't mean it was the end of the legend, of course!

  • led zeppelin are brilliant there is no denying, but I don't think they kick Tlls anything! You should look at Tulls massive back catalogue and they are still going

  • Led Zeppelin and Jethro Tull are both amazing in their own way; its not always good to compare! :)

  • best version i ever heard - wish it would have lasted longer......

  • zed leppelin

  • ian anderson doing led zep. what a crazy thing, who would have evr thought it? Lucia is hot! i like her.

  • What, nearly as crazy as Metallica performing a Jethro Tull number? *wink*

  • holy shit - this song's original studio version can't compare to a live version by led zep or any other band.

    It's so fucking powerful

  • O começo é um pouco demais...

  • great song!

  • too much.

    calm down

  • Caralho!

  • Fantastic live!!!

  • COOL!

  • Comment removed

  • I still LOVE this video!!!! thank you sooooo much!!!

  • Ooops...wrong chords in the chorus, though! But great interpretation nonetheless...

  • Zed Leppelin! Haha! Yeah!

  • I saw this show in Denver, and still get goose bumps thinking about this song. We were in the fifth row, and couldn't believe what we were seeing. The video doesn't do it justice - I only wish they would have put one of these live shows on a cd.

  • God Bless Jethro Tull!

  • this is amazing! devilish! awesome musicans! wow!

  • great just great!!! But nobody says.. anything about JETHROO TULL !!!!!

    BUUU

  • Typical Rap fan boy...

  • typical asshole who doesn't know anything about led zeppelin. have you ever heard about em?

  • Yeah got a ton of their albums. Are you one of those people who think they know all about rock and think they're rockers just because u like Zepplin? and I don't need a list, just leave the rockin to the real rockers.

    PS: Zepplin Rules

  • paráda

  • přeně tal :D

  • its a facken psycho music

    estan a toda madre

  • I saw this show, and it was just amazing watching Lucia play; she really gets into it, and her playing is so full of emotion! ^_^x

  • well she is shaking as if she was put under high voltage

  • I think its a good idea.

  • sick cover!!!!!!!!!!

  • Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple pioneered what we classify as hard rock or heavy metal if you will..

  • You ignorant, Jethro Tull it's a Prog Folk Band.

  • Actually the person who tries to pigeonhole Jethro Tull in any kind of genre is ignorant. Anderson addresses this on his website. People who do that to bands are the death of good music like that of Danny Gatton or Captain Beyond

  • And yet Danny Gatton criticiesied the Beatles, saying their music was a "step back". I have the interview. I mean the Beatles? THE BEST pop song writers of all time? Who is Danny Gatton? An incredible guitarist amd that's about it. There are a million of him an no one cares about fast guitar players.

  • Making universal statements like "no one cares" will make you look foolish. I brought up Gatton not because he was an incredible guitarist. I brought him up becuase one of his biggest problems was his refusal to fit any certain genre. (He played some good slow songs too). He had a unique voice when his instrument spoke, not like the others you lump him with. Thanks for the feedback.

  • I'm not sure what a "universal statement" is, LOL. You picked a man who contradicts your statement. It's about the music not just playing fast. EVH is a legend not because he was the top player at one time but because he wrote great music. Danny never caught the attention of the world because his music was a vehical for his guitar playing and as impressive as it was, people don't care about how fast you can play guitar.

  • there is nobody that could out play danny not even EVH or steve vai for that matter oh when he is talking about the beatles he was probably mentioning the first couple of albums.

what interview was that and who conducted it

  • "there is nobody that could out play danny not even EVH or steve vai for that matter"

If you say that, you have not listened to Al DiMeola. If there is a God of Guitar, it is he.

  • Opps im sorry it should read no one can out play danny.

what im saying is EVH couldnt and Steve Vai couldn't out play gatton

  • can't you people shut the f*ck up about who's best for once? it doesn't matter, is not gonna make em feel better or whatever.

  • yeah freedom of speech. That's true, but when will you guys finally realize that you will never agree on such a thing, since it's opinion based. There's no such thing as a best guitarist.

  • igaz

  • saw JT at the free trade hall manchester 1969,concert finished at 22.30,
