Maybe I'm thinking too hard about this, but something that's always bugged me about this series is the physics of the actual Halo structure itself. How does it retain gravity without mass? How does it retain atmosphere without gravity? I mean, I suppose it's not that big a deal since we're already discussing a series in which humans are travelling to the other side of the Universe but it's always bugged me nonetheless.

@LazyMan9000 It's created by the Forerunners, [I don't know if you've read Ghosts of Onyx] but the forerunners came manipulate singularities, distort and manipulate time & space, hence with that comes the ability to mess with gravity. I think it would be easy for them to 'create' gravity, I mean the humans & covi do it on their space vessels, and the Halo Ring is way bigger than anything they have. Even bigger than High Charity, and that was enormous.
