  • So good!!!! :D

  • @paganspaul a few examples? Bruce Dickenson might have been huge with Samson if Iron Maiden hadnt stolen him away, Exodus madee it fairly big anyway, but they could have been even bigger if Mettalllica hadnt stolen Kirk Hammett, (not to mention following that up with stealing Jason Newstead from Flotsom and Jetsam) and how big would Quiet riot have been if Ozzy didnt steal Randy Rhodes? and thats just the very tip of the iceberg, i could go on and on (but I only have 27 characters left)

  • @Paganspaul did I say this happened in every single instance? no I said "In many cases" the guy I was responding to wasnt just talking about Girl he was talking about "many groups" and while it might not be the case for Phil Lewis, it was the case for many bands, Big bands are always picking and choosing the best guys from lesser known bands to fill in for guys who are no longer with them.

  • I LOVED THESE GUYS when they first came out! Rabid fangirl. I tried so hard to get any info I could on them - alas they broke up too quickly. I still think they were one of the best from that time!

  • there are SO many good groups like this that NEVER really got a CHANCE because radio and MTV had to play the SAME DAMN LIST every hour during the day. you MIGHT have seen this at 4:00 am once a month if you were lucky.

  • @slugtoe I think in many cases these bands got picked clean before they coudl get the big record deals, you see alot of these bands that wer eon the verge of making it big then aq bigger band comes along and takes their best members, Girl had two guys leave to join bigger bands, Phill Collin left to join Def Leppard and Phil Lewis left to join LA Guns, once those two were gone the rest of the band didnt stand a chance,

  • @borumir don't think it was really the case here. They were on their third album when they split. Phil Lewis didn't leave for LA Guns, he played with The New Torpedos and Torme and left Torme for LA Guns when they were struggling to progress from being the biggest band in London to a decent record deal.

  • すげーすげー、ありがとう!THANXX!

  • also ...Phill Collen pre Def Leppard
