Britain, Australia, and Canada were there too, along with various mixed units from Denmark, Poland and France. Russia may have gotten there first, but they were ultimately closer and linked by land. fun fact: If anyone wants to take the US, they will have to take it from east and west, not all sides, unless you want to provoke Canada. Then you'd be fighting two very large, very hard to navigate countries. The United States would also do a Hell of a lot better than this. Britain, Australia, and Canada were there too, along with various mixed units from Denmark, Poland and France. Russia may have gotten there first, but they were ultimately closer and linked by land. Plus, it was the invasion of France that gave Russia the Western front it needed to remove pressure.

The US is in a geographically strategic location, isolated by two major oceans. It would be hard for an invading superpower to sustain an invasion of the mainland. Unless a surprise first strike happens and all of our allies suddenly turns on us too.
