  • Question being the unit is of aussie mfg. is this unit made of alu. as they mine alu. there, and the price is lower there.

  • Gump said it right cant fix stupid, here we have a way to save money and electricty. and you get slick morons thinking about a hurricane blowing it away!

  • Until hurricane force winds bloooowwwsss it away :-)

  • Honestly, I would never buy from this guy. He sounds like he lost his job as a used car salesman.

  • isn't anything made in the US anymore.. no wonder the country is collapsing

  • Solahart systems are very high quality units. Not sure about the guy selling the product in the USA, he does look suspect. They are an Australian built product and have been used here in Australia for 25+ years.

  • better to put it on the ground and not screw up your roof!

  • Check the Solco unit. Thanks Ralph.

  • I have a direct contact hot water system without a boiler. Do these systems require an electric type boiler system to plug into?

  • my electric bill is 60-70 in summer in pa with electric water heater , im going to try to build a solar water heater nothing to them.

  • This guy sounds like a douchebag.

  • ussolarwind

solar water heating accounts for 25% of your energy bill.

  • If you installed this in Florida you don't have enought angle you should be between 25- 40 degrees that can't be more that 15

  • i'd like to get one of these for my house in California. Where is a good place to get one in California?

  • dont go to far go to ebay search for that item is about $600.00 plus shipping which is cheap

  • Solahart manufacturers out of Perth, Australia... Concerning the installation, you could use some insulation on those copper pipes.. (its quite an ugly install)...

  • @REnergyEngineer28 To me it looks like the only pipe not insulated is the hot water relief pipe and seeing as that is for dumped waste water why would they insulate it??

  • We have had a Solarhart solar water heater in Hawaii for 26 years and it still works fine. We had it serviced a couple of times, and that was all. It uses no energy to operate. Produces enough hot water for a family of 6 with no problem. Typical electric bills in Hawaii are 150 per month because we do not have natural gas and people use electric water heaters. Our electric bill is about 50 dollars a month.

  • Who in florida bsides hotels is paying $100 a month on hot water?

Now if you said heating and AC bill that would include everybody.

  • Solar equipment seems to be well finished. Is it an australian or american product?

  • Watch the video and actually pay attention this time.

  • @dongatito Solahart is made in Perth, Western Australia. They ship to 95 countries world wide.
