The end days may be gererations away. So should we that see finacial troubles ahead (crash of the dollar or food prices go through the roof) be prepairing to feed our families while we can. Just like Joseph did in Genesis 41?
@cpaulpsy No one knows the day or the hour. So no comment. As for storing food. If you do this, then you will be trusting self over God because He promised our bread and waters will be sure in the days we cannot buy and sell. As for economic collapse. It may happen, or it may be a fear tactic by Satan to get us to trust self. Still, we are counseled to seek homes outside the city so we can grow our own food as did those during the great depression. Only in the cities were people starving.

I gave Christianity a chance, but it failed. Atheism, makes the most sense, in theological matters. We cannot measure the supernatural scientifically, and all we can do is assume, God does exist or doesn't, but we can not provide any empirical evidence for God, which makes God a prior at best. NicholasPOGM, I respect your view in theology, as you are more of an authentic Christian, then most. Only philosophy, and science can resolve the world's issues,as religion has no effective solutions.
@KevZen2000 if you cannot see the Lord in the trees, birds, animals and sky it's only because you chose not to look. One thing most will admit regardless of their stand "religiously" is that Christian prophecy cannot be refuted. Have you ever peered into the hundreds of prophetic facts outlined in the Word of the Christian God wherein 100% of which has come to fruition just as prophecied? In fact, the prophecies of Daniel even had specific dates no less. Can you see at least a glimpse here?

As for the bible, the bible has been modified in history, and there is no evidence outside the bible for Jesus' Miracles, the Tower of Babel Story, and so on. I take the bible, as a history book, mixed with mythology.

As for "modified" Bibles, yes there are many today. But only ONE matches up with the dead sea scrolls. The KJV is hated by many for that reason because it proves they altered the modern Bibles to make it appear confusing and contradictory. Their attacks on the Word have actually spawned the Atheistic movement.
@NicholasPOGM. How can human comprehend a being like God, because it seems it would be like bacteria, understanding what we are saying, and doing. The moment God is made into any image, or anything we can imagine ,it would not be God, it would be something else.God is infinite, and we are finite, and there is no reason to think people who knew far less encountered this being in the past, and after science has explained majority of the 'miracles' of the bible,to God seem less possible to exist.

Deuteronomy 29:29 says, "The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law." I have seen His hand move, I have seen my prayers answered. Some instantly, some over years. I have seen people healed and come off death beds by the power of the very God some say does not exist. I need not comprehend that which I see clearly.

I remember praying on numerous occasions for God to reveal himself... matter of fact, it was more a demand than a request for "empirical" evidence of His existence- when I came across the SDA interpretations of Daniel of Revelation's prophecies that solidified in my mind and HEART of God's existence and the Bible's reliability.
@marcdaddy33 Thing is, the original SDA interpretations are not man's opinion. They did as 2Peter 1:20 suggested. They allowed the Bible to define it's own symbols. That act, and the fact the end times began and "knowledge increased" allowed them to expose the Vatican for what it was in detail. Too bad they allowed Rome to take them over and force them to fall with them. But then, that to was prophesied so the "remnant of her seed" could finish the job.
