I think putting in the option of your Romance Partner dying in ME3 would be an amazing choice. Does the chance of Liara dying scare me? Yea. But if she DID die, i would stop at NOTHING to kill the bastards who killed her. It would give the game more Human feel. Like i didnt stop the Reapers because of the obvious threat, as much as I stopped them because they killed my Romance Partner. Besides, I could always play a second time and make sure she doesnt die xD.

@Allyy118 I don't know, its got some pretty tough competition this year. Gears of War 3, Dragon Age 2, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Portal 2, A new Call of Duty, possibly a Halo: Combat Evolved remake, and maybe Left 4 Dead 3. Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, and whatever else don't stand a chance.

Skyrim: Enemy #1. For sure. Bethesda and Bioware are badass. Top 2 in the world, by far.

HCE: That's a possible that it'll HAPPEN. Probably not though.

L4d3: Don't even try to compare the 2. Don't even try.

CoD: CoD is totally fag compared to Mass Effect. Not a chance.

Uncharted/Resistance: No particular comment. Don't own a ps3 yet.

2 major, major games you left out was SWTOR (Shock shock! Another Bioware game) and Duke Nukem Forever.

@SerbiaMaNiAC Cod is fun, but definitely not goty material, especially in a year like this. L4D3 is another zombie game, and didn't innovate too much.

And it's not hard to compare an FPS to an RPG, the only thing different about them is the gameplay, and even then it's not TOO different. They both have stories, characters, explosions, soundtracks, and other things. ME1's gameplay was pretty terrible, for example, but I fucking love it because it did many other things perfectly.

@Iteachu2beninja Well, RPGs almost always have a better story and dialogue choices and what not. Their gameplay is non-linear while the FPS games are linear. I see your point, though.

@SerbiaMaNiAC Well that depends really. I would say Skyrim is an RPG and ME3 will go back to its RPG roots.

After that, the setting is different, and you just compare the important things: Story, gameplay, multiplayer... graphics don't hurt (especially Skyrims, they look stunning. Just for the record, I don't care if a games graphics are bad unless they start with an M and end with an inecraft). Also, characters, voice acting, soundtrack, etc.
